This tiny 8'x9' sunporch has just enough space to nap on the green velvet sofa, read in the 1927 wicker recliner (press the button on the sun-struck arm and the back reclines) or write letters at the knee hole desk (out of view next to the recliner) . The chalk painted electric fire place keeps the owners and the plants warm in the wintertime, while nearly 100 year old wooden floors hold memories of easy afternoons. That's a lot of life packed in to this jewel box.

A mix of pine, spruce, fir and balsam with colorful berries and bark can be a hopeful reminder that spring will soon come and all will be warm and green again. Bunched evergreen boughs below can be used as well to complete the scene, adding color to an otherwise empty seasonal annual bed.

Red accents with a gathering of different pine, spruce, fir and balsam take center stage and perform their never-ending carol.

A full kitchen renovation gave way to a much larger space and much wider possibilities for dining and entertaining. The use of multi-level countertops, as opposed to a more traditional center island, allow for a better use of space to seat a larger crowd. The mix of Baltic Blue, Red Dragon, and Jatoba Wood countertops contrast with the light colors used in the custom cabinetry. The clients insisted that they didn’t use a tub often, so we removed it entirely and made way for a more spacious shower in the master bathroom. In addition to the large shower centerpiece, we added in heated floors, river stone pebbles on the shower floor, and plenty of storage, mirrors, lighting, and speakers for music. The idea was to transform their morning bathroom routine into something special. The mudroom serves as an additional storage facility and acts as a gateway between the inside and outside of the home.
Our client’s family room never felt like a family room to begin with. Instead, it felt cluttered and left the home with no natural flow from one room to the next. We transformed the space into two separate spaces; a family lounge on the main level sitting adjacent to the kitchen, and a kids lounge upstairs for them to play and relax. This transformation not only creates a room for everyone, it completely opens up the home and makes it easier to move around from one room to the next. We used natural materials such as wood fire and stone to compliment the new look and feel of the family room.
Our clients were looking for a larger area to entertain family and guests that didn’t revolve around being in the family room or kitchen the entire evening. Our outdoor enclosed deck and fireplace design provides ample space for when they want to entertain guests in style. The beautiful fireplace centerpiece outside is the perfect summertime (and wintertime) amenity, perfect for both the adults and the kids.

Lucite sconces flank the front window of the space. We wanted to gain general lighting but wanted a simple fixture which would not compete with the dramatic chandelier. The blue wool draperies with embroidered detail add an extra layer of texture.

A simple monochromatic scheme of white lights and white architecture all wrapped in white snow present a unified wintery display. A garden chair, waiting anxiously for spring, even manages to cast off it’s seasonal shivers in the warm glow.

The client recently moved into their home and had just a few furniture pieces for their existing finished basement. There was a nice bar but the client wanted a fireplace and different flooring and an area for their two young boys to play along with an office that would serve as a guest room as well. We were able to fish a gas line to the outside wall of the house and added a nice gas fireplace with a blower to give the room additional heat in the wintertime. We framed in the space for the fireplace, installed the vented fireplace then installed linear slate tile on the face of the fireplace and added a limestone mantel, brackets and hearth. We then flanked the fireplace with matching bookcases and cabinets to match the existing bar and mounted a TV above the fireplace. We removed the builder grade carpet and installed pre-finished hardwood flooring throughout. Area rugs were used to separate the play area from the TV-watching area and kid-friendly furniture was used in the play area. Sport memorabilia was hung throughout the area to give a relaxed feel.

This elegant roofing project installed in Bellevue, Washington started its life with a cedar shake shingle roof, a common roof in the Pacific Northwest especially if it’s a house like this in the woods. The roof looks good until it leaks and this one had leaks. The leaks created wood damage. During the tear-off, Three Tree Roofing had carpenters come in to help the roofing crew with wood repairs and some needed paint repairs. After the repairs were complete, the roofing crew installed plywood over the entire rooftop and built the roof with underlayment and perimeter metals.
We replaced all the skylights as well with brand-new energy-efficient argon gas-filled double pane skylights. Most importantly, in the wintertime, argon gas-injected glass panes help keep the heat in, and in the summertime, they help keep the heat out.
