When it came to designing my own kitchen it was a real challenge. It's hard to be objective about your own space. And I wanted a little bit of everything! I settled on colors that were calm and soothing, creamy off white cabinetry, typhoon green granite counters, glass tile backsplash and emtek crystal hardware. The Subzero and Bosch Dishwasher received custom panels. This kitchen is in Full Overlay styling with a simple flat panel door. The decorative elements in the hood and island corbels and legs at the sink give it a little extra flair.

With 2,000 sq. ft. of open living space with panoramic water views, this elevated hurricane-resistant home (designed and engineered by Topsider) was built after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the original home. Traditional style kitchen with granite countertops and a full-height granite backsplash. The granite is Typhoon Bordeaux finished with an ogee edge. Crown molding maintains the traditional feel. Undermount sink and a cooktop stove are more modern features, and the white cabinets and drawers are also lit with LED lighting.

The Fields needed updating from laminate. They were going to stay in this house and wanted something with movement and complimentary to the cabinets. The Typhoon Bordeaux adds just enough POP to spice up the kitchen.

Typhoon Bordeaux Granite-Description of Typhoon Bordeaux Granite-This granite, because of it's multi colored blends falls in the classification of multi earthtone granites. This cream colored stone has lots of white, greys and golden veining with ribbons of burgundy throught the slab. The consistancy from slab to slab varies due to the degree of veining in each slab. A unique granite choice for any kitchen or bathroom project. Before and after examples of Typhoon Bordeaux on Dark Wood Cabinets. Backsplash 3 x 8 Almond Glass Tile. A good example of where an Island Bracket is needed.
