Inspiration for a transitional living room remodel in Las Vegas

This lovely great room highlights the transitional style: with skirted & nailhead traditional sofas, combined with clean lined cocktail table.

The living room layout allows a couch lounger to chat with someone in the kitchen. We covered the sofa in a casual Pierre Frey fabric and added a few soft faux fur pillows for touchable texture. A graphic David Adler moroccan rug contrasts with red and turquoise Roman shades (one of our favorite color combinations ever). Crisp white side tables, breezy lamps and a modern-meets-rustic wood and acrylic coffee table were picked for ultra-cool “chic cabin” flair. Photographer: Carrie Patterson

This is the dining room, I wanted this room to make a statement. The paneling design on the wall was already white, so I decided to paint the walls needlepoint navy. I dressed the window with a white custom drapery and bronze drapery rod. I used a live edge table with white dining chairs. The rug was my inspirational piece for this room, it just brought everything together. The one piece that the customer had to have was cotton, so I accessorized the table with a vase with cotton and brought in a blue table runner and some white dishes.

Elegant family room photo in Houston with beige walls

Almost every room in the house offers stunning views of the outdoor living space and golf course. The dining room is subtly elegant creating an intimate dining space but also a space to enjoy looking outdoors. The custom chairs have a curved back design to contrast with the linear dining table. The host and hostess chairs add texture and Texas chic with their velvet alligator skin fabric. This vanity area is custom designed for this alcove. The flat panel overlay white cabinetry features contemporary faux shagreen tassel pulls that match the drawer hardware on the bedside chests and dresser in the bedroom area adjacent. A large mirrored back-splash in the center bay is not only a functional detail, but helps to brighten up the area with a reflective surface. A splash of blue is on the large patterned area rug and vanity stool.

This kitchen was inspired by a french countryside cottage. We used traditional design elements, warm worn finishes, along with french industrial lighting fixtures to bring a magical element to this space.
