The Johnny Cash Boyhood Home in Dyess, Arkansas, bought this antique dining table from us for the restored home of Johnny Cash. It's the same as the table originally in the house, as described by Joanne Cash Yates and Tommy Cash. The antique Mechelen oak table is in the Flemish Renaissance style, dating to 1890. It is heavily carved with details typical of antique Mechelen furniture, including carved lion heads at the four corners. The table stands on five massive carved legs. We found the table at an antiques market in Belgium and brought it back to the U.S. It is now in the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home.

The clients for this small bathroom project are passionate art enthusiasts and asked the architects to create a space based on the work of one of their favorite abstract painters, Piet Mondrian. Mondrian was a Dutch artist associated with the De Stijl movement which reduced designs down to basic rectilinear forms and primary colors within a grid. Alloy used floor to ceiling recycled glass tiles to re-interpret Mondrian's compositions, using blocks of color in a white grid of tile to delineate space and the functions within the small room. A red block of color is recessed and becomes a niche, a blue block is a shower seat, a yellow rectangle connects shower fixtures with the drain. The bathroom also has many aging-in-place design components which were a priority for the clients. There is a zero clearance entrance to the shower. We widened the doorway for greater accessibility and installed a pocket door to save space. ADA compliant grab bars were located to compliment the tile composition. Andrea Hubbell Photography

This driveway was constructed with a 10 inch RCA base and granite pavers were installed on one inch of fine sand. The paving stone sizes were 6”x 9”, with a flamed and tumbled texture finish. These granite pavers are 1-1/4” thick and can be used for pedestrian and vehicular trafficked areas. The joints in between the pavers were filled with polymeric sand, then compacted with a mechanical vibratory plate and sealed. This is our new, industrial style vanity base! The vanity base is constructed from solid steel and the doors have been treated with a chemical patina to give the piece a charming weathered, distressed appearance. It is handmade by us and can be customized in nearly any way imaginable. However, this listing is for one with overall dimensions of 61” W x 18.5” D x 31″ high. This piece is made without the marble top and we encourage our customers to source their own. This vanity base could also be built with a reclaimed wood top and sides if you prefer. We have built this one with four doors, but it could be made with more or less and with any patina or finish you see on any of our other pieces. We also often build these with drawers (inquire for details and pricing.). As shown, it is intended to have two vessel style sinks that would sit on top. For those using it in this configuration, your plumber would simply need to drill holes in the top.
