Double deep metal wine racks / metal wine racking is utilized here, placed a few feet off of the ground to allow for potential case storage space on the tile below. Black metal wine racking was also chosen, as opposed to silver metal wine racks in order to really make the space pop. The glass here is single pane. Welcome to the Wine Vault! This custom wine cellar in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California is one of a kind. Seriously - Everything about this space from the custom wine racking to the stone work to the sleek stainless steel framed doors.. a one of a kind custom wine cellar designed, built, and installed by custom wine cellar experts Vintage Cellars. This large custom wine room sits in the entertainment room downstairs in this gorgeous Beverly Hills mansion. Walls, ceiling, and floors of stone accentuate the dark custom wine racking used to cradle each wine bottle. Metal Wine Racking is commonplace and a very popular feature in many custom wine cellars / wine rooms / wine walls / wine vaults nowadays - but this was even a first for us too. The client worked closely with designers at Vintage Cellars to come up with a very unique look and desired effect for the bottles, utilizing custom railroad pegs in the style of Carriage Bolts to display each wine bottle neck out. This 500 bottle cellar masterpiece quickly became the showpiece of the entire downstairs of the home. Through careful consideration and planning, the design and install team was able to recess the cooling unit into the wall and duct in the cool air to keep this space at at constant 55 degrees with a perfect relative humidity. Located just off of the living room in this modern home, this custom wine wall exudes simplicity and elegance. Vintage Cellars worked directly with this homeowner to design, build, and install a small wine wall with a glass front, metal wine racks, and stone backing - all the usual suspects for a trendy and artistic showpiece cellar. Holding up to 180 bottles, this glass wine wall utilizes triple deep metal wine pegs drilled directly into the stone wall behind. The pegs hold each wine bottle horizontally so that bottles and their labels are on full display. Through the middle of the cellar, three stone platforms hold oversized bottles upright, though this is truly only a display feature. Serious wine connoisseurs always store their most prized wines horizontally, ensuring that corks remain wet and the bottles are able to be aged gracefully. The Design Build team at Vintage Cellars decided that the best utilization of the space for cooling would be to recess the cooling unit directly into the ceiling. Design Build team at Vintage Cellars was also commissioned to create a unique and stylish wooden backing, to ensure that the metal wine pegs really popped. Custom walnut stain was placed on Alder wood paneling, custom fit with metal wine rack pegs from floor to ceiling. We worked directly with Noe Design Co to create a one of a kind entrance into this cellar. The highest quality stainless steel framing and double pane thermally insulated glass were placed on the front wall to not only maintain a beautiful look, but to also ensure that this wine room kept a perfect 55 degree temperature with constant relative humidity. This wine closet is unassuming from the outside, but it is anything but boring within! This homeowner wanted to display his best bottles in a big way. This custom wine cellar is so unassuming from the outside, you could almost miss it. A small windowed door lets you in, and once inside - the wine racks take you somewhere magical. Poplar with a dark custom stain was utilized to create the sleek and modern look, even though these wine racks are made of wood. White walls behind and a clean and natural wood floor make the wine racks really pop. Beginning at the top of the wine room, individual wine bottle storage sweeps across for bottles needing that extra aging time, not to be touched for years. Directly below sits multiple layers of space for high reveal angled display. Wine bottles are angled visibility as well as maintaining wet corks for proper storage. Mixed in here are coved trays for large format wine bottle display. These coved trays are designed and built for featuring large wine bottles horizontally. Having these adds to a unique and eye catching layout, keeping the wine cellar looking clean and interesting. Directly underneath lies another section for individual bottle storage, as well as room to store original wood cases. Completely enclosed in glass, this custom wine cellar in Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles, California, is sure to turn some heads. Located directly off of the kitchen and dining room, this custom wine room / glass wine cellar / modern wine cellar / contemporary wine cellar holds upwards of 200 bottles. Glass, Metal, and stone are all utilized in our favorite combination for a gorgeous contemporary masterpiece. Double deep metal wine racks / metal wine racking is utilized here, placed a few feet off of the ground to allow for potential case storage space on the tile below. Black metal wine racking was also chosen, as opposed to silver metal wine racks in order to really make the space pop. The glass here is single pane. Master Wine Cellar Builders and Design Build team at Vintage Cellars recommend using dual paned, thermally insulated glass in wine cellars to minimize potential for condensation, as well as making sure that your wine cellar is able to maintain proper temperature and humidity constantly. Single pane glass simply does not have a high enough R Value of insulation, though it can make the space look a bit more clean and elegant. This custom wine cellar inside of renowned Pamplemousse Grille Restaurant in Del Mar, San Diego, California is truly an eye catcher. Originally built for Pamplemousse's 5th anniversary, this wine cellar proves classic and timeless with distressed maple doors and traditional redwood racking behind them. Vintage Wine Cellars and Jeffrey Strauss, famed Chef and incredible philanthropist in San Diego, have a long history of working together.. In addition to this cellar and multiple others in the Pamplemousse Restaurant grounds, we also had the pleasure of designing and building Jeffrey's personal home cellar as well. Walk into the kitchen in this Poway / Rancho Bernardo, San Diego home and it's impossible to miss this gorgeous 2,000 bottle, custom wine cellar showpiece. Completed in 2018, the cellar is complete with custom walnut stained poplar wine racking, rolling ladder for out of reach bottles, and much, much more. Against each window into the kitchen are floor to ceiling frames showcasing label out, metal racking to add a bit of modern flair. Two high reveal display rows circle the entire room, showcasing this homeowner's best bottles and designed to be angled perfectly to ensure the corks stay wet for long term storage. An island in the middle of the room acts as a great spot to open and decant wines, and integrated into each side are custom pieces of cabinetry and room for side displayed large format bottles. Also integrated into the racking is a a small countertop and glass rack. Vintage Cellars / Vintage Wine Cellars just completed this beautiful custom wine cellar duo in a home in Point Loma, San Diego, California. These wine cellars are both for show, one upstairs and the other downstairs. Complete with custom stainless steel doors and windows, these wine rooms provide great views from anywhere in the area. The upstairs cellar is a more contemporary feature with acrylic bottle holders and metal rods from floor to ceiling. This particular wine racking system is meant to make the bottles appear to be floating upon first glance. This wine cellar / wine room / wine feature in Point Loma, San Diego, also shows backlit paneling / back lighting to really make the cellar shine. Walk into the kitchen in this Poway / Rancho Bernardo, San Diego home and it's impossible to miss this gorgeous 2,000 bottle, custom wine cellar showpiece. Completed in 2018, the cellar is complete with custom walnut stained poplar wine racking, rolling ladder for out of reach bottles, and much, much more. Against each window into the kitchen are floor to ceiling frames showcasing label out, metal racking to add a bit of modern flair. Two high reveal display rows circle the entire room, showcasing this homeowner's best bottles and designed to be angled perfectly to ensure the corks stay wet for long term storage. An island in the middle of the room acts as a great spot to open and decant wines, and integrated into each side are custom pieces of cabinetry and room for side displayed large format bottles. Also integrated into the racking is a a small countertop and glass rack. This custom wine cellar inside of renowned Pamplemousse Grille Restaurant in Del Mar, San Diego, California is truly an eye catcher. Originally built for Pamplemousse's 5th anniversary, this wine cellar proves classic and timeless with distressed maple doors and traditional redwood racking behind them. Vintage Wine Cellars and Jeffrey Strauss, famed Chef and incredible philanthropist in San Diego, have a long history of working together.. In addition to this cellar and multiple others in the Pamplemousse Restaurant grounds, we also had the pleasure of designing and building Jeffrey's personal home cellar as well. A little more about the restaurant display cellar: Originally designed and built by Vintage Wine Cellars in 2001, this custom wine room boasts triple deep redwood wine racking, a three opening door system, and room for up to 800 bottles. With plenty of differentiated display, the team at Pamplemousse is able to regularly showcase their true love and understanding (as well as fantastic collection) for guests coming in looking to enjoy a world class bottle in this world class restaurant. Recently, Vintage Wine Cellars updated this cellar with LED lighting, really enhancing the showcasing ability of this small wine cellar. This gorgeous custom wine cellar, designed and built by wine cellar design experts, Vintage Cellars, shows that you can outfit virtually any space to be a one of a kind, perfect place for wine storage. Here in Laguna Beach, Orange County California, the temperatures stay pretty nice year round. Through the magic of wine cellar vapor barrier and insulation, the design build team at Vintage Cellars was able to properly prepare this outbuilding to store over 1700 collectible wines. Working closely with the client, we were able to understand that although display is nice - uncompromising long term storage was the overarching goal. Sweeping throughout the room above, individual bottle storage reigns to maximize bottle count. At about chest height, you can see two rows of angled high reveal display. Here, the homeowner placed his prized bottles - just a glimpse of what this incredible collection holds. Directly in the center of this medium sized wine room lies a small peninsula - a small section jetting out where larger format bottles are kept atop, as well as more space below in individual bottle storage. A small tabletop can be utilized to open wines or to let your favorites decant while you peruse the gems throughout. Below again is more individual bottle storage, sitting atop gorgeous Mediterranean style tile.
