Villa Lumina, in Paphos, Cyprus, blends modern architecture and practicality with nature preservation. We made sure to harmonize nature with the modern style, integrating trees into the overall design for the house and terrace.
The materials used, like stone, wood, and porcelain stoneware, not only match the Cypriot scenery but are also long-lasting and environmentally friendly. For instance, stone surfaces look nice and are able to withstand the elements well, whereas wood keeps the warmth inside. The villa has two separate parts - a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area, and a more secluded part containing a main bedroom, walk-in closet, kids' rooms, and private bathrooms. Entering the house leads to a courtyard which is connected to the terrace and pool area and extends the living space.
Villa Lumina shows how to make living spaces that fulfill people's needs without hurting the environment.

Thanks so much to Jess from JMF DESIGN and the owners for allowing us to do the joinery in this stunning beach house, which we absolutely love.
The kitchen has a beautiful aspect out of a landscaped west facing window showing off the sunshine coast hinterland in a postcard like affect which draws the outside in with the beautiful blackbutt battons on feature wall hiding away the secret walk in pantry, stylish appliances and integrated fridges.
Sitting at the huge beautiful island benchtop is wonderful with an easterly view over looking the blue ocean.
The house has been meticulously designed with timber joinery featuring throughout out the house giving it a real warmth and natural feel.
A Hidden pull down bed is a great feature in the office, not only looking great with a wall paper backing to match the joinery but making a simple solution for that extra bed ready to go at an instance.
The separate cottage is finished in a Country style VJ 2pak, not only providing an awesome amount of storage but really looking the part.
If thats not enough what about the alfresco area big enough to entertain all your friends with a full kitchen array of appliances as well as an indoor BBQ , designed with a commercial edge, but compliments the rest of the house perfectly.

A conservatory can be added to even quite narrow lots and small dark houses. In this instances we open up the wall separating the kitchen and dining room, and opened up both to the new rear conservatory. In doing so we brought much-needed light into dark interiors, and established a positive link from those interiors to the terrace and garden beyond.

The client decided that she was in her "forever home" and wanted to create a space that felt clean and fresh but referenced elements of a vintage aesthetic. Panel molding, gently swooping paintable wallpaper, a high-contrast palette and gleaming fixtures from Kohler's Artifacts line all contributed to the look. "I'm never leaving this room," she said when we were done--and somehow I believe that might just be true!

The existing kitchen was actually tiny and poorly laid out. The solution was to completely remove the wall separating the kitchen from the dining room. Even though we actually have more things in the kitchen - such as the full-size wine frig - the feeling is still expansive.
In this instance, the homeowners were open to a creative blend of light gray, modern wood, and dark blue cabinets. Almost totally white quartz countertops rounded out the look.

This alcove in a hallway flanking the garage is bordered by a large coat closet. Bridgewater's signature optional Drop Zone cabinetry and countertop would be placed here. In this instance, the alcove was used for a free standing bar/serving area for entertaining, making it convenient to the lower level staircase and a separate area from kitchen countertops. Lovely! http://www.bridgewatercommunities.com
