We recently added an addition to our home in Royal Oak. We originally had a 2 bed room, 1 bath house and Allen Wood converted it into a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home adding close to 500 sq feet. Brian and Jeff were awesome to work with and very accommodating. They were very flexible with us and understood our budget. Brian broke everything down with us so we felt very comfortable through the entire process from start to finish. Communication throughout the process was great as well. Their strong attention to detail, complete honesty and commitment to our needs/requests made this as smooth as can be. We considered 3-4 other contractors before going with Allen Wood and we have absolutely no regrets!

I highly recommend Allen Wood Construction (AWC) to anyone looking for a high quality, diligent builder. We interviewed six builders before selecting AWC to build our custom home. We were very comfortable working with Brian and Jeff, the principals of AWC, who are both great to work with. They are very low pressure and patient, and took time to explain the process to us as this was our first custom home. They worked with us on any change orders and were very fair in their pricing for any such changes. Critically, they seem to have a strong base of reliable subcontractors and they also performed much of the work themselves. As a result, we did not run into issues like others we know who have built homes recently. I am pleased to say that the finished product is beautiful and thoughtfully constructed. AWC has an eye for detail and a focus on delivering a quality outcome. I strongly urge anyone seeking a builder to contact Allen Wood Construction.

We wanted to add living space to our home by finishing our basement. My husband and I met with several diferent contractors but none of them seemed to be able to capture everything we wanted in the space. Months later we brought in Brian and Jeff and they gave us everything we wanted (living space, second kitchen, extra bedroom, bathroom, play nook, storage) and utilized the square footage in the most efficient way possible. They were clean, courteous and trustworthy in our home. We love how it turned out.

We used Allen Wood construction to finish our basement in the fall of 2016. They were professional, efficient, and always open to feedback. We were nervous about undergoing a construction project with a newly crawling baby but Allen Wood was very conscientious by cleaning up nightly and limiting foot traffic. Brian was extremely easy to communicate with and quick to respond to contact. We could not be more thrilled with the finished product.

This team did a great job in a short span of time to accomplishment our basement redo. It had been seriously damaged by a flood and they were quick and efficient. It looks terrific again. They also fixed up our porch which had water damage from the ice. We are definitely going to have them come back and do more projects and work around the house.

We had met with Several contractors prior to choosing and knew right away when we were discussing the project that this was the company for me.
