The design ideas suggested for one glass cupboard and under cabinet lighting would have been overlooked if I was on my own. Although hired for the kitchen redesign it became apparent from the beginning that Amanda would be invaluable in the whole house restoration (following a storm). She is well versed in everything electric providing the electrician a detailed scope of all outlets, switches and new lighting placement! I alone would never have known how to tackle that job and have it turn out so perfectly! Amanda also helped me with how to talk to my contractor not just with the terminology to use but also ideas of how to get him to commit to my job and meet deadlines. I'll start out by saying that I recommend Amanda Thomas without reservation, and thank her for her tremendous work on our house! We bought a small retirement house that needed updating desperately, and I reached out to Amanda after seeing her Houzz pages. She is a super insightful and talented designer, a service-focused professional, a warm, funny, and caring person. Together we renovated the entry, dining room, kitchen, family room, and primary bedroom. Amanda always finds a way - often many ways - to incorporate the client's needs and wants into her plan. More than once she knew what I wanted before I did... and many times she saved me from my worst impulses. She worked within the budget I had and was always open to providing a range of price points for every design. We love our forever house, and we have Amanda Thomas to thank for it. Amanda was wonderful to work with on my two bathroom remodels. She was always readily available with good advice and to listen to my concerns. Whether we met in a showroom, via email, or by FaceTime, we got this project done. We worked through the height of the Covid period and the chain supply, in a timely fashion. We had wanted to renovate our tiny, dated primary bath for many years, but we weren’t really sure where to start. Our old bath consisted of a tiny, tiny shower stall and toilet in one room and a small vanity and sink in the primary bedroom.! We really wanted a larger shower and vanity area but didn’t have a lot of space to work with. Amanda showed us how we could increase the bathroom size to fit everything we wanted by moving a closet. Something we would never have thought of! She helped us pick from many options when it came to tile, flooring, vanity, faucets etc. all within our budget. Her drawings helped us to have a really good idea of how things would look. We cannot even begin to say how pleased we are with how the bathroom renovation turned out- from our large shower with seat and multiple body jets, rain showerhead, curb less door, the beautiful marble flooring and gorgeous wall tile, recessed lights, beautiful sconces, large vanity with lots of storage, heated floor and towel rack! This bathroom is also handicap accessible, should that ever be necessary, but done so in a way that is not at all noticeable. Amanda’s experience and insight have been invaluable in this renovation and we plan to have her help with other projects we are planning.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Amanda Thomas for all your design needs. We bought a 30-year old house in need of an update and while I had a vision and a budget in mind, I never could have accomplished the project without Amanda. Amanda is not only an amazing visionary and designer, but she listens to your wants, assists with all aspects of the project and does an excellent job of staying within budget (even when you’ve lost control). In the year between purchasing our house and actually moving in, Amanda was the one thing keeping us calm. Amanda took our ideas and made them better, she told us where to spend the money and where we could save a few dollars. She (virtually) held our hands when our contractors made mistakes and answered all my questions from the most mundane to assisting with the largest purchases. Amanda was my go-to for all questions during the remodel and often (if not always) knew more than the people we had hired to actually do the job (i.e.: electricians, plumbers, etc.). One of the most amazing things about Amanda is her ability to work remotely but to always make you feel like she’s right next door. She came to our house once, took measurements and pictures, talked to us on the phone and knew exactly who we were and what we were looking for. In addition, she always answered my slew of text messages and phone calls and never made me feel like I was in over my head (even when I clearly was). Amanda found space where I thought there wasn’t any and added appropriate colors where I thought we would be trapped by beige. She was amazing at always offering us three options for every room and assisting us when we couldn’t decide between the options. There is not a single room in our house that wasn’t made better by Amanda. Every time I look at my beautiful house, I am reminded of how much I owe to Amanda. She took our vision and turned it into everything we could have imagined without going over budget (which can’t be said of anyone else we worked with). The house is completely reflective of our style but better than we ever could have imagined. If I ever remodel again, Amanda will be my first call. We were hesitant to hire a designer for our kitchen renovation because of cost and concerns regarding compatibility. Of the designers we interviewed, Amanda was the most reasonably priced, and the least demanding. We realized quickly that her experience, network of suppliers and her taste was precisely what we needed. There is no doubt that using her services actually saved us money on mistakes we likely would have made. Amanda expertly designed the layout of our new space with great detail and included everything we wanted and more. She listened to us and gave us several options at every step. She was responsive to all of our questions six days a week. She was always diplomatic, never aggressive, and patient when we were making our decisions. Additionally, she worked very well with our contractor. We are so appreciative of what Amanda did for us. We have our dream kitchen now and we love everything about it.
