This project was to create a “virtual art gallery exhibit” featuring all six. Have any of you noticed that a lot of shops and galleries don’t seem to be open these days ;) - well I thought with the help of some online and my open digital assets I might be able to create at least a part of the experience. (Albeit without the wine and cheese snacks) So here is my virtual exhibit. I painted all the originals on 12 x 12 canvas. The “exhibit” would be what 24 x 24 inch framed prints would appear like together. The quality of the images used to produce the prints is high enough to go up to 36 x 36 with good confidence. Framed those are substantial pieces of artwork in either residential or office settings. In the future I’ll try going bigger and share the quality with you. Also what is showing in this virtual setting would be traditional framing and matting over giclee, acrylic sealed or metal prints. The frames for canvas wrap prints would look much better using the floating frame format - especially if you choose the option for having the artwork image “wrap” over the sides. For a couple of young web developers buying their first home in Redwood Shores, we were hired to do a complete interior remodel of a cookie cutter house originally built in 1996. The original finishes looked more like the 80s than the 90s, consisting of raised-panel oak cabinets, 12 x 12 yellow-beige floor tiles, tile counters and brown-beige wall to wall carpeting. The kitchen and bathrooms were utterly basic and the doors, fireplace and TV niche were also very dated. We selected all new finishes in tones of gray and silver per our clients’ tastes and created new layouts for the kitchen and bathrooms. We also designed a custom accent wall for their TV (very important for gamers) and track-mounted sliding 3-Form resin doors to separate their living room from their office. To animate the two story living space we customized a Mizu pendant light by Terzani and in the kitchen we selected an accent wall of seamless Caesarstone, Fuscia lights designed by Achille Castiglioni (one of our favorite modernist pendants) and designed a two-level island and a drop-down ceiling accent “cloud: to coordinate with the color of the accent wall. The master bath features a minimalist bathtub and floating vanity, an internally lit Electric Mirror and Porcelanosa tile.

This project features a stamped concrete patio with brown tones, an expansive outdoor grilling area and bar, Infratech Infrared heaters and a wood burning fireplace with wood boxes on both sides. This outdoor room has ample room for relaxing and taking a break from the hot summer sun and is the perfect location for summer time memories. The outdoor kitchen includes a Napoleon built in grill, Fire Magic Cabinetry, a blaze beverage cooler and a blaze refrigerator.
