The Beauty of Rich Finishes
The designer instills a dramatic, moody and deeply textured aesthetic in the kitchen space. The walnut wood combined with dark and moody tones, creates an intimate ambiance making this large open space feel grounded, stable, and welcoming. Layered lighting from natural light and track lighting, along with integrated high-end appliances, adds to the striking beauty.
The kitchen exudes warmth and elegance characterized by the luxurious Topos Walnut wood cabinets with their rich color and naturally smooth grain. The walnut palette, combined with the textured dark grey Kiruna cabinets and the marble-like Laurent stone—which showcases a deep brown hue with integrated gold and copper veining—creates a powerful and beautiful atmosphere.
The design is a highly organized layout that focuses on the homeowner’s every day and entertaining lifestyle, emphasizing functionality, efficiency, and streamlined aesthetics.
The back kitchen/butler pantry area was designed to help keep the main kitchen clean and organized. Bulk cooking will take place in the back kitchen area, which has a full suite of appliances. The pantry is accessible yet hidden from the main kitchen via a passage door concealed within the main kitchen.
The downstairs bar area has a sink, dishwasher, beverage fridge and drawer microwave. Designed for easy functionality, it offers ample counter space for small appliances like a juicer, blender, or tea kettle, allowing for refreshment after using the adjacent home gym.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"Goran and his team at Leight Westchester are highly reliable, trustworthy and just fantastic! We were more than satisfied with Goran’s professional advice as well as attention to details. All of our friends who visit our house praise the look and design of our custom kitchen, powder room and basement wet bar. Goran also introduced and coordinated the Dekton and other stone fabrication companies who did an impeccable job in design, color and specifications. Goran even gave us his opinion as to the lighting designs which were of great help. All European seamless cabinet doors with no handle look just impressive. A few of our friends have already started working with Goran on the entire kitchen cabinet system, and all thank us for the introduction!!!"

Every design decision for this Caribbean beach residence was guided by the desire to maximize the views of the property’s breathtaking natural surroundings.
To connect the spaces and reveal the views from every vantage point, the team reconfigured the layout to create vistas, and installed window film to reduce solar heat gain. These modifications increased efficiencies, reused 90% of the interior envelope and did not impact the exterior structure of the building. In addition to providing incredible views, opening up the plan allows cross ventilation, maximizing the use of ocean breezes to cool the interior. The result is an effortless flow and maximization of space.
Throughout the interior, dark materials express the concept of respite in the shade, and emphasize the sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea. Millwork crafted by local artisans from local materials establishes hierarchy – providing a clear understanding of the layout – and filters light to create privacy and drama. Screens help define the spaces and create suspense.
Varying screen opacities serve specific functions: nearly opaque screens build suspense, translucent screens provide privacy, and reflective screens – as seen in the kitchen ceiling – create mystery in the core where light and views
are challenged. Referencing the seaside location, the baseboards create a sense of being in a deep shallow. The 16” tall baseboards create a pool effect, engaging the walls with Cradle to Cradle certified Mosa tile flooring. The irregular height also conceals power and data cabling. The resulting space is a contemporary oasis that offers a high-level of comfort and functionality.

This residential landscape concept explores how a steep backyard could become a connected sequence of outdoor rooms without removing the character of the existing terrain. The proposed layout includes an upper cedar dining pavilion, broad stone circulation steps, a secluded woodland lounge and a planted rain garden conceived to organize surface runoff. Ferns, grasses and multi-stem trees provide privacy, seasonal texture and a natural transition to the surrounding landscape. The design focuses on safer circulation, usable outdoor space and year-round visual interest. Concept design and AI-assisted visualization by LANDYUO. The images represent an unbuilt design study, not a completed project. Final grading and drainage require site-specific professional review.

This piece is our modern industrial retail cabinet and shelving unit. The sleek design could fit any modern boutique or vintage style retail setting. When used as a retail fixture, the small footprint does not take up valuable real estate in your establishment! It is handmade by us and can be made in any size or configuration imaginable.
The lower cabinet area measures 24” W x 27 ¾” D x 27 ¾” H and is ordained with vintage industrial rivets. We have treated the sides and doors of the piece with a chemical patina that gives it its neutral dark color that matches any décor. The doors could be made with a mesh face or one of our beautiful reclaimed woods. Behind the doors is a fixed center shelf, but it could be made with a removable shelf, none at all or a vertical partition. Locks could also be installed to keep your belongings safe.
The upper hutch has been designed with three removable shelves to display your wares, but more could be added. The hutch measures 24” W x 14 3/8” D x 54 ¼” H. The shelves are spaced at 12 ¾” and could also be made fixed or adjustable. The sides of the hutch are constructed of the same durable steel, but could be made with new or reclaimed wood (stained any color you like), or mesh for more visibility. Doors could also be added to the hutch to make it a cabinet area, with options including solid steel, mesh, and glass.
The back of the unit is decorative, so it could be used as the centerpiece of your retail store. The back paneling is solid steel, but holes could be made in the back at no additional charge to accommodate power cords for LED lighting. This unit is made with straight legs but could be outfitted with casters for a mobile industrial retail fixture that can continue to adapt with the dynamic of your establishment.

Our client’s wish list included specific areas for a grill, a hot tub, and some needed shade in a very sunny back yard. The original stamped concrete patio was constructed 2-3 feet above grade making it a clear safety hazard. Originally the home had a single door to the back yard. The recently added family room added a door wall. The two entrances now provided back yard access but needed to be tied-in cohesively with a new design.
Our comprehensive design included the deck, paver patio, and specified the shade-providing pergola. Project management required removals, deck construction, gas line installation, burial of power lines, pergola and hot tub installation.
We delivered an entertainment space designed for family fun, as well as an adult hang out, perfect for an afternoon get-together or an evening retreat.

We designed this newly constructed 14,300 sq ft beach house, including: comprehensive construction documents; interior details, drawings and specifications; custom power & lighting; client & builder communications. ||| Interior design by: Harry J Crouse Design Inc

IGLOO - Fontana Arte
www.softsquare.com
Igloo represents the great innovation in hanging spotlights. It is in fact a modular, self-supporting lighting system that, thanks to a series of electromechanical connections with curves and spacers, allows for consecutive linking of up to two hundred units without the need for any additional power cable. This gives the lighting designer the possibility of creating open, flexible compositions. The double shell in self-extinguishing plastic technopolymer allows for easy installation of the units, whether vertically or horizontally and in either case allows for the designer to choose uplighting or downlighting during installation. The system consists of linear and curve conjunctions, spacers, mechanical hanging and of wiring elements. Igloo therefore ensures versatile, infinitely replicable modularity. The system uses LEDs as the light source and is suitable for contract installation in the retail, hospitality, office and business sectors, where compositions can be as complex or as simple as required or in homes, with a more decorative effect. Versatility is the key to this product as it makes diffused lighting possible in rooms of any size and can meet any lighting requirement. Specific LED dimmers can be used for the Igloo element and relative systems.

In this unique interior design endeavor, we breathed new life into an old woodland cabin, transforming it into a luxurious Airbnb retreat that embraces the rustic charm of the surroundings. We opted for a warm and inviting color palette. Neutral tones, black metals, and rich brown leather accents were carefully chosen to seamlessly blend with the cabin's natural surroundings. This color scheme evokes a sense of cozy elegance that harmonizes with the cabin's rustic vibe. The project involved the renovation of the kitchen and bathrooms. We modernized these spaces while ensuring they maintained the cabin's character. We meticulously curated a shopping list that aligned with the client's budget, ensuring that every element chosen for the project was of high quality and met their specific requirements. This entire project was executed remotely, showcasing the power of long-distance creativity. The result is an enchanting Airbnb cabin that offers guests a one-of-a-kind luxury experience amidst the tranquil beauty of the woods.

Built in the pre Civil War era (est. 1830's), this historic barn's addition was built to match with its notably beautiful characteristics and to maintain its integrity. It was custom built with rough sawn eastern Hemlock fibers and cladding. The walls were poured concrete walls with a stucco finish to give it a strong, durable, and rustic feel. Each custom door and window was designed to have a specific purpose for the barn's functionality and client's needs. As a full working barn that includes horses, the cutest donkey, chickens, and ducks, a standing seam roof was installed with solar panels to give daily power to these amazing animals. Coinciding with its history, the barn's floor bricks were repurposed from Second Chance in Baltimore, Maryland.

The original idea was to update the tile floor and the tub. That’s it.
A further discussion of wants and needs revealed intentions for an eventual larger shower and an improved vanity storage. It made sense to map out the possibilities and design our update with potential next steps in mind. The process was exciting, ultimately leading to the decision to do a full primary bath remodel.
Design Objectives:
-Maintain existing locations for all major bathroom functions
-Make the shower larger and more open
-Use luxurious materials throughout
-Improve vanity storage and define accessories for specific items
-Incorporate luxury shower fixtures
-Include the latest technology
Design Challenges
-Enlarging the shower in a typical rectangular shape would block the view and light from the alcove windows behind the tub
-Logical placement of the built-in shower caddy and all shower components in accordance with how and where they were to be used
-Keeping the long, back wall free from any shower modules to maintain the decorative tile design
-Combining the owner’s existing smart home system with a comprehensive shower system
-Planning cabinetry for hidden storage and use for various small appliances and make-up
-Integrating expensive shower wall tile with less expensive wall tile for aesthetic and budget purposes
-Incorporating special design features to balance the highly decorative shower tile
Design solutions:
-A clipped corner was planned for the shower bench seat – this allowed for a larger glass wall. The glass wall at the angled bench also brought more natural light into the shower
-Thoughtful shower space design prevented the crowding of features – the shower caddy and handheld shower head were placed on the full-height wall by the shower bench, the regular shower head and body sprays remained on the opposite wall, and the rain head was placed in the center of the shower
-A multi-port DTV system was installed, providing control of all shower components, including chromotherapy and music inside and outside the shower
-The lavish water-jet stone and glass decorative tile was paired with a less-expensive glass tile found in the mosaic
-Pull-out grooming organizers and electrical docking stations were incorporated into the cabinetry
Additional storage was created in the lower corner cabinet
The homeowners are thrilled with their new primary bathroom. Clear goals and carefully evaluated materials informed a fun and functional design that is both thoughtful and sumptuous!
