Master bathroom remodel where we kept the original footprint for the most part but we updated all the materials, added some elegant lighting and speculator tile. The wood tile flooring was cut to a smaller size to create smaller pattern. The vanity walls feature a glass v shaped tile surrounded by marble linear. The crystal chandelier over the tub and at the vanity wall add an elegance to this master bathroom.

Frontier Group; ***April 2008 Home of the Month, Raleigh News and Observer
The owner and developer of this speculative project wanted a home inspired by Gustav Stickley, who introduced America to the European Arts and Crafts movement with his 1901 pamphlet, ‘Chips from the Workshop.’
Together, we created a multi-generational family of clients and then designed a house for them. The design includes a main floor master suite, an upper floor children’s room and playroom, and an accessible lower floor in-law suite and media room. This cottage uses local materials and natural light. It also includes typical Arts and Crafts built-in cabinetry, benches, and hidden features. There is ample storage and closet space. Outside, natural stone, stucco, and siding combine to create a low-maintenance façade.
* This cottage earned the April 2008 ‘Home of the Month Award,’ featured in the Raleigh News and Observer. This award is a collaborative effort between the newspaper and NC State University’s School of Design, through its home environments design initiative. The selections bring attention to the value of good design in housing. The home was praised for its natural light and excellent siting.
McCoy Homes, Inc.
Our Sheridian floor plan is one of MHI newest layouts. This home began as a speculative constructed home to sale, but a little over halfway through the project we had a client who opted to purchase the home. The home then turned into a custom new home sale. We had to adjust a few of the originally planned selections as well as exterior features to incorporate the clients preferences into the home. This beautiful custom creation was constructed in the community of Scarlet Ridge located in Ooltewah.

This Craftsman style house went from 1950s split-level to contemporary design featuring a large family room with oak truss ceiling, outdoor decks and a walk-out basement. We used most of the existing foundation and first-floor perimeter walls and embraced the narrow, deep lot. This was a Design Build speculative house that started a trend of upgrading the entire street.

Western DuPage Landscaping, Inc.
Since the completion of the home our company has maintained this property. Originally built by a local builder as a speculation home, it was purchased by two busy professionals.
Why is this important? Let's just say the clients are particular and like it when things aren't just so. Both have high level careers, travel often and expect their landscape to be pristine. Year after year our company rises to this challenge.
When originally installed, the builder wanted larger plant material to provide a full and mature look. The continued growth provides a pruning challenge, especially when the client prefers a clean, neat and "compact" landscape. We continually monitor growth and hand prune accordingly, including yearly winter pruning.
The backyard is particularly difficult due to the shade, moisture run-off from neighboring properties. The turf requires constant monitoring and adjustment to the irrigation system. The trees create a mess requiring clean up along with yearly power washing of the stone.
While the challenges are many, the fine maintenance has led to happy clients and numerous referrals.
