This “basement” can go toe-to-toe with any posh Manhattan nightclub thanks to its custom built bar, LED lighting accents, lounge area with a wraparound leather sofa, electric fireplace, 120-bottle wine cellar, “pillar of fire” column with drink rests, a smoke machine, and laser lights. But the icing on this mini nightclub’s cake is something that’s vital for a long night of partying–the room’s lighting, three TVs and two zones of audio are all super easy to control right from an iPad through the ELAN g! entertainment and control system.

We chose the Samsung HDTVs because they’re four times sharper than a full-HD display, thanks not only to their 4K UHD resolution, but because they feature active crystal color, high dynamic range and UDH dimming. That makes the video absolutely stunning by brightening every image, enhancing contrast for outstanding display of detail, and ensuring true-to-life color. The Smart TVs easily display streaming video with no additional boxes or dongles required, and are incredibly slim so they blend in perfectly with the décor in each room.

New technologies have made TVs bigger than ever. Sophisticated cabinetry can cleverly disguise these big screens creating a focal point that is both smart and chic. Pocket doors work beautifully in the application. To accommodate baseboard heat, air is vented at the base of the cabinet and funneled up the wall.

This multi-purpose room called the “Kid’s Retreat” incorporates a TV wall with a single 85” 4k UHD TV and two 55” HD TVs. This allows the family to watch up to 3 games at the same time or even give Dad the option to watch two game while the kids play their Xbox. All equipment is remotely located in an adjacent closet out of sight. Simple room control is made possible with the Control4 home automation system via a hard button remote, iPad/Android or the use of a smart phone. Of course, we incorporated full surround sound and put every speaker (including the dual monster subwoofers) out of view.
