About Us

Abernathy Finish Masters is a premier cabinetry and custom finishes company based in Florida dedicated to transforming spaces with exceptional craftsmanship and innovative design. Specializing in custom cabinetry, refinishing, refacing and premium new finishes, we pride ourselves on delivering tailored solutions that combine functionality and beauty. With a focus on quality, attention to detail, and personalized service, we create timeless designs that exceed expectations. Whether you're remodeling your kitchen, updating your home bar, or enhancing your interiors, Abernathy Finish Masters is your trusted partner for creating spaces you’ll love. We specialize in repairing/ refinishing your existing cabinetry, whatever it may be. We provide cabinet refacing if your cabinets are damaged from wear and tear, water or any other element. This saves you from having to completely replace your cabinets if they get damaged or just need a face lift; which can be much more costly, time consuming, and worse for the environment. What we, as master finishers and artists, find is that our refinished cabinets tend to be much more unique and tasteful than anything you could purchase new. We feel very confident you'll feel the same way after just viewing some of the samples from our showroom. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our customers each and every day, our customer satisfaction is un-matched. We guarantee to protect your home and valuables by completely masking, papering, using drop cloths, using 'plastic walls', a air evacuation system and everything else it takes to ensure that once our job is done, there will be nothing remaining but our beautiful finished work. We know it can be stressful having work done in your home; we promise to ease this stress by making you feel at ease and comfortable before, during, and after the entire process of your project. Abernathy Finish Master has been in business since 1994, with 50 years combined experience. We are licensed, bonded, and insured, and have endless references we'd be happy to provide you with. You will feel confident choosing Abernathy Finish Master for all your refinishing needs. Our showroom is available by appointment only. Please email us at sales@abernathyfinishmaster.com for estimates.

This company does things right! I asked for cedar planks to be installed on the ceiling of my lanai and entry. Jessica was concerned as to the color and spent a significant amount of time choosing the right stain and making sure it covered the cedar color well. The color and installation is flawless. I can't wait to have them replace my "builder's special" kitchen cabinets! It is so nice to find a company that is dedicated to quality.

I couldn’t be happier with my custom white oak cabinetry we had designed and built from Abernathy Finish Master. We needed custom built in cabinets for our fireplace wall. They designed, built and installed beautiful pieces that are more like high end furniture than built in cabinets! The team was professional, attentive and incredibly skilled. Stunning craftsmanship! I cannot believe how beautiful the finish is! The installation was also seamless, punctual, precise, and they left my home spotless. If you’re looking for true craftsmanship, exceptional quality and service Abernathy Finish Masters the way to go! Highly recommend!

We had our kitchen and 2 bathroom cabinets painted and new doors put on. Ric and his crews did a fabulous job--they look so wonderful! Everyone who came to the house was courteous, showed up exactly at the specified time and did the extensive project in the minimum time possible. I just can't say enough good things about them.

Thank you for taking the time to review Abernathy Finish Master on Houzz. We at Abernathy strive to show each one of our clients their entire job from the design process to completion is as important to us as it is to you! BTW Elizabeth, your kitchen does look fabulous if we say so our-self.

My husband and I Contacted Ric Farinella at Abernathy Finish Master when we decided to update our kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them which would be a much larger expense. I also asked Ric at Abernathy if they could paint my expensive dark Tommy Bahama desk to give it a newer updated look and it turned out great! Our entire experience was terrific and professional. We are very happy with our "new" kitchen. We've fallen in love with our home again. We are grateful we had a great experience from start to finish. Chrissy & Bob Lamson

Rick and team did an outstanding job from start to finish in our kitchen. Their quote was reasonable, they responded to all my questions (of which I had many) with professionalism, and their work and finished product was second to none. We had our kitchen cabinets refurbished and changed them from a dark cherrywood color to white. The transformation was unbelievable. They took our existing cabinets and made them look brand new! Friends and family can't believe the change and thought they were brand new cabinets!

Abernathy refinished by maple kitchen cabinets a couple of weeks ago and I cannot be more excited about the white magic they achieved! Rick and his team are all incredibly professional and if you hadn't seen my kitchen you would think it had just be re-installed. Looks great with my soapstone counters and the bead board doors on the island add a nice touch. Am next getting ready to do my master bath cabinets! I cannot recommend (oh, and have!) more highly.

Our kitchen cabinets were in great condition, but looked 'dated.' After consulting with Ric of Abernathy Finish Master, we were convinced they would do a great job in refinishing our cabinets. The installers, finishers, and everyone associated with this company were quite professional, courteous, and most of all, knowledgeable. Our finished cabinets surpassed our expectation! If you want the job done right, hire Abernathy Finish Master! You won't regret it. Susan and Bob Foley

Interiors By Design

As an interiors designer for the past 24 years, I have worked with many craftsman and refinishers. None have compared to the quality in both product and service provided by Abernathy Finishmasters. I would highly recommend this company for both custom woodworking and custom refinishing. They have exceeded all expectations of my clients in the work they have performed for my company and will continue to use Abernathy Finish Masters.

5+ stars for Abernathy Finish Master! Sad to no longer be able to use a favorite old hutch that was included in our condo purchase, I contacted Abernathy Finish Master to see if they could duplicate it. Wow! Their meticulous reproduction, which included distressed materials and painting, with more than one underlying color, is amazing. The new piece, of course, has the benefits of tighter construction, a beautiful interior, and special features, such as soft-closing drawers. I am still amazed! Moreover, they are a wonderful company with which to work. Vern Hamlin met with us in Florida a few times at the beginning of the project and worked with us throughout the construction, even as we had returned to Ohio. The new hutch was completed and delivered on time a couple of weeks ago.

A very professional company. Each employee knew what they were doing and were very pleasant. Very particular in covering every thing NOT to be painted, fan to take odor out of house, clean-up and replacement of doors done with professionalism. Would highly recommend this company. They worked well and patient in design process.
