Working with Alan to gut renovate our primary bedroom/bathroom suite was a pleasure. He listened to our requirements, put together a few layout options that fit within the constraints given, and shared his professional opinions on things to consider. We felt like we were in good hands throughout the whole process. The final plans were just what we needed for the contractors. Once work began, we are glad we opted for his on-site visits as he caught a few things the contractors were stuck on and could suggest a few improvements that made the final result even better. We would happily work with Alan and his team again!

Alan was absolutely the right guy for my urban gut-reno/conversion of a 2-family to a single family. His plans are well thought out and very "buildable", and his knowledge of energy conservation opportunities was a big benefit.

Alan was the architect for our complete kitchen gut/remodel. He was professional, thorough and quick to respond to our requests and questions. His architectural work was detailed and timely, and his communication with our contractor and suppliers was professional and quick. All of his estimates of time and cost turned out to be spot on, and there were no surprise costs or changes. I appreciated all of his professional opinions, from whether or not to install an island to picking out sconces. In addition, I feel he very quickly understood us, our style, and our preferences during our initial conversation and gave us details and suggestions that uniquely fit us and our project.

We had a great experience working with Alan as he helped us turn a filthy, decaying, unfinished basement into warm, welcoming, brightly lit space that has become one of our favorite rooms. I had a wonderful experience working with Alan Christ on my kitchen, which turned in to a much needed renovation of the first floor of my small three story house. I am someone with strong tastes but I am not necessarily able to articulate them. Alan was somehow able to figure out what I wanted and create a kitchen space that I love. He was always available and flexible, yet clear about his own opinions. He is meticulous about design and details, and he caught several mistakes made by the contractors. We retained Alan Christ Architects to help us redesign a 112 years old house. This included but not limited to renovating 2 kitchens, 3.5 bathrooms, laundry room as well as removing a chimney in the middle of the house and adding all new services (plumbing, HVAC, and electrical). Alan did such an amazing job with the utmost attention to detail designing new room layouts that would modernize our living space while retaining the charm of an old period house and ensuring structural soundness. Every room was designed logically and methodically with specific measurements and schedules such as electrical outlet placement, materials to be used, light fixtures/switch placement, and so forth. The plan details that Alan put together with schedules helped the trades to efficiently carry out their jobs to complete an entire home renovation in less than 6 months. Alan is creative, passionate, detail oriented, and resourceful (he's like a google for sourcing things and coming up with solutions). He's also great at communicating and sharing his thoughts directly, while also being opened to my ideas and needs even when I disagreed. We highly recommend Alan for any architectural jobs big or small. We will be using Alan again for any future projects.

He was thoughtful in his design plan and worked hard to get us everything we needed within our budget. Alan is meticulous and precise in his design details. He also did a great job managing our expectations in terms of what could or could not be accomplished with our small bathrooms. Alan did a great job rennovating an over 30 years' apartment for me. He is a very detailed professional and pays careful attention to design as well as the construction quality. As I reside in Asia while the project was on going, it was rather difficult to communicate at beginning. However, it got better and better as discussion pattern via FaceTime of iPhone settled later. The only thing which was not well managed as I budged was the design fees. I guess it was more because of the problem for overtime discussion and some miss communication between us in two different countries. I am very grateful to have him as my designer and would recommend him for projects.

Alan designed a beautiful addition for me. Alan was amazing from beginning to end. Alan is very knowledgable about his field and carefully explained the parameters of what could and could not be done with my project. He listened patiently and was willing to do several re-dos of the design providing me with different and creative options.
