About this Project: This stunning 1200 square foot addition to the existing home includes an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, full bathroom, glass block web bar, 2nd floor loft , two car garage, deck, and backyard patio. The glass block windows and ceiling feature rope lighting for a dramatic effect. The design was completed by Indovina & Associates, Architects. The goal was to match the architecture of the home and allow for a seamless flow of the addition into the existing home. The finished result is an exceptional space for indoor & outdoor entertaining. Customer Testimonial "My wife and I had a book collection that had outgrown the inexpensive bookcases that had followed us from our small downtown apartment to our new home in Over-The-Rhine. After researching different possibilities on the internet, we contacted Greg to discuss having built-in bookcases installed in our library/office, which is a fairly narrow space where we had little room to spare. Greg was very friendly and professional in the initial meeting, and provided helpful suggestions for the project while being completely amenable to our initial vision. Once we agreed upon the design, Greg gave a very reasonable price, and provided us with a very workable timeline as to when he could complete the project in his shop and have them installed. On the day of the installation, Greg's team was able to quickly transfer the four bookcases up a staircase with some fairly tight turns. Amazingly, there was no damage to the walls, stairs, or bookcases in the process (a complication that I was fully anticipating based on the layout of our home). Hill Creek is a sophisticated Southern Estate property located on a quiet cove of Lake Tyler. We were commissioned to develop design solutions that would maximize usable space while considering challenging topography. Early in the project, we worked closely with the builder to set the finished floor elevation of the house and remedy drainage problems throughout the construction process. The primary concern for the client early on was how to deal with the transitional zones above and below the house. We had a 40’ grade differential from the front of the house to the lake and we needed to minimize the impact step transitions and retaining walls would have on the aesthetic. The final product was the successful result of an intense collaborative process that often felt more like a game of tug-o-war. Once the front Parking Court retaining walls were laid out and built, We could move on to designing the back pool terrace and tackle the second grade transition from the lakeside Pool deck to the water. There are so many small details that can get overlooked or lost on a project of this scope. The overall charm and beauty achieved here is testimony to the value of positive and often relentless collaboration between Owner, Landscape Architect, Builder and Architect. Project Vitals Hill Creek was developed through a Design/Build project delivery model with Landvisions providing Landscape Architecture services, Construction Services, Project Management and Construction Administrative services for the now successful completion of this project.
