Directly above the case storage lie multiple layers of easy pull out shelving on smooth rolling tracks, seamlessly allowing for drawer sliding with no risk of bottle movement or abrupt stops. A collection of 2010 through 2016 Larkmeade Cabernet Sauvignon bottles from Napa have never looked so good. In the center, a small countertop and opening are used for a practical space to open and decant wines. This wine closet is unassuming from the outside, but it is anything but boring within! This homeowner wanted to display his best bottles in a big way. Poplar with a dark custom stain was utilized to create the sleek and modern look, even though these wine racks are made of wood. White walls behind and a clean and natural wood floor make the wine racks really pop. Beginning at the top of the wine room, individual wine bottle storage sweeps across for bottles needing that extra aging time, not to be touched for years. Directly below sits multiple layers of space for high reveal angled display. Wine bottles are angled visibility as well as maintaining wet corks for proper storage. Mixed in here are coved trays for large format wine bottle display. These coved trays are designed and built for featuring large wine bottles horizontally. This wine closet is unassuming from the outside, but it is anything but boring within! This homeowner wanted to display his best bottles in a big way. This custom wine cellar is so unassuming from the outside, you could almost miss it. A small windowed door lets you in, and once inside - the wine racks take you somewhere magical. Poplar with a dark custom stain was utilized to create the sleek and modern look, even though these wine racks are made of wood. White walls behind and a clean and natural wood floor make the wine racks really pop. Beginning at the top of the wine room, individual wine bottle storage sweeps across for bottles needing that extra aging time, not to be touched for years. Directly below sits multiple layers of space for high reveal angled display. Wine bottles are angled visibility as well as maintaining wet corks for proper storage. Mixed in here are coved trays for large format wine bottle display. These coved trays are designed and built for featuring large wine bottles horizontally. Having these adds to a unique and eye catching layout, keeping the wine cellar looking clean and interesting. This stunning glass enclosed modern custom wine cellar was designed and installed by Vintage Cellars earlier this year. The Contemporary Custom Wine Room was fitted into an existing fireplace space, turning the visually unappealing sore thumb of the room into a magnificent show stopping centerpiece. This modern luxury condo on the 31st floor in a downtown San Diego high-rise acted as a very interesting project for the custom wine cellar design team at Vintage Cellars. The modern wine room space has dual paned, insulated glass but because of the nature of glass itself, the cooling unit was recommended to be oversized. The custom wine room space itself didn't have great options for venting the cooling unit due to the location on the 31st floor. The best option to vent was determined to treat the wine room as a wine cabinet, per se. The Cooling Unit, a CellarPro 1800 XTS, was placed in the ceiling, venting down cool air and circulating vented air back upward. The result works perfectly for a uniquely modern and contemporary space such as this. This fully enclosed, glass front custom wine cellar boasts a 300 bottle capacity with a sleek, modern, label forward feel that ULTRA Wine Peg racking is known for. The center section is a double stacked full reveal display row, showcasing some of the homeowner's finer wines. Though no particular space was made within the wine racking area, the design of this modern custom wine cellar was pushed back a couple of feet so that wine case storage could be an option between the glass front and the custom racking. Additionally, the clean feel goes even further upon looking for the entrance into this wine cellar. The flat panel on the furthest left side opens slowly and almost magically when pushed in slightly. A great, modern touch! A gorgeous, modern condo such as this is just begging to have a custom wine cellar. This space, with big help from this contemporary wine room, screams luxury upon entering. West Los Angeles Custom Wine Cellar Metal Bronze Racking and Custom Shelving Vintage Cellars, in collaboration with internally acclaimed Interior Designers Joan Behnke Design & Associates, designed and built this stunning custom wine cellar in Santa Monica, West Los Angeles. The homeowner - an internationally acclaimed Winery Owner and Vintner, worked directly with our team to properly store their incredible wine collection of over 3500 bottles. With an unbelievable collection of First Growth Bordeaux s, Burgundy Domaine de la Romanee Conti s, Cult Napa Cabernets, and more, the homeowner wanted the utmost care and expertise in creating an environment perfectly designed to store and age their wines gracefully. The team at Vintage Cellars was able to work with the client intimately, talking through and understanding this unique collection of splits, 750’s, and large format bottles from the ground up, creating a completely custom wine racking system to perfectly meet all wants and needs. The wine racking is a mixture of custom unfinished black walnut cabinetry, coupled with a showstopping bronze racking showpiece viewable through the kitchen picture window. Many wine racks are backlit with LED lighting and fully illuminated panels to add extra pop. The cellar also features space for original wooden case storage, coved trays for both standard and magnum sized bottles, custom enclaves for larger bottles, and bread boards throughout for entertaining. The entire cellar is large enough to store the collection with room to grow - upwards of 250 square feet complete with two redundant whisperkool 4000 btu ceiling mount wine cellar cooling systems, and integrated humidification features. Looking into the wine cellar from the kitchen, you can see many prized bottles on display, beautifully cradled by metal wine racking through the dual pane, thermally insulated window.
