I turned the second bedroom of a rented duplex house into a home office for my KU-alum girlfriend as a surprise. The one thing she wanted was a desk that looked out the window.
I bought a basketball rack from someone on CraigsList, then printed placards for each end. The weight of the books was too much for the aluminum rack, necessitating the wood supports.
I printed the Big 12 Conference logo on sticker paper and carefully trimmed it, affixing it to a black folding chair we already had to evoke the courtside chairs at the annual post-season tournament.
The wood crate was just a few dollars at Home Depot. I used an iron-on transfer to 'paint' the logos, knowing they would be imperfect and feel aged.

This lakefront second home in the Irish Hills offered expansive lake views, yet the yard provided little usable space beyond the existing deck. The slope toward the water restricted gathering areas and made site access during construction especially complex.
The goal was to extend the living environment beyond the deck. To create a series of spaces that felt connected to the water, social with corn hole tournaments and a cozy place to unwind in the evening after docking the boat, cast in warm, soft lighting.

These Wallpaper,Wall coverings, and Mural Installations were completed in several communities....THE RIDGES IN SUMMERLIN, ARROWHEAD AT THE RIDGES, AZURE AT THE RIDGES, BOULDER RIDGE AT THE RIDGES, FAIRWAY POINTE AT THE RIDGES, FALCON RIDGE AT THE RIDGES, INDIGO AT THE RIDGES, PROMONTORY AT THE RIDGES, REDHAWK AT THE RIDGES, RIMROCK AT THE RIDGES, SILVER RIDGE AT THE RIDGES, STERLING RIDGE AT THE RIDGES, THE POINTE AT THE RIDGES, TOPAZ RIDGE AT THE RIDGES, ANTHEM COUNTRY CLUB, BELLACERE, CANYON FAIRWAYS, CANYON GATE COUNTRY CLUB, EAGLE HILLS, HENDERSON, LAKE LAS VEGAS

The basement of this suburban home was transformed into an entertainment destination! Welcome to Philville! Something for everyone. Relax on the comfy sectional and watch a game on the projection screen, shoot a game of pool, have a ping pong tournament, play cards, whip up a cocktail, select a good bottle of wine from the wine cellar tucked under the staircase, shuffle over to the shuffle board table under the Fenway Park mural, go to the fully equipped home gym or escape to the spa bathroom. The walk out basement also opens up to the private spacious manicured backyard.

As a huge supporter of our veteran’s, JFF Design Architects is thrilled to have the opportunity serve one of our local American Legion facilities. Ironically, I worked on this very building at the beginning of my career, some 35 years ago.
We drew inspiration and reference from Maya Lin's 1982 amazing design for the National Vietnam War Memorial. JFF Design Architects & Planners put together a conceptual redesign for the American Legion Post #156, which pays homage to its members, many of whom are from this generation of veterans and their guests. This 2,200 SF ground floor space was in dire need of renovation from the original late 1970’s motif including the bar, lounge and game room adorned with dark brown paneling. As the design unfolded, we dissolved these three separate programs into one large room that can be divided as the use changes. The bar was relocated to the west end offering a better view and servicing to the centralized lounge. The game room remains in the original location but can be combined with the lounge space with the use a retractable wall for larger functions. In the closed position, it offers the space for gaming tournaments such as darts and pool.
References to the Vietnam Memorial can be found within the design of the bar and a 125 degree angle accent tile design in the flooring. Construction has already begun and Post #156 is looking forward to the reopening for members and guests.
