Tasteful update to classic Henry Hill mid-century modern in the Berkeley Hills designed by Fischer Architecture in 2017. The project was featured by Curbed.com. Construction work required updating all systems to modern standards and code. Project included full master bedroom with ensuite bath, kitchen remodel, new roofing and windows, plumbing and electrical update, security system and modern technology updates. Control of the interior lighting allows one to set the ambience for listening to musical performances. Each instrument is connected to the Audio Distribution system so everyone may enjoy the performance; no mater where they are in the house. Audio controls allow precise volume adjustments of incoming and outgoing signals. Automatic shades protect the furnishings from sun damage and works with the Smart Thermostat to keep the environment at the right temperature all-year round. Freezing temperature sensors ensure the fireplace automatically ignites just in case the HVAC lost power or broke down. Contact sensors on the windows and door work with the home weather station to determine if windows/doors need to be closed when raining; not to mention the primary use with the security system to detect unwanted intruders.

This meant tying together audio from Amina, video from LG Electronics, lighting from KNX, shade control from Lutron, controls from Basalte and physical security from 2N to provide an immersive and intuitive technology experience for anyone using the home.

The RING Video Doorbell has wide angled HD video, smart motion detection, and cloud recording – like they're home even when they’re not. Convenience: They don't arrange their lives around a delivery schedule. With the Ring™ Video Doorbell, they don’t have to. They always know when a package arrives - whether you’re upstairs or across town. Monitoring: No need to wonder if something is going on outside their home, they can see for themselves. Built-in motion sensors detect any activity on the property and trigger instant mobile alerts, giving peace of mind when they're away. Security: The Video Doorbell provides a new level of security, by notifying they when someone is on their property and letting them see and speak with anyone at the front door. Imagine being home alone at night, and answering the door in complete safety and comfort.

To provide physical security to the home, we installed a 2N IP Verso security system that provided a security camera feed and an RFID access point. The IP Verso system integrates with the Savant controls and the Lutron Palladiom keypads in the home so the owners can view their security camera or allow access to their home from wherever they are in the world at any given time.
