Taraneh was great, very helpful and efficient in dealing with our renovation and the Plateau approvals process (which is challenging at the best of times). Appreciated her recommendations and design ideas for our project, ended up taking us in a different direction and the end result was a much more open and practical space.

This was our first renovation project, and we couldn't be happier with the experience of working with Tara and her team. From planning and design to execution, Tara guided us every step of the way. As newcomers to the renovation process, we were grateful for her assistance in navigating vendor options and selections. Tara not only provided excellent suggestions but also took the time to listen to our preferences, seamlessly incorporating them into the design, color schemes, and choices we made. Whenever we had doubts or disagreements about certain suggestions, Tara helped us make informed decisions that we have never regretted. We highly recommend her and her team for any renovation needs.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Yahel on the renovation of my loft over a six month period. She was a pleasure to work with! from ideation, to sourcing all the materials, and her ability to solve any issues that arose during the project with cost effective solutions were truly amazing. I’ve known Tara for a little over 7 years now. As an architectural rep I got to know her when she was working for an architectural firm where she honed her skills for many years under some notable architects & now has grown to have her own firm. I must say she has a very pragmatic approach to design which result in beautiful and most unique projects. The layout of the spaces, lighting (whether natural or artificial) & harmony of the materials are a testament to the dedication & love for architecture. In addition, despite of being a mother of 2 she goes beyond & above for her clients & their projects.

Very professional! Super responsive to feedback. We worked on a major addition with accordéon, and they were definitely up to the task. Also; as our contractor was working on the project they visited and provided very useful suggestions. I would not hesitate to recommend them!

We worked with Yahel when working on our plans for our home renovation project. She was very organized and efficient. She has great communication skills and was able to explain everything and answer all of our questions. She gave us several different options given our space and we really valued all her hard work. We would definitely highly recommend her!

We have been looking for an architect who would bring some innovation and unigueness to our house in West Island. We wished for a different look that most of the houses in the area have and together with Taraneh we were able to achieve a remarkable result we are tremendously satisfied with. Taraneh understood our wishes and succeeded to design modern, interesting and unique façade while still keeping the original structure of our contemporary house. Taraneh was always responsive, communicative and very pleasant to work with. We would highly recommend Taraneh and her firm.

Taraneh and her team were incredible and supportive throughout our kitchen renovation and outdoor living space project. She helped us apply for the necessary derogation with the city and was very knowledgeable about the requirements. We appreciated her help with the design, material and colour. She was very responsive and always happy to help bounce off ideas. Would definitely work with her again.

We renovated our house last year and are so pleased that we had Yahel Farkas at Accordeon Architecture, helping us. Our kitchen was transformed from a dated and dark kitchen to a beautiful, modern, light and extremely effective workspace. Our basement, with its bathroom, laundry room and bedroom are now airy, light and so welcoming. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Yahel was always available and had a wonderful disposition and ideas.

Yahel and Taraneh provided one of a kind service for our basement project. They offered many options and helped us choose the design that best suited our lifestyle. They were professional , patient and were there for us every step of the way. In the end the finished product was exceptional thanks to them. I would highly recommend this team!!

From the outset, the partner we worked took the time to listen and understand our objectives. She did all of her research on our property before submitting a detailed design plan with plenty of visuals. Totally amenable to the many changes we requested; she even came with us to choose the stones. Also very helpful in suggesting reliable contractors. Their fee was very fair and they exceeded out expectations on service, always getting back to us quickly, speaking with contractors directly to answer their questions and help move the process forward. We were treated extremely professionally throughout the process even though it was a small project. Wouldn't hesitate to work with Accordéon again and highly recommend them!

I have worked with the firm for the past year on multiple projects and I can attest to Taraneh and Yahel's incredible work. I have been working with Taraneh’s firm for the past 2 years on a complex historical building restoration / design project, downtown Montreal (Plateau Mont-Royal). The building, an historical architectural landmark on the Plateau, previously owned by one of the mayor of the city in the early 1900’s and was closely monitored by the city for any alterations and modifications that will alter the historical elements of the building. She has been a key contributor to the quality of the final result. Not only she was able to navigate the complexity of the rules and regulations of the Plateau Mont-Royal, she was able to inspire new ideas and key design alternatives within those constraints and parameters that led to a more modern, open, industrial design that we were looking for while preserving the historical quality of the building. Would highly recommend Taraneh and her firm for innovative designs and renovations on the Plateau Mont-Royal.

Taraneh did the design of my kitchen and bathrooms and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. She managed to magically create space and functionality in what was very little space while still keeping things very open and airy. She was always courteous and very responsive and made sure the contractors always had the direction and the materials they needed. Would highly recommend her expertise.

Yahel was the architect who assisted me in designing my attic two years ago. With patience and skill, she incorporated my ideas into a genius plan that was creative yet very practical.
