This all white galley kitchen is crisp and bright. The backsplash is handmade porcelain white subway tiles with a crackle finish, which is a perfect accent for the white quartz counters and white cabinets. The bumped-out sink is housed in a furniture-grade valance and adds another dimension to the space. Storage is the name of the game in this kitchen, including convenient drawers under the range. Oiled bronze lighting and galvanized steel cabinet pulls complete this room’s sleek look. This farmhouse style home in West Chester is the epitome of warmth and welcoming. We transformed this house’s original dark interior into a light, bright sanctuary. From installing brand new red oak flooring throughout the first floor to adding horizontal shiplap to the ceiling in the family room, we really enjoyed working with the homeowners on every aspect of each room. This two-year remodel odyssey saw Ariel and Robert put their design and build skills to the test to transform a two bedroom/two bathroom single-story home – that had never been touched or updated! - into a three-bedroom rental property that was warm and functional. Some of the highlights? Ariel and Robert’s parents’ laying all the flooring, Robert tiling the guest bathroom by himself, and Ariel and Robert tying the knot in the backyard in 2020. Ariel and Robert were determined to create a home that was wholly WFH-friendly, so they designed two separate areas that made working from home a breeze. Ariel’s workspace featured an accent wall in dark teal, wooden desks for warmth and texture, leather chairs for a contrast in material and was loaded with storage for ASR’s paint, fabric and design samples. Meanwhile, Robert’s space was nerd-proofed and approved with room to showcase his hobbies and support his gaming. Ariel and Robert love hosting, so their kitchen and living spaces were designed to maximize both space and style. The kitchen was kept in the same general location, but they opened up the wall between the kitchen and living room to make it feel more inviting. Robert built the floating shelves and integrated lighting into them while blue and glass tiles were carried all the way up to the ceiling to make the space appear larger.

In this transitional farmhouse in West Chester, PA, we renovated the kitchen and family room, and installed new flooring and custom millwork throughout the entire first floor. New Urban Luxury Private Residence – Alys Beach, Florida Architect: Khoury & Vogt Architects Builder: BRW Builders of Destin E. F. San Juan supplied all the interior and exterior wood millwork for this expertly designed residence adjacent to the snow-white dunes found in the serene New Urban townscape of Alys Beach, Florida. Challenges: The most significant design challenge of this project was to engineer a processing method to fabricate the complex millwork components in mass for the outdoor lounge. Khoury & Vogt Architects created a custom design for an inspiring and elegant outdoor living space. Fortunately, this house had a resourceful and creative team ensuring the vision of the design stayed intact. Solution: The intricate design required a creative approach which entailed high-level fabricating skills. “This project stands out in my mind because it required that I personally design and build numerous jigs,” says Edward San Juan. Taking on the challenge, San Juan designed and handcrafted each jig to the exact specification required for the exterior design. The team at E. F. San Juan continued with the creative approach, integrating and assembling the custom jigs to produce a work of art. The millwork beautifully complements the sleek white design on the deep indoor-outdoor decks, allowing the feel of the surrounding nature to flow inside. This condominium is modern and sleek, while still retaining much of its traditional charm. We added paneling to the walls, archway, door frames, and around the fireplace for a special and unique look throughout the home. To create the entry with convenient built-in shoe storage and bench, we cut an alcove an existing to hallway. The deep-silled windows in the kitchen provided the perfect place for an eating area, which we outfitted with shelving for additional storage. Form, function, and design united in the beautiful black and white kitchen. It is a cook’s dream with ample storage and counter space. The bathrooms play with gray and white in different materials and textures to create timeless looks.
