QUIET MODE | Quiet mode function delivers quiet comfort to your room. In heating or cooling mode, the indoor unit operates normally for the first ten (10) minutes or until room setpoint temperature is reached. Then the system will operate quietly at low fan speed.

Entering the home through a floor-to-ceiling full light pivoting front door provides a sense of grandeur that continues through the home with immediate sightlines through the 16-foot wide sliding door at the opposite wall. The distinct black window frames provide a sleek modern aesthetic while providing European performance standards. The Glo A5h Series with double-pane glazing outperforms most North American triple pane windows due to high performance spacers, low iron glass, a larger continuous thermal break, and multiple air seals. By going double-pane the homeowners have been able to realize tremendous efficiency and cost effective durability while maintaining the clean architectural lines of the home design. The selection of our hidden sash option further cements the modern design by providing a seamless aesthetic on the exterior between fixed and operable windows.

Inspiration for a shabby-chic style terra-cotta tile dining room remodel in Los Angeles

This master bath remodel is a major lifestyle enhancement for a disabled client. The newly constructed shower was created with numerous Universal Design and Aging in Place features for all three people who use the shower, the client, her husband and the caregiver. Small slip-resistant tiles were selected for the floor and the bench gives the option to sit or stand, to help prevent back strain. The floating bench is also designed for the husband, for present and future use as he grows older. Non-institutional looking decorative grab bars and shampoo niches are strategically placed at sitting and standing heights for easy reach. A beautiful bay window ledge holds shower supplies and decorative accessories. The spacious roll-in shower allows the woman to enter on her scooter. Her caregiver can safely transfer her to the shower chair, remove the original scooter from the wet area, and then have the necessary room to maneuver all around the client for comfortable and safe bathing. A stationary shower head was included, as well as a handheld shower head on a slide bar with it’s own temperature control. The main shower head control is positioned at the front entrance to warm up the water before entering, preventing cold water shock. A heat / vent / light was also added to aid in air quality control. With the addition of new french doors we were able to increase the natural light in this master bedroom remodel. As well, recessed lights were strategically placed to create drama and warm up the once dark room. This is a design-build indoor garden room which provides space for seed starting, full sized plants and a hydroponic system. This space features an efficient mini-split unit for heating and cooling as well as an automated exhaust system with passive air intake for balanced ventilation. Powered by a small solar array and Tesla Powerwall. This project, and the home it’s attached to, is slated to be at or near net zero energy. This project is a great example of the benefit of hiring not only a general contractor, but an architect as well (and in our case a design-build firm that is qualified to fill both roles). The design of the space and the systems within the room, paired with quality and thoughtful execution of the plans are what we aim for with all of our projects.
