The new red oak flooring continues in this bright dining room. We also added crown molding to the ceiling, painted the walls and the fireplace surround. The main projects in this Wayne, PA home were renovating the kitchen and the master bathroom, but we also updated the mudroom and the dining room. Using different materials and textures in light colors, we opened up and brightened this lovely home giving it an overall light and airy feel. Expanded existing kitchen beyond former space to include the space including, and beyond, the large window, by adding cabinetry above and below. The window seat provides extra storage, as well as seating. Increased countertop space was created by moving the sink and appliances, while also adding a prep sink in the custom built island, with hidden slim storage on each end. A custom built table frame with a smoked glass top provided table seating, which was integrated into extra storage cabinets, which provided bar height seating, as well. The homeowners were involved in all of the selections, which made this beautiful kitchen a collaborative effort that turned out beautifully! The highly skilled, detail oriented, craftsmen and tradesmen are who made this kitchen remodel come off of the paper and into the gorgeous, functional, and timeless space that it is.

The window seat is part of the new 3rd floor bedroom. The three drawers provide storage and the window gives this nook lots of natural light. What started as an addition project turned into a full house remodel in this Modern Craftsman home in Narberth, PA. The addition included the creation of a sitting room, family room, mudroom and third floor. As we moved to the rest of the home, we designed and built a custom staircase to connect the family room to the existing kitchen. We laid red oak flooring with a mahogany inlay throughout house. Another central feature of this is home is all the built-in storage. We used or created every nook for seating and storage throughout the house, as you can see in the family room, dining area, staircase landing, bedroom and bathrooms. Custom wainscoting and trim are everywhere you look, and gives a clean, polished look to this warm house. This two-year remodel odyssey saw Ariel and Robert put their design and build skills to the test to transform a two bedroom/two bathroom single-story home – that had never been touched or updated! - into a three-bedroom rental property that was warm and functional. Some of the highlights? Ariel and Robert’s parents’ laying all the flooring, Robert tiling the guest bathroom by himself, and Ariel and Robert tying the knot in the backyard in 2020. Ariel and Robert were determined to create a home that was wholly WFH-friendly, so they designed two separate areas that made working from home a breeze. Ariel’s workspace featured an accent wall in dark teal, wooden desks for warmth and texture, leather chairs for a contrast in material and was loaded with storage for ASR’s paint, fabric and design samples. Meanwhile, Robert’s space was nerd-proofed and approved with room to showcase his hobbies and support his gaming. Ariel and Robert love hosting, so their kitchen and living spaces were designed to maximize both space and style. The kitchen was kept in the same general location, but they opened up the wall between the kitchen and living room to make it feel more inviting. Robert built the floating shelves and integrated lighting into them while blue and glass tiles were carried all the way up to the ceiling to make the space appear larger.

The sleek yet traditional kitchen has gray and white quartzite counters, a porcelain tile backsplash with a gray Carrera marble accent, and a paneled refrigerator. The large island has seating for six and a lot of storage. A beverage center is a really convenient feature of this great room. Chrome pendant lights and fixtures and stainless-steel appliances really give this kitchen a clean look. We tore down the walls between four rooms to create this great room in Villanova, PA. And what a difference it makes! This bright space is perfect for everyday living and entertaining family and friends as the kitchen, eating and living areas flow seamlessly. With red oak flooring throughout, we used white and light gray materials and crown moulding to give this large space a cohesive yet open feel. We added wainscoting to the steel post columns. Other projects in this house included installing red oak flooring throughout the first floor, refinishing the main staircase, building new stairs into the basement, installing new basement flooring and opening the basement rooms to create another entertainment area.
