Architrave Interiors

Amy Rothman is a literal ANGEL on earth. I don’t know how she does it, but she thinks of every detail. I cannot praise her enough. She did our entire townhouse, which had not been updated since 1997. If you have a *funky* space she can design it to be functional and beautiful. I’m so grateful to her. You will love her!

We were very happy to work with Amy @ Architrave for our mini-bar project. This is our 2nd project with Architrave. Our 1st project was very extensive, as it involved a major kitchen redo, moving walls, new lighting, cabinets, adding an island etc.. We were so happy with that result many years ago, we knew we could trust Architrave to help us with our mini-bar. It is beautiful and complements the kitchen space. We suggest you consider earthquake-resistant doors + built-in lighting as part of cabinet designs up front.

Throughout the process Amy has been an invaluable contributor to our remodelling project. Her patience, experience and keen eye for space and design have been exceptional from day one. She has redesigned our floor plan to expand our tiny 1930's kitchen - turning it into a beautiful spacious modern kitchen and dining room. It was so tight before you couldn't even walk through it when the dishwasher was open! Amy used her skills to redesign the layout - including remodelling a bedroom and adding a powder room. This expanded our kitchen so much that we now have a 10ft island to sit and cook around! All this without having to increase the square footage. Amy has a wonderful sense for making your space work to its best potential. Not only that but she has an invaluable knowledge of the whole process - from setting heights of lights right down to what handles and faucets to choose. She has very patiently steered us in the right direction - especially with some of our wackier ideas! I'd strongly reccomend Architrave Interiors if you are considering a remodel.

We originally engaged Amy to help us with the layout of our kitchen, but what we gained was so much more than just a great design. Along the way, we built a strong relationship with someone who genuinely cares: about her work, about our vision, and about guiding us through all the inevitable ups and downs of a major renovation. Like any construction project, ours had its challenges, but Amy was always just a phone call away. Her support and expertise helped us navigate each phase with confidence. Tactically, Amy did an excellent job designing the kitchen layout. As part of the renovation, we removed two rooms and moved several walls; a big transformation. Now that we’re living in the space, we have a deep appreciation for how thoughtful her design was and how intentional each decision turned out to be. Beyond the layout, Amy went above and beyond, she accompanied us to vendor meetings, helped us choose appliances, tile, hardware, and made sure every detail fit both our aesthetic and functional needs. We’re thrilled with the end result and incredibly grateful for the time and care Amy dedicated to our project. Her visits to our home, her attention to detail, and her personal investment in the outcome made all the difference. Highly recommend working with Amy; she’s not only a talented designer, but also a true partner in the process.

AMY is incredible. I just don’t feel like you can find people that possess her work ethic and have the level of integrity anymore. She’s highly talented, highly committed and does everything needed to make sure that the remodel is successful. Highly recommend.

I retained Amy Rothman (Architrave Interiors) to completely renovate our 2,000 square-foot Brentwood condominium. Having recently acquired the property, it was outdated and in disrepair, so we demolished everything and started over. Thanks to Amy, today we have our gorgeous new home. Amy was involved every step of the way, from planning the best use of our spaces to identifying the exquisite finishes, colors and architectural improvements. She was instrumental in reworking each room to maximize its potential, recommending elegant stone counters and luxury flooring as well as designing a kitchen fit for a master chef complete with state-of-the-art appliances. The lighting accents, hardware finishes, fixture selections and decorative details throughout showcase her adept talent and outstanding skills for visualizing and creating a home which is elegant, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing . She was always available to assist us with our construction/design decisions and answer our many questions while accompanying us on all showroom selections. Her ability to work with other constituents to ensure a well-run project was commendable and helped to keep the project on track. I personally appreciated the kindness she showed to my family and me and her professionalism in dealing with sales personnel, subcontractors, the Homeowner's Association and building inspections. I am thankful that I was referred to her and will always be grateful for the beautiful new home she created for us.

We had the pleasure of working with Amy from Architrave Interiors to design our kitchen, and we are very happy with the results. Amy's expertise in functional design truly transformed our space. She created an efficient layout that maximized our cabinet space and usage, making our kitchen incredibly practical and user-friendly. Amy introduced us to a range of high-quality appliances and vendors and provided insightful suggestions that really elevated the overall functionality of our kitchen. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident throughout the entire process. She was always available to answer our questions and gave us a ton of guidance through a very daunting project. We highly recommend Amy Rothman and Architrave Interiors to anyone looking to create a highly functional and efficient kitchen. Her professionalism, talent, and dedication are unparalleled. Thank you, Amy, for helping us bring our vision to life!

Working with Amy @ Architrave Interiors was one of our best decisions in this project. We wanted a full kitchen renovation to transform the 70's OG look into a modern chef-ready and family-friendly gathering space. New to this process for such an undertaking, we needed a partner who could help educate us on what to expect and guide us to making some smart choices. Amy was recommended to us by friends who had worked with her on their project and we are happy to recommend her to anyone looking to upgrade their homes. Amy is smart about spaces and creative about what possibilities are possible. She was always thorough with follow-through and has the best supplier relationships that really made the process work well for style, schedule, and budget. We love the results and we are already talking to her about our next project.

Amy Rothman has been our remodel angel for this past year. She has guided, informed, listened, and been a calming source throughout our project. Helping us remodel our condo -kitchen,whole house flooring, bathrooms, etc. She considered EVERY detail- and we have a beautiful home ! The connections and relationships she has with everyone involved highlights her expertise We recommend to anyone looking for help with remodel or redesign to look to Amy and her team!

Along with the excitement of a planned kitchen remodel, comes a nervousness and anxiety tied to all the uncertainties involved in making your vision a reality. This was our first kitchen remodel, and we knew that we needed the right professionals to help us with the design and to assist us with all of the myriad decisions that are required. Selecting Amy Rothman of Architrave Interiors as our kitchen designer and consultant was the very best thing we did, and we couldn’t be happier with the kitchen (and laundry room) that she helped us create. From the outset, Amy’s patience, and her ability to walk us through the process, allowed us to create space that we could not have envisioned on our own. With a plan in hand, she was able to tap into a trusted team of professionals, and a rich pool of resources that made the process that much easier. She stood by us each step of the way in planning and selecting appliances, tiles, counter-tops, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, and all the necessary components of our kitchen. She even helped us create new closet space in our 1920s home. She has outstanding taste, and her experience helped us avoid problems down the road. We highly recommend Amy without any reservation!

Can I give 6 stars? We engaged Amy to redesign our kitchen; somehow she not only gave us that, but also showed us how to relocate our bathroom and add a bar area without pushing out any exterior walls. Her design maximized every square inch yet it does not feel cramped. We thought we were hiring a designer; what we got was an amazing project coordinator. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of materials, appliances, cabinets, colors, and window coverings. She answered every question within minutes: I do not think she ever sleeps. She defended her suggestions with intelligence and determination, but also knew when to stop pushing them. If we asked her for her thoughts on kitchen pendants, we would wake up in the morning to a dozen on-point internet links. She seems to know every home improvement shop in Los Angeles and the Valley. And as much as we love her design sense, we appreciated even more her relationship with Bruce, the contractor she paired us with. When issues arose, she was a tiger advocating for us (and do not get me wrong, we also love Bruce). She speaks the language of contracting and was able to translate our ideas to him, and his processes to us. An amazing designer, supervisor, touchstone, and human being.

We have done two major kitchen remodels with Architrave, in two very different styles, and both are great. Amy listens, supports or vetoes ideas diplomatically, designs with creative vision and practical sensibility, and problem-solves throughout (which was put to the ultimate test for the second remodel, during the pandemic, which frayed the nerves of everyone involved). We are very happy with our new kitchen and give our unabashed recommendation!

We built a house from ground up and hiring Amy was one of the best decisions we made. Our architect had a hard time laying out our house the way we wanted. When we went over our plans with Amy, she completely turned them around to exactly what we had in mind. She noted that many of the proportions were off and made some really helpful recommendations. Aside from guiding us through space planning, she helped us design our kitchen and bathrooms and now that we are moved in, we really appreciate all of her thoughts and recommendations. She was so thoughtful about how the layout would affect our day to day life, there's no way we would have come up with many of these ideas on our own. Not only does everything look beautiful but it's functional and flows so well. The level of attention to detail that Amy has is unparalleled and her wealth of knowledge is beyond anything we expected. We are so grateful we hired Amy and would highly recommend her, you will not be disappointed!

I had a great experience renovating my main bathroom with Amy. She came up with a great layout that dramatically improved the existing space, has a great eye in selecting materials, colors, etc. to fit my vision, and was extremely generous with her time assisting me in shopping for fixtures, tile & stone. I'd highly recommend!

I highly recommend Amy Rothman at Architrave Interiors for any and all renovations! Our mid-1980s condo needed a LOT of updating and she has been invaluable help in designing new and more livable spaces. She’s so thoughtful, and helped me find what style I wanted, encouraging to me as I looked at materials. She really helped me feel more confident about my choices. She also kept me from going wildly over budget when selecting materials. Now I have the most gorgeous Main Suite Bath, an incredible laundry room, she rescued a guest bath that was literally dangerous, and we will be contracting her to do our Kitchen next! She also is incredible at managing communications between contractors and vendors. If you want to have complete trust in your designer and be delighted by your improved home, call Architrave!

To say that Amy is an amazing designer who pays attention to the smallest of details really doesn't accurately describe her work. I would say she is more of a miracle worker. We had Amy completely redesign our small kitchen and I honestly am not sure how she was able to give us the dream kitchen we always wanted. From the very beginning, she listened to all of our wants and needs and was able to work them in seamlessly. Our house was built in 1932 and Amy helped us pick out the style and colors that made our new kitchen look as if it was always there....but better. Her insight, expertise, and patience are invaluable and we will also be using her magnificent skills to redesign one of our bathrooms. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Amy. She is worth every penny and more.

I don't know how I would have done this job without Amy. I remodeled a bathroom and bedroom. She was with me every step of the way. If I needed to return to the marble warehouse 3 times, she came with me 3 times and never complained. She listened to my vision and helped me create it and gently steered me away from ideas that would not work. She has great taste and a good esthetic. Also, there were times in the remodel with supply delays, worker errors and general chaos that I was about to come unglued and she calmly talked me through these moments. That was invaluable. One area Amy really helped, was she followed through with vendors and keeping me updated on when things were in and fixing it when things came in wrong. I highly recommend working with Amy and would definitely hire her again. Her fees are also extremely reasonable. My bathroom came out beautiful!

Amy made a huge impact on my kitchen remodel and house improvement project in Santa Monica. I am very pleased.

I can't recommend Architrave highly enough! Amy Rothman is an exceptionally skilled creative problem solver! She came up with kitchen/bathroom solutions that were so smart and functional. In addition, her aesthetic sense and eye for detail is unparalleled. Amy knows everything there is to know about materials, appliances, etc, etc. In addition, she managed to find amazing deals! Five stars are not enough for Architrave.

I’ve worked with Amy at Architrave interiors on a large home remodel from top to bottom. Amy is a true expert in her field from creating a cohesive design that works within in space to specific positioning that enhances the layout and flow of a room. Amy works extremely well to understand the client’s taste while providing expert suggestions and guidance on how all of the many parts work together. She is dedicated to her craft and provides expert project oversight. Her responsiveness, knowledge and dedication are truly outstanding. She has been an invaluable part of the process and I strongly recommend Amy for any project. Thanks Amy!!

After interviewing several designers we chose Amy and were not disappointed. She delivers on her promises 100%. She has a fabulous sense of space and design, is extremely accessible and responsive, and very even-tempered and professional. She takes all the "must haves", changes in plans and scope, and emotions that come with a construction project in stride and is a true problem solver. Over a period of several months we revised our plans numerous times in an attempt to get more usable space in our kitchen, including a banquette to seat 5, laundry area/butler's pantry, 3 ovens, 2 dishwashers and a substantial island with counter stools. Amy was able to make it all work and we are thrilled with the outcome. She is also available to help choose appliances, finishes and hardware as well as recommend contractors if needed.

Amy was recommended to me by a friend who had utilized her for a remodel of one of his rental units. He was very happy with her follow thru and attention to detail. Her specialty is space planning. My unit has an open floor plan for kitchen/dining and living room with two small bathrooms. I had work with other designers but they always gave me the same floor plan I currently had. Amy redesigned my kitchen. She only lengthen it by 6 inches but by flipping appliances and cutting down part of a wall it made the space much larger. She also came up with wonderful suggestions to modernize my bathroom from the 70’s! She went with me to pick out flooring, appliances, tile and counter tops. Making suggestions throughout the project of where I might cut costs and what would give me a bigger bang for my money. While I did meet up with some of Amy’s contractors I ended up going with a contractor I was familiar with who knew the condo complex. The two of them worked well together appreciating the professionalism each brought to the job. Lastly, while I thought the job was done, upon a walk thru by Amy, she noticed areas where tweaks were necessary to turn good into perfect. I highly recommend Amy. I do not think you will be disappointed.

I worked with Amy on the remodel of my home in Daly City, California. I would have been lost without her. I am a first time home buyer and first time remodeler. Amy reviewed all of our contractor's plans. She completely redesigned the master bathroom to create a layout that was a better use of our space and more practical. She took into consideration design elements that the contractor did not. For example, she made sure we had an adequate size closet while still making sure that we had enough space around the toilet. You can see below how well the master bathroom turned out. It is a completely different layout than before. Amy also redesigned the kitchen to give us an island and a built in wine rack to a pillar that could not be removed. Again, it turned out beautifully. Also, as a first time remodeler, I was lost as to what materials to pick and what would look good. Amy came with me and my husband to pick out materials, told us what would look good, and even helped us negotiate the prices. All of the tile and stone in our house is different (no room has the same materials) but yet it all works so well together. I wouldn't change a thing. Initially, we just consulted her regarding the kitchen redesign and cabinetry but once we realized that we had no idea what to pick, we got Amy's help on everything. She came with us to pick out appliances and bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Again, she used her connections to make sure we got good quality items at good prices. I cannot sing Amy's praise enough. We are beyond happy with how our remodel turned out. It is a million times better than it was before and than it would have been if we had not worked with her. I do not think we could have done it without her. She was always available by phone and even face timed regularly to see the work as it was progressing. She worked with our contractor who was not easy to get along with. I highly recommend hiring Architrave Interiors; you cannot go wrong working with Amy.

Amy was fantastic! I highly recommend that you use her services for any remodel. She helped us with our kitchen remodel and she saved the day on multiple occasions. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again!

Amy Rothman is so great to work with! She has all of the contacts you'll need to know to get great deals on a variety of materials needed for any interior design work in the LA area. She is so friendly and fun to be around, and goes out of her way to make sure you are happy with all of the work she does. I highly recommend working with her on any of your design projects!

I’ve worked with Amy on several kitchen and bathroom projects. Amy is a true professional from start to finish. Her planning process is incredibly thorough and the end results are always spectacular. I’d recommend her to anyone.

Two days after closing, we opened the door of our new condo to a flooded kitchen. We had considered some cosmetic upgrades, but now, a ruined wood floor made the decision for us…we’d have to do a complete renovation. After the flood, finding Amy Rothman and Architrave Interiors was our greatest stroke of luck. In addition to her design intuition and space planning skills, Amy brought her vast experience and professionalism to help guide us through all the twists and turns of a difficult process, from the evolving demands of our HOA, plan checks and changes, construction curve balls, and all manner of delays. Amy’s attention to detail, follow-through, and, above all, her calm temperament and patience got us over a lot of obstacles. Hire her. You’ll sleep better. And we love our new kitchen!

Amy was great! We had been waiting years to remodel our kitchen and when we finally committed to it Amy was so helpful! I knew my husband and I had a somewhat different idea of what we wanted, but Amy helped us come to agreements and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. Her contractor and his crew were easy to work with and accommodating to our schedule and needs. Amy helped us pick out everything and went out of her way to make sure that we were happy with our tile and stone selections. She even helped us pick out our paint colors. Everytime we go into the kitchen we say to ‘Wow!’ Thanks so much Amy for everything!

We purchased a studio apartment in WEHO that the previous owner had (sort of) converted into a one bedroom. The problem was the bedroom was basically a (claustrophobic) built-in loft bed in a large closet. Ugh! Amy of Architrave Interiors was referred to us by a close friend who had used her numerous times for apartment remodels. When she told us that one of her specialties was "small space" design we knew we had to meet with her and see what kind of ideas she had for our 700 square foot condo. Well, let me tell you Amy is something special when it comes to designing creative, innovative, super smart, functional and beautiful uses of "small spaces"! Within a few days of seeing the unit we met with her again where she presented us with an amazing design for the space which included a larger bedroom, larger kitchen and even a bonus space to be used as an office or whatever we wanted! It was truly a fabulous use of space. From there the project got underway and it was not without it's challenges but Amy was always on it and problem solved everything. She was a constant professional to work with. Always available, responsive and patient with us. The time and attention she paid to our project you would have thought it was the only project she was working on- which was not the case. She never tried to tell us what we should pick when came to choosing cabinetry styles or appliances, only offered us up opinions and suggestions if we requested them. She does have great advise and taste! She was consistently nice and easy to work with. If anything was not exactly the way we wanted it, she stood by her work and made it right. The end result exceeded our expectations! A beautiful condo that we will enjoy for long time. You would have to see to believe it was the same place! I would highly recommend Amy Rothman and can't wait to work with her again! Thank you so much, Amy!!!

Amy is a true gem!! Not only is she highly talented and amazing at what she does, she does it with heart! She loves what she does and truly wants to be there for you. We had a water leak in our house, that resulted in what we call an "unplanned remodel". We had to remodel most of our house which we did not plan to do at all, so having Amy there to give us her guidance and expertise was priceless. She gave us excellent advise on all aspects of our upgrades and with her excellent space planning skills, she made some minor changes to our floor plan, that ultimately made major impacts to our house. For instance, she had us move a door in the kitchen down a few feet to enlarge our kitchen and give us more counter space and she also had us turn an extra closet into a much needed powder bath. Both of these changes were relatively minor but made such a major impact on our house. I would highly recommend Amy for any project and I promise she will be such a gift!

Highly recommend Amy of Architrave Interiors. She is very knowledgeable of everything renovation related. She is a wonderful space planner and was able to convince me to adjust our construction plans.Amy has a wonderful assortment of cabinet options, and they are really great quality! After working with Amy, I know other people who had her do an extensive kitchen remodel a few years ago, and they told me her kitchen design & cabinets look terrific & are still holding up wonderfully. The salespeople at Mission Tile West and Fergusons all said glowing things about Amy when I purchased tile and plumbing fixture for other clients, so I'm very happy with how the project ended up. Thank you for everything Amy!!!

We are extremely pleased with our kitchen, designed by Amy Rothman of Architrave Interiors. The cabinets are beautiful -- high quality and the custom color production was dead on! But it was the design work that we appreciated as much as anything. She worked with us closely to understand our preferences and the functionalities we desired. She provided multiple options for us to consider, explained the pro's and con's of each, and was incredibly detailed and precise in planning and execution. She worked closely with our installers and demonstrated outstanding follow through and follow up. Our kitchen is simply stunning, and an absolute joy to cook in! We would definitely work with Amy again! Thank you Amy!

Working with Amy Rothman of Architrave Interiors was an excellent experience. Her space planning ideas for my master bath & secondary bath incorporated my wishes while expanding possibilities. She also was a source for cabinet selection & her services included accurate measurements, ordering, keeping me informed & inspecting cabinets upon delivery. All in all a professional, easy to work with provider. I intend to use her again when it comes to my kitchen.

I've known Amy for over 10 years and for good reason. Not only is she a lovely soul, BUT she has an impeccable eye for interior space and layout. Often times will visualize the possible when clients think it's impossible. Amy is also very resourceful and frugal when it comes to sourcing materials or decorative pieces for clients, always keeping their budget in mind. She has great taste and a wonderful sense of collaboration, pulling things together. I confidently refer Amy to my clients every time I can because I feel she's a gift that keeps on giving.

Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I have worked with this company twice in the last few years and they take the stress out of remodeling. Not only they know their own products but they connect you with their resources to get the job done.

I have collaborated with Amy Rothman on numerous kitchen and bath remodels. Amy is a space planner extraordinaire! She thinks outside the box and designs spaces that enhance both the aesthetic and function of a room. Amy also reps several cabinet companies who are all fairly priced and make well built products. I highly recommend Amy Rothman of Architrave Interiors.

I hired Architrave Interiors to renovate 3 bathrooms and the kitchen in a townhouse I purchased in California while still living in Virginia -- a "long distance" project. I met with Architrave once in California, and they handled everything, keeping me informed regularly. They kept the cost under control by finding lovely appliances, tiles, countertops, fixtures, lights, etc at a reasonable cost. They gave me lots of choices via email. I've now moved in and am very happy with the results.

Amy and Architrave Interiors earned my highest regard and absolute recommendation. The design and detail in my kitchen are fantastic. Amy carefully listened to what was important to me and translated my wishes into a beautiful, functional space that serves as the hub of my home. Architrave works with a team of very experienced tradesmen that are experienced and superior craftsmen. I really appreciated Amy's communication during the course of the project. Amy was on site regularly and called to update me, to discuss the goals and status of the project for the week, who and what work would be performed, and timelines and schedules. This was so important, as I remained in my home during the construction. I have to address another aspect of my remodel, and that is Amy's high degree of professionalism. Her attention to detail and customer satisfaction is amazing.

All I needed/wanted was an advisor - someone to help me design and plan my rather simple kitchen upgrade. I didn't need a project manager, just wanted someone to help me figure it all out. I was referred to Amy Rothman, who came highly recommended. Through Amy, I got lots more than I'd expected! Amy steered me to some terrific vendors, helped me choose colors and styles, and explained how this project should be sequenced. She patiently tolerated my many rejections of her suggestions, slowness in decision-making, and need to be in charge of my own project! I also ended up using her excellent contractor, rather than doing it all on my own, as planned. And through it all, Amy continued to check back in to be sure all was going well, giving words of wisdom when needed, giving me time, energy, and advice above and beyond our original agreement! The result is that, with Amy's help as advisor and consultant, I now have a clean, functional, attractive kitchen that is exactly what I'd wanted!

I would rate Amy Rothman as many stars as there are in the sky! But I'm only limited to five. Amy came up with the perfect layout that seems obvious to me now, but nobody else thought of it. But she would not have come up with the perfect layout had she not spent the time going through various configurations. As they say, innovation is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. But the design is just the first step for Amy. Once I approved it, we went shopping for tile, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, and counter top material. Never did I feel rushed to make a decision. In fact, Amy would always want me to take my time about decisions. It was important for her to see how things looked in my bathroom as colors could look different in different light. She will pay attention to the tiniest details like the location of light switches and towel rods, width of slab edges, tile patterns, and proper paint colors. Contractors like her detailed approach because it avoids any ambiguities. Suffice it to say, I simply cannot fathom how I could have properly done my master bath remodel without Amy Rothman. Description of work: I had a fairly good sized, but poorly designed bathroom with a lot of wasted space. So I needed someone with an eye for space planning as well as an eye for aesthetics. And realizing that I would have to spend a decent amount of money on construction and materials, I needed someone I could trust to navigate that fine line between not spending enough in order to do the proper improvements, to needless spending on items that would not be beneficial. But my search for a competent interior designer proved daunting. Why? Because I discovered that California has no licensing authority over interior design work. Anyone could call themselves an interior designer, or join a number of trade organizations. But the reality is that most of those I interviewed were decorators without a fundamental understanding about proper remodeling. Simply showing me before and after photos of bathrooms they worked on did not necessarily translate to my particular bathroom space. And much of it looked more like cosmetic upgrades, not the radical redesign that I needed. After almost a dozen interviews I was about to throw in the bathroom towel. Then I hit the jackpot when I discovered Amy Rothman. And it's not just because she went to a prestigious design college or served on the Santa Monica Architectural Review Board. Rather, it was her acknowledgment that my situation was unique and required a lot of thought on her part as to what would work or not. And that meant her drawing and revising layouts numerous times. In short, she took her time to come up with the best design possible.

No detail was too small for Amy to deal with. I was so much more impressed after working with her on the kitchen remodel in my guest house than I was when I chose her for the project. The layout, the cabinet recommendation, and tile and lighting suggestions were all first rate. She knew to push me when I needed the little extra push to make the right choices and never let the contractor get away with a thing. Tough and smart and with great taste - I won't do anything without Amy in the future.

When we renovated our kitchen and bathrooms in Santa Monica, we used Architrave Interiors and Amy Rothman. She was deferential to our sense of style while expressing her opinions - a perfect blend of listening and talking! Amy transformed these spaces from marginally functional and drab into highly efficient and beautiful. She reallocated space in our kitchen to make it more functional and efficient. She designed our cabinets and had them made for us. She accompanied us on dozens of excursions to select countertops, back-splash tile, floor tile, sinks and hardware, lighting, and appliances. She was in our home very frequently, ensuring that the contractor and his subs did the work to the highest possible standards. Amy was a pleasure to work with. She is extremely responsive, promptly returning all calls and emails. She met with us whenever requested. She was mindful of our budget, keeping the scope of the project manageable. Amy is highly intelligent, knowledgeable, creative, and energetic. We could not be happier with the work she did for us. We give Architrave and Amy Rothman our highest possible endorsement.

Amy designed my kitchen and bathroom in my new home and I couldn't be happier with her work! She understood what I wanted and was efficient, creative and on top of the process from start to finish. Amy's attention to detail was very impressive and I am now using and enjoying my kitchen and bathroom. Thank you Amy!!!

Amy Rothman helped me design and remodel my master bathroom. She was great! She was friendly, knowledgeable, creative, timely, and able to work within my budget. An example was her great design with the tile I chose for the shower. The best part about working with Amy was her ability to understand my style and interests, rather than try to talk me into her personal perspective. My bathroom is still feels like a new spa retreat even 6 years later. Thanks, Amy!

Amy took a dilapidated kitchen in my Burbank duplex that was tiny, dark and inefficient and turned it into a gorgeous, open kitchen, all within my budget. She helped me the entire process, acting kind of like a general contractor since I couldn't afford one. We tore down the old cabinets, tore up the circa 1960 linoleum, just about gutted the entire kitchen. She even designed two cut-outs that give the place a fabulous, modern feel: one elongated one near the ceiling, and one like a pass-through to the dining room where there was a solid wall before. I couldn't have imagined that this teensy kitchen could be transformed the way it was. Amy helped me pick out everything: the cabinetry, the flooring, the appliances, so that it has a beautiful, coherent look. I had no idea what I wanted but she guided me step by step. She even helped me pick out a fabulous green granite (at a huge discount since my place is small), and it still gets compliments. She usually does more high-end jobs, but she treated my humble Burbank abode as if it were one of her estates. I couldn't have been more pleased with the process and the results. True, the process is nerve-wracking, but she calmed me down, gave me expert advice and her taste is impeccable. She is like an architect, contractor and great designer all wrapped up in one!

I needed to have my existing kitchen upgraded with new counters and cabinets replaced. Architrave Interiors advised me on all my counter top choices and directed me to the materials that would be best for my kitchen design. I have a very modern and contemporary home and I wanted to make sure the new materials were consistent with the existing style. This was a great experience for me as Architrave designers were friendly and so incredibly talented. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone seeking to remodel their home.

Amy Rothman and her firm Architrave interiors were a pleasure to work with. Beginning with her extreme knowledge of space, placement, design and cost to the end result of installation and finish work. I will work with this firm in the future and highly recommend their services for advice and execution. Amy has a great temperament for working with high strung clients and laid back contractors. She was the voice of reason from start to finish on our job. Visit her lovely showroom and office on Ocean Ave in Santa Monica and one will immediately realize they are working with a design pro.
