This piece is a smaller version of our industrial apothecary cabinet. It could also be used as a retail display cabinet, or industrial pantry for your home. It can be made in any size or configuration, but this listing is for one that features 3 doors; the top and bottom doors are solid steel with a vintage style patina. The middle has been constructed with a beautiful wire glass. Behind the glass door is a removable center shelf (not shown in pictures), but it could also be made with an adjustable shelf, more shelves, or no shelf at all. The doors could also be made with mesh, reclaimed wood, frosted or clear glass or any combination. The top and sides of this piece have been built with solid steel panels but it could be made with any of our beautiful reclaimed woods. It has been made without the decorative industrial-style rivets, but they could be added for no additional charge. A beautifully shaped top and splayed, tapered legs give Ventura a distinctly mid-century look. Made in West Virginia, the reverse-beveled top edge and unique, tapered legs are indicative of the care and craftsmanship that goes into each table. The design showcases the warm, distinctive look of solid wood.

This piece is one of our industrial horizontal filing cabinets that would look great in any industrial office or home office setting. It has been beautifully handcrafted of solid steel that has been finished in a vintage style patina. We can make this lateral filing cabinet in any size and configuration, but the one listed here has been constructed with four large pullout file drawers of equal size, with inner mesh doors, and in the dimensions of 72” W x 20” D x 30” high. It could be made with more drawers or less, depending on your needs. Locks could also be installed to secure your confidential documents or whatever belongings may be inside. The top is made with durable solid steel but for a more rustic industrial look, could be outfitted with any of the reclaimed woods you see on any of our other pieces. We even have a few on hand that have historical significance, but these add significantly to the price and have very limited availability. We can also make it in any of the steel finishes you see on any of our other items. The center compartment has been built with two mesh doors, but could be made solid steel or reclaimed wood to complement the vintage look. Behind the doors is one removable shelf inside the cabinet. This area can be used to store more files or office supplies. The shelf could also be constructed to adjustable (for an additional price – please inquire). The impressive modern industrial style has been enhanced by the use of decorative rivets. We can always add more or less or none at all. The filing cabinet sits on legs adorned with industrial style brackets, but could be replaced with casters for a mobile file cabinet. These also make great industrial dressers. The homeowners desired an outdoor space that felt more rustic than their refined interior spaces, but still related architecturally to their house. Cement plaster support arbor columns provide enough of visual tie to the existing house exterior. Oversized wood beams and rafter members provide a unique outdoor atmosphere. The goal of this project was to provide a lush and vast garden for the new owners of this recently remodeled brick Georgian. Located in Wheaton this acre plus property is surrounded by beautiful Oaks. Preserving the Oaks became a particular challenge with the ample front walk and generous entertaining spaces the client desired. Under most of the Oaks the turf was in very poor condition, and most of the property was covered with undesirable overgrown underbrush such as Garlic Mustard weed and Buckthorn. With a recently completed addition, the garages were pushed farther from the front door leaving a large distance between the drive and entry to the home. This prompted the addition of a secondary door off the kitchen. A meandering walk curves past the secondary entry and leads guests through the front garden to the main entry. Off the secondary door a “kitchen patio” complete with a custom gate and Green Mountain Boxwood hedge give the clients a quaint space to enjoy a morning cup of joe. Stepping stone pathways lead around the home and weave through multiple pocket gardens within the vast backyard. The paths extend deep into the property leading to individual and unique gardens with a variety of plantings that are tied together with rustic stonewalls and sinuous turf areas. Closer to the home a large paver patio opens up to the backyard gardens. New stoops were constructed and existing stoops were covered in bluestone and mortared stonewalls were added, complimenting the classic Georgian architecture. The completed project accomplished all the goals of creating a lush and vast garden that fit the remodeled home and lifestyle of its new owners. Through careful planning, all mature Oaks were preserved, undesirables removed and numerous new plantings along with detailed stonework helped to define the new landscape.
