2013 NKBA MEDIUM BATH
When this young couple purchased their nearly 25-year-old colonial, the master bathroom was the first thing they wanted to change. Drab looking with worn out cabinets and a shower that was too small, it didn’t fit their modern vision for the space.
Working with Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes, they came up with a plan to enlarge the bathroom, stealing space from the master bedroom. The new design includes a much larger shower, the addition of a walk-in shower and more. And the results are nothing less than stunning.
A new, frameless glass shower stall is equipped with a steam unit, body sprays, rain shower head, and thermostatic valve and control. A double-sided fireplace overlooks a large whirlpool tub (also visible from the master bedroom).
Modern wall hanger espresso finish vanities are topped with a marble top and his and her tumbled marble vessel sinks. Two tall linen cabinets bookend the vanity for additional storage. A recessed mirror with back lighting effect was also installed.
Large 20” × 20” white marble floor and walls with dark metallic tile were placed on featured walls for added effects. The floors in both the bathroom and closet are heated.
An enlarged doorway from bathroom to walk-in closet offers double French glass doors which are pocketed for better traffic flow. Built-in closet systems are his and hers with matching cherry espresso finish cabinetry covered by obscure glass doors and a touch pad lighting system. The middle island features shoe racks and tie and socks storage.
Clean, streamlined and functional, the homeowners love this award-winning space.

We often come across clients looking for small space ideas. Our first recommendation is always to go bright. The depth of our glaze color adds visual interest and a bold color choice helps make a space appear larger. Posh and polished (just like the homeowner) this stunning sapphire blue bathroom will have you in awe. The owner of this amazing lake house is our friend Rachel Shingleton of Pencil Shavings Studio. Her refined design-eye coupled with our bright and bold tile transformed this small bathroom into the perfect master bath. And could you believe it? This is a super simple project! Read on to learn more about this design and how to achieve the look yourself.
Another great way to open up a small bathroom is by using smaller tile! Our regular Hexagons are the great example of this - approximately 2"x2" their small size maximizes the rest of the room, and their classic shape is perfect for a bathroom floor.

Nooks and Crannies at the DeBernardo pool and back yard that offer a handsome wooden shade structure outside of the piano room; Stone Columns surrounded with Mexican La Paz pebbles, Japanese Maple and Fern that take advantage of the shady areas as well as the planter line up with a 3" precast concrete cap in the foreground and thicker 6" concrete cast in place planter caps heading toward the vineyards.

Traditional Light-Filled Arana Hills Kitchen.
This stunning and homely kitchen renovation was led by our designer Ebony. The project involved transforming the space with a beautiful light-filled traditional kitchen design.
Together with Buywood, we incorporated these stunning floating shelves into this Arana Hills project. Allowing the client to add her own personal touches; antiques that she had collected from markets over the years. Additional touches of mint green add a light and fresh element to the space.
This space was transformed with a stunning, light-filled kitchen renovation. The traditional design and neutral colour scheme act as the perfect canvas for the client to express themselves with open shelves.
