My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Dave Copeland, started to build my house he was never onsite and made many errors and NC code violations. My house has now been delayed by 8 months. Essentially it’s becoming a remodel instead of a new build due to his negligence. I used him because of the photos he posted on his website about other projects that he did. However later discovered much of the projects were not done by him. All of my bathrooms had to be redone due to lack of waterproofing. He installed my kitchen in the wrong location. Windows were in the wrong place and installed incorrectly. This is just some of the errors made by Advent Building. I would not trust him or his work

They did a great job building our beach cottage at Topsail Beach. They worked very hard to get the job done and in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely recommend and use Advent Building again.

David has been involved with several projects for us over the past 2-3 years: Kitchen remodel, Beach house repairs, Repairs necessary to sell home. David has always been easy to work with, dependable, professional, trustworthy, and eager to please. We have always been pleased with the quality of his work. He does the necessary research when needed - for example he helped us decide what type of window protection was best for our beach house. He did an excellent job on the tile backsplash for our kitchen remodel. We would definitely use him again!

Advent Building Corp. did a masterful job in converting the Master bathroom suite in our newly-purchased home, to make it handicap-accessible. The previous shower installation was raised approx. 6 inches, and was not accessible. David listened to my suggestions and ideas about my needs for the new shower area. He developed and presented plans to make the roll-in shower accessible. We agreed on cutting out the previous shower pan, reinforcing the underlying flooring supports, installing and sealing a new subfloor and tiles, adapting the plumbing for new water controls and drainage, and adding safety bars and fixtures where needed. Advent met all deadlines for this project, coordinated with plumbers, electricians, carpenters, masons, painters and others to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of the new, accessible bathroom. I highly recommend Advent Building Corp.

We hired Advent Building to do some repair work on exterior wood initially. We were happy with the subs that he used and the fair price so we hired him to do our master bath remodel. Two walls were taken out to enlarge and everything was replaced. I was a little unhappy with him meeting timelines during the project but one year later, I must say that I am very pleased with the outcome. David Copeland is knowledgeable and easy to work with. You can trust him to do what he says he'll do. He works very hard to make sure you are pleased with the results.

Advent Building Corp. did a wonderful job remodeling our master bathroom. David took time to clearly explain everything and his estimate was spot on. He was extremely professional and courteous all throughout the process. The work was done efficiently and David checked in with us all along the way. I'd highly recommend him and will be using him for any of my future home building projects.

Superb! Tore out old kitchen and replaced with a completely new kitchen: cabinetry, plumbing, lighting, appliances, etc. David Copeland maintained constant contact with us and closely monitored the work of the various sub-contractors. Project completed on time and in budgeted amount. Strongly recommend Advent Building Corporation.

David has been a breathe of fresh air in a field that proves to be unreliable. He's done numerous repairs to my condo inside and out, from windows, doors to siding and roofing repairs. He's responsive and has proven to be honest and fair. A recent call to David was a bit of an emergency as the ample rain left a existing door leaking. I emailed David and he responded that day. He set up to come by himself to evaluate the situation and promptly made the repair. That's uncommon in this home building/remodeling industry.
