One of our favorite projects to work on is re-creating an unfinished area into a beautiful space. We were honored to work on an audio video project in Chatham, NJ for a client who was creating a basement game room. This room includes a 70” LED TV, with an in ceiling surround speakers, a NuVo background music system, a DirecTV, AppleTV, Xbox and Xbox360 systems. This room is multi-functional, allowing for users to entertain guests for a party, or sit back with the family to relax for a movie. Our industry is always changing, with new devices that can control virtually everything. All in one remote controls are an integral part of that. This is a video wall with sixteen 55'' Panasonic thin bezel TV's with the TV to the left as a drawing board to write, circle, highlight plays. With custom seating provided from HTEVO

A closeup view of the audio center channel compartment. The Thiel center channel speaker rests on Vibrapod absorbers to minimize interaction with the cabinet and there is extensive acoustic foam dampening to reduce boominess and improve clarity. The black area on the fold down door is acoustically transparent cloth. To the left is more A/V gear.

Basedment media room features a ceiling mounted video projector and a acoustically transparent projection screen which allows the front three speakers to be placed behind the screen. In-wall and in-ceiling speakers fill the room with sound. Lutron lighting allows the user to dim the lights to the perfect viewing level. The whole entertainment system is controlled via a universal remote control.

A closeup view of the audio/ video gear area with adjustable shelving and the rollout tray for the McIntosh preamp/ processor that allows easier access for gear changes or repairs. The down-firing subwoofer is below and mounted on an Auralex Subdude isolation platform to minimize interaction with the cabinet. Sub area also includes extensive acoustic foam for minimum cabinet reflection and better low frequency clarity. The black area on the sub door is acoustically transparent cloth. In front of the sub is an air intake for max airflow to the gear cooling fans below the rollout tray. Warm air from the gear is routed through the top of the cabinet via a hidden vent behind the upper shelves. Center right is the audio center channel compartment.
