For this newly-built waterfront home on Long Island’s north shore, Bakes & Kropp designed a modern, transitional kitchen and complimentary bathroom spaces. Led by Senior Kitchen Designer Mary Dimichino, the design team drew inspiration from the peaceful water vista framed by the kitchen windows. The result is an open, airy space with clean lines and a soothing mixture of white and walnut finishes tempered by polished metal accents.

In this kitchen remodeling Waypoint Living Spaces 630F Maple Spice soft close cabinets were installed. Eternia Claremont 3cm quartz with a double roundover edge was installed on the countertops. The backsplash is 3”x6” ceramic tile in Almond color set in subway pattern in one row of 5/8” mosaic accent tile. A Blanco Silgranite undermount double equal bowl in Truffle color with Moen Arbor pull out faucet in spot resistant stainless. Calibre Coastal Inspiration luxury vinyl floating flooring was installed.

Inspiration for a transitional kitchen remodel in Salt Lake City

The worldly style of this inventive space draws inspiration from Latin American design. Warm wood tones, a custom copper hood, and hand painted Mexican tiles complement the clients Latin American artwork. The Crystal frameless cabinetry is in a black walnut shaker style and natural anigre flat panel door. This once closed-in kitchen has become a gorgeous and bright open-concept space. To let in plenty of natural light from the adjacent dining and living room, we first knocked down a wall and relocated the kitchen stove. This new and improved open floor plan gave way to a stunning design, perfect for entertaining! Other features included an upgraded electrical service, completely new cabinets, new tile flooring, new cabinets, new bar pulls, new recessed lights, and a new pendant light.
