Architectural rendering is the process of creating a visual representation of a building or structure. It is a critical part of the design process and helps architects, clients, and stakeholders visualize the final product. The Broadway Block complex in Downtown Long Beach is no exception. This project requires a high-quality architectural rendering to bring it to life and showcase its design features and aesthetic qualities. A 3D model of the Broadway Block complex can be created using advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software. The model will include all the architectural details such as windows, doors, balconies, roof lines, and other features. This information will be used to create a photorealistic image of the complex that accurately represents what it will look like once it is built. The architectural rendering of the Broadway Block complex should showcase its unique features and highlight its contribution to the downtown Long Beach skyline. The complex should be depicted in an aesthetically pleasing way that showcases its modern design and enhances its visual appeal. The use of lighting and shadows in the architectural rendering can greatly enhance the overall look and feel of the image. To accomplish all of her design goals though, Jenny needed help. “I don’t have the patience to measure or figure out dimensions. Plus, I have a toddler and a full-time job at a tech start up. I just wanted someone to do it all for me,” she explains. Originally, she and her sister used IKEA’s design service, but found that process time consuming and confusing. In fact, the IKEA planner had issues with IKEA’s software during the design process, which delayed the project. “So, I found IKD and immediately signed up,” she says, adding that she worked with IKD on designs at night while her baby was asleep. And while the design process took months, for that reason, Jenny concludes that, “Paulina at IKD was amazing, was so responsive and answered all my questions!”

What’s also particularly interesting is that Sergei initially wanted an all-white design theme. “We decided to mix contrasting colors and finishes and use darker-colored stainless steel cabinets in the bottom part of the kitchen to anchor our high-gloss white upper kitchen cabinets. [I feel] stainless steel adds a loft-like feeling and pairs well with the steel and tempered glass loft area. They also reflect the light better so our kitchen looks crisp and bright overall.” He concludes: “Our kitchen really pairs well with the industrial-style kitchen décor of our apartment and, at the same time, helps to achieve an upscale, elegant look.” More than pleased with his project, Sergei suggests how to get similar results in your kitchen remodel. “Hire IKD designers, they are super professional,” he says. “I could envision our new kitchen but I needed somebody to draw the design using professional kitchen software to include floor plans, elevations, materials to buy, etc. Our IKD designer was able to capture my vision and deliver 3-D design renderings and the IKEA Home Planner file so that we could purchase our kitchen confidently, knowing everything would work.” He concludes: “After this renovation, our kitchen became more luminous and uncluttered. Now that it’s done, we couldn’t be happier. We love our new kitchen and frequently receive compliments from our guests!”
