I have hired 1 Sound Choice on several occasions over the past 10 years for several projects (from minor implementations to a whole house system). Ryan and the team at 1 Sound Choice are consummate professionals - extremely knowledgeable and up to date with technology, focused on delivering the best solution to fit your need, and highly customer service oriented. This combination plus the quality of finished product (every time) have made me a loyal customer... I highly recommend 1 Sound Choice.

I wanted to build a home theater in my basement and had accumulated quite a collection of high end electronics. But when I discussed my plans with Ryan, the proprietor of One Sound Choice, he quickly convinced me that the quality of the home theater experience starts with the proper room and acoustics. Not only was his audio/visual technical knowledge top-notch, I was impressed with his background in construction and his attention to room acoustics and ensuring the room didn't just look pretty but also that the dimensions produced the right dynamics. Because I was also limited on the budget I could dedicate to creating this room, I was appreciative that he was responsive to adjusting plans as we moved forward to keep us on budget. Every detail was well thought out in advance, from the placement of outlets to avoid sound leakage, to lighting along the steps of the stadium seating, to one-touch programming of the remotes, to expansion conduits for future expansion of equipment. With hi-tech equipment, it seems upgrades are inevitable and it's nice to know that the room can also adapt to future upgrades. Overall, I was very satisfied with my home theater. What I thought would be a room just for me to watch movies occasionally has now become the regular gathering spot for the whole family.

Truly One Sound Choice, you won't find better. I called a couple of AV companies for quotes but on speaking with Ryan I had confidence that One Sound Choice would do the job right. Most companises had assured me that they would not have to cut holes in my walls to achieve my project goals. Ryan was up front, honest and realistic outlining all the possible challenges my install might face whilst reassuring me that One Sound Choice had the capabilitiy and expertise to meet my goals. Consulation was painless and Ryan and Kenny captured my requirements perfectly and offered advice based on their experience regarding optional additons to the project, which were practical and delivered exceptional enhancements. Ryan provided me with a view of what could be achieved given my requirements and then worked with me complete the project with consideration to my budget, but without compromising the final solution. Even completed the project without requiring any patch work which was a bonus. Ryan and Kenny were a pleasure to work with, respectful and courteous and I had confidence having them in our home. We hired Ryan and Ken to build a theatre room for us back in 2008. They did an excellent job and have been terrific all of these past 5 years in providing us with service, updates and recommendations along the way as we've needed them. Had a Control 4 home automated system installed after we had a house fire. Every room in my house has been setup with phone/internet/cable. Created a central area that houses all my equipment. The only equipment in my home theatre and living rooms are the TV's. This is great for little kids. No worries about them playing with your components. 1 Sound Choice installed all the equipment and provided me with a seamless entertainment experience. Very professional with a special attention to detail I have not seen in their industry. Customization is their specialty and they are willing to work with you to acheive your dreams. They have solutions for any budget or lifestyle. A true pleasure to work with. We hired Ryan from One Sound Choice to install a movie theater in home we were building. His expertise was invaluable. In addition to being an informed person about every aspect of the theater, walls, insulation, lighting, seating, installation of the walls, screen and all of the equipment in the back room, he became a trusted contractor and we have complete faith in his work. One Sound Choice was our second try at finding a contractor to repair our flood-damaged home after Irene blew through in August of 2011. Our Cape Cod house has a slab foundation and the entire first floor - living room, kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom - got 5 feet of water. Ryan, the owner, was highly professional from start to finish. He worked closely with us to produce a contract that was within our insurance budget, and he came in on time and on budget. In some cases, he went over and above the call of duty; for example, surprising me with some crown molding in the bathroom and dining room that I had really wanted but just didn't have the money for. We actually had enough left to hire him to do our home theater and bedroom media center! We were so pleased to have discovered the truly good people at One Sound Choice, and hope to work with them again when we are ready to remodel our upstairs rooms.

I hired Ryan and his crew at One Sound Choice to a variety of audio and video projects around our home. We already had in-ceiling speakers running through the first floor connected by a Russound system. I was searching for an experienced Audio/Video person that could make things run smoother, add speakers to our porch and rear deck, and give us surround sound in our family room (theater). I had already done some research on Control 4 (a home automation system). I had several people come by and give me estimates and recommendation on what I wanted to accomplish. I took my time as I knew this would be a significant financial investment for us. I fortunately got a flyer in the mail from One Sound Choice and went online to their website. Looked as some reviews on Angie's List and decided to give Ryan a call. Ryan scheduled an appointment with me and came out to the house a few days later. He looked through the house and listened to my needs. When it came time to the estimate, Ryan asked if I wanted to purchase the components (TV, receiver, dvd, etc) or wanted him to purchase them. He wasn't pushy at all. This completely sold me on him...I knew he would give me space to make changes and not pressure me (very important for me!) After I got the estimate, I had a lot of questions. Ryan set a time for me to speak with him and answered all my questions. He worked with me on the estimate and gave me many different options. We made several changes and every time he sent me a new estimate by email right away. We decided to go with him. Ryan said it would take about 2 days to get the work done. We scheduled on a Wednesday and he was done the same day (stayed till 8pm to get the work done!). My wife was at home. She said Ryan and his crew showed up on time and went right to work. They kept things clean and respected our needs. We have two indoor cats and I asked Ryan to be cautious when open door. My wife told me that Ryan walked in an first thing he told his crew to be careful b/c of the cats. They guys went to work....this was the general scope of their work for us: 1. 1st floor - Replace russound system for Control 4, connected all components to Control 4 amplifier, ran wires where needed, and programmed our living room TV, cable, dvd and apple TV to work through control 4 2. Porch and rear deck - installed a total of 6 speakers and ran wire under porch and deck from basement. 3. Theater - Installed surround sound in-wall speakers and ran wire, hooked up all components and receiver, mount TV on entertainment center 4. Programming - did all Control 4 programming so that our iphones and ipads can control all of our speakers, TV, DVD, apple TV...if you haven't seen Control 4, check it out...it's pretty amazing stuff...Ryan did all this and spend a great amount of time programming this stuff. 5. Remotes - Programmed Control 4 remotes which are very cool 6. Lighting - Ryan came back for this at a later date because our Theater lighting wasn't installed. He connected Control 4 and installed control 4 switches/dimmers to the lights so we could control everything through our remotes and ipad/iphone apps 7. I needed a TV in the Kitchen mounted (I purchased the mount) and asked Ryan to install this....he said he would do it for no charge (this was really nice) After they were done, the entire place was clean. Ryan sat down with my wife and me and explained how everything worked. He told me to play with the new system, speakers, etc and take notes on things that I wanted to customize and possibly change. When I was ready he would make any changes needed. Overall, a great experience that day. Please read below. After Ryan and his crew completed their work, things worked great. I ended up encountering a problem with the receiver about 1 week after the install. I emailed Ryan and he got back to me right away. It was an internet address issue with one of the routers and he fixed it the next day. Ryan and his crew came back a few weeks later to install Control 4 switches/dimmers to the lighting and add a Sonos system (I wanted more flexibility with our music and Control4). He spent over 4 hours working on the install, updating the programming, and answering all my questions (from the list I made....it was quite a few things). Over the next few days, I noticed that I wanted a few more things customized and emailed Ryan. He answered me right away and added my requests the next day. Now, I have a system that I love using. Ryan does everything from mounting TVs to installing full home automation and building theaters. He will not be the least expensive estimate you'll come across, but he will work with you until you're comfortable with the price and still get what you need. These systems are not cheap and therefore support is extremely important....you have to go with someone who responds to your issues. Ryan does just this! I'm not an easy client, I like to change things and make customizations. Ryan has always made me feel comfortable in asking him questions. He has resolved all of the issues/requests that I have thrown at him. If you go with Ryan and One Sound Choice, you will get absolute quality. He clearly takes pride in his work. Over time, I plan to add more to my Control 4 system and Ryan will be my choice to work with. He and his crew are absolutely FIRST CLASS!

Very fortunate I met Ryan. I had been looking to do a home theater install for a while but after bad experiences with just design guys who told me to find my own contractor to do the work I had started to give up on the idea. I wanted someone who knew all the design elements but was also familiar with construction using the specialist materials I wanted to incorporate. From start to finish it's been great. He listened to my ideas, suggested some of his own, we came up with a design, we worked on budgeting, always trying hard to stay close to my number. Once construction started I had the pleasure of dealing with Kenny, one of the most considerate guys you could hope to work with. Start to finish took just over 2 weeks...they kept surrounding areas very clean, always closed doors behind them, and able to work around my schedule if anything else was going on in the house. As for the finished product, its exactly how I wanted it to turn out. I've got a full 7.4 speaker setup, 125" 2.35 screen, acoustic paneling, custom lighting, all running on Control 4. Kenny has already been back touch up some paint work. Ryan will be back again after speakers are full broken in and to tweak the picture after the projector settles in. I will have a few other AV projects over the next couple of years..not going to look anywhere else than these guys. Top professionals.

I hired 1 Sound Choice to do a surround sound system in my living room and multi-room audio in 5 other rooms in my house,I asked Ryan to make it simple for my wife and I to use and we didnt want to see any wires or equiptment.Ryan ( the owner of 1 Sound Choice) presented me with a awesome solution for what I asked for at a price point that was right in range of my budget.The project was done faster then estimated and the workmanship of Ryan and his crew was above and beyond what I expected, They worked clean and were very personable, I would HIGHLY reccomend everyone to use 1 Sound Choice for all A/V installations. I will definately be using them again!

1 Sound Choice installed an entertainment system for our backyard. The system includes an outdoor tv (purchase by us) , a receiver, a blu ray player, an Ipod dock, numerous speakers, and a Control 4 controller that controls the entire system from outside via Control 4 remotes. They mounted the tv bracket onto the rear of the house and ran the wiring into the home. The system itself was set up in the basement . They also ran several hundred feet of speaker wire from the basement outside to the back of the residence and also around the entire pool. Once the system was set up, they programmed the system so that we could use the entire system from the outdoors without coming into the home. Once again, thank you Angie's List! Whenever possible, we try to use the list to help us decide on which contractor to use. It is clearly apparent that as a result of their ratings,One Sound Choice was going to get the first phone call to design and set up our system. I first started out sending an e-mail asking One Sound Choice if they set up outdoor systems that included outdoor tvs. A reply to my email advised me that they do this kind of installation. After receiving the email, I called and left a message that I was interested in getting an estimate on the job. Even though it was after hours, I received a call back from Kennny and we set up a date for Kenny to come over and give me ideas about possible system setups. On the appointment day, Kenny and One Sound Choice passed the first test. They were on time! Kenny took the time and listened to exactly I was looking for in the system. I advised him that I did not know much about the subject and that I was open to his suggestions. Kenny quickly came up with a plan on where to situate the system and explained on how the system would work. He advised me that he and Ryan (owner) would design a couple of systems that would accomplish what I was looking for. A few days later, Ryan sent me an estimate on one of his proposed designs. The first estimate was the "mega" design which had the similar cost estimate. In defense of Ryan, the sky is the limit on sound systems. You simply have to have a contractor that is willing to put in the time and effort, to draw up several designs and hopefully find one that fits your budget.. One Sound Choice did just that!! Ryan came up with a system that was within our budget and he assured us that it would sound and look great. (It probably would have been easier for Ryan to design a system if I had given him an idea about my budget first.) Once we agreed on a system and the price, we set up a date for the install. ( I even added a blu ray player to the estimate and Ryan quickly resubmitted an adjusted estimate) Once again, One Sound Choice showed up on time for the installation. Kenny and Andre got to work immediately and within hours, the system was in place. Their work is simply seamless! If I ran a company, I would want 10 guys like them! Later in the day, Ryan came to the house to check out the installation progress and to program the entire system. Ryan is a true gentleman and a consummate professional. He is easy to work with and it is easy to see why his company gets the reviews that it receives! Later in the day, after the installation, I experienced a problem with the system. It seems that the system froze and it would not allow me to listen to music from the internet. I e-mailed Kenny who immediately contacted Ryan (once again it was after hours.)Within minutes, Ryan called me and gave me a temporary fix to the problem. The issue was a "firmware" problem. Ryan contacted the receivers manufacturer and received the proper firmware update. We then made another date for Ryan and Kenny to come back to the house and update the firmware. I also asked them to add another set of speakers to the system although it was not necessary for the system. The system sounded GREAT to start with but I wanted a little more coverage. My last minute request was no problem for One Sound Choice! Two days later, they came and installed the additional speakers and updated the firmware. This apparently fixed the internet issue since I have not had any problems since the update. This is why you go with contractors like One Sound Choice. You hire a company that has EARNED their great reputation. They KEEP their great reputation by addressing any and every issue that arises. I am confident that they will stand by their work and help me when I have questions or issues in the future (since I am an acoustic novice) Overall, was I happy with One Sound Choice? Ecstatic! They are awesome! Ryan runs a company the way a company should be run. Hire great professionals who do great work. Provide a great product. Stand behind your work and be there, now and in the future for your client. What more can I ask for? These guys know their stuff! They may not be the cheapest (self admittedly), but they are the best! They get an 11 out of 10 from me. Will I use them again? Every chance I get !!!
