Created for the hip city dweller, we designed a funky pad to reflect their style. Bold prints and bright, colorful accents complement the sophisticated shapes of the furnishings used throughout. The office was designed with a daybed so the space gets double use as both an office, and a respite for out of town guests.

Coming from Minnesota this couple already had an appreciation for a woodland retreat. Wanting to lay some roots in Sun Valley, Idaho, guided the incorporation of historic hewn, stone and stucco into this cozy home among a stand of aspens with its eye on the skiing and hiking of the surrounding mountains. That screened porch was in much need of an update. We painted the entire room, replaced light fixtures and updated furniture. A lot of the fixtures are salvaged. The pool cushions are now stored on old barn doors converted into shelves.

This charming kids guest room was design with fun and whimsy in mind. The client wanted to transform a spare bedroom into a guest room for kids. We achieved some fun and flare with a new coat of paint and Eskayel wallpaper to give the space character and movement. We furnished the room with a daybed that includes a trundle to accommodate two children. We added boho elements like a bright vintage Moroccan rug and mixed textures with pillows and blankets that have graphic patterns. The cave chair serves as a reading nook for bedtime stories and the mirrors on the walls add a bit of Middle Eastern flare. Photos by Amber Thrane.

Giana Allen Design created a Master Bedroom on a 40 acre ranch in Southern Florida that was as dramatic as the land that surrounded the space. The high ceilings and beams create a feeling of both drama and rustic. The master bedroom relates to the rest of the home where the elements its modern clean lines are mixed with rustic materials. Drama of the four poster bed creates a feeling of intimacy with the high ceilings in such a large space. The chaise and chair were custom designed in to be oversized to create a warmth.
