We add lots of butterfly and pollinator plants to the properties we design. Amazingly, the butterflies show up immediately, even before we get the plants in the ground. In the foreground are Pentas - magnets for butterflies and hummingbird, a rich source of nectar. They come in many colors, including pink, lipstick, lavender, rose and white. Use Pentas add color to your patios, decks and garden borders. They attract more than a dozen members of the lepidoptera family, including several varieties of swallowtails, the orange-barred sulphur, monarch and the Gulf fritillary, Florida's state butterfly.
