Amy Woolf We recently enlisted the services of Amy Woolf for a major renovation at our home. Initially Amy was going to help us with color selections only. As we were looking at cabinet and wall colors Amy suggested a cabinet door style which we liked very much. From that point on Amy helped with many selections. Amy created a flip book visual presentation for color coordination, lighting fixtures and furniture suggestions. Amy met us at Arrow tile helping us there with tile selections. Amy went as far as to help us with the color pallet for our hand knotted Tibetan rug and the fabrics of the pillows for our new living room furniture. We love our new space and are greatly appreciative to all of the help from Amy along the way.

Having Amy consult on paint colors for our new home was the best decision I could have made! We are first time homeowners and were working on a tight timeline to have the entire interior of the home redone before moving in. We wanted to create separate spaces in a mostly open floor plan and also be sensitive to the age of the house (1875). I'm very indecisive and was struggling with choosing the right colors. I was also trying to be budget conscious, so the idea of spending money on a color consultant seemed excessive. In hindsight I would have paid Amy more than her very reasonable rate for the quality of her consultation and the amazing end results! She asked lots of questions via email and a more formal questionnaire. We used a Pinterest board with inspirational photos along with the property listing as the starting point for our phone consultation. During our call, I felt like Amy truly got to know me and my husband and understand what we were hoping to achieve in our new space. I loved the time with her, she's so warm and gave the process a really personal touch! Since our painters were scheduled shortly after our call, Amy expedited delivery of the paint color samples and helped us select floor stain and kitchen backsplash colors, too. Visitors to our home always comment on the colors, often asking for the exact name of the paint and talking about how well the colors in the different rooms flow together. I'm so thankful to Amy every single day in our home!

We read an article written by a gentleman who decided to document the number of individual decisions he had to make during the process of building his new home. He was up to 30,000 decisions and he had not yet completed the bathrooms. If you have or are building a home, you can relate. We have just complete our new home in the NH mountain valley area which has been in construction for the past 2 years and once we had the architectural design, we determined very quickly that the second most vital decision for us was selecting the exterior color/s of the home. We realized the impact it would have, almost like a wrapped package may express the present inside. Amy Wolf, was our gift and a gifted woman she is. Amy’s talented and almost intuitive thoughts on color are magical, delightful and spot on! One thing that she said which impacted our many interior color decisions later in the process was that she loved colors that have an ambiguous identity. That was exactly what we wanted, a color not brown, not grey, not green but a color that was like a chameleon as it blended into its surroundings. Amy taught us a lot, the way we harmonize colors from room to room and to “keep lines simple and clean”. Our new home has a contemporary vibe along with spectacular views of the White Mountains which makes our home our place of solace and welcoming for family and friends. When we built our new home in North Carolina, we engaged Amy (Amy Woolf Color Consulting) to assist us in selecting paint colors. Amy began by spending time in our (now former) home, discovering our style preferences and understanding the feeling we wanted to promote and live with in our new place. She created several fabulous color palettes for each room. The result has been amazing; I love each and every room, the colors make me happy and I am grateful every day living with Amy's color selections. With Amy's help what might otherwise have been a generic white-walled house was transformed into our own unique and beautiful home. Amy is the best!

Amy Woolf opened my eyes to what was possible. She asked me questions that I had not even considered that simplified all of the decision-making about the pastiche of colors that tied our pool house and backyard together perfectly. She listened intently to what I wanted and she provided creative solutions to help us put together the perfect combination. She was patient and efficient -- meeting me over the phone and in-person to deliver expert guidance. it was a pleasure to work with her and I would highly recommend her.

We have been working with Amy to help update a condo we recently purchased. She has been incredibly helpful every step of the way. After getting a clear sense of our preferences, she offered suggestions that we now realize were crucial, and that helped us begin coordinating the colors of ALL the pieces of our remodeling project- including the floors, the kitchen cabinets, the countertops, and the walls. Before working with Amy, I never would have considered how something like the color of the wood flooring might impact everything else in the room. Amy has also been a delight to work with. She is clear in her opinions, and yet she has continued to support us in making choices that feel right to us. Her enthusiasm for color is infectious; after a few consultation sessions with her, I began to see color in a very different way. Amy is also warm and personable, and has a lovely sense of humor. She has been very responsive to all our requests, and treats us like we are family. I give her my strongest recommendation and can guarantee that a consultation with her is a wise investment!

Amy has saved my sanity on three separate occasions. First was our kitchen – we installed natural cherry cabinets and a gorgeous dark granite countertop. But what color for the walls? They needed to be a backdrop – the wood and the granite are the stars. Beigey was blah, other colors I looked at were too pushy. Finally I smartened up and called Amy. She selected a muddy green; I thought “no way!”, and requested a “prettier” green. Amy complied with my request and sent samples, but (gently!) told me they weren’t right. After seeing the samples with the cabinets and counter, I had to agree. So I went with her choice - and boy, did she nail it! The color plays beautifully with the granite and the cherry without getting in the way. Gorgeous! Amy also came to the rescue when we redid our bathroom. We knew we wanted white tile – how hard can it be to pick white tile? We could handle that – NOT! The tile was almost all up when we realized with a sinking feeling it was wrong, wrong, wrong. This was our master bath – the first room we see in the morning, and the last we see at night. After a lot of hand-wringing and self-flagellation, we had the contractor take it down. We called Amy and confessed our sins. She helped us pick the right tile, and we couldn’t be happier. (And to her credit, she didn’t laugh or lecture us!) Most recently, we repainted the guest bedroom. This time we didn’t even make an attempt to pick a color – we just called Amy. The room is beautiful – again, she nailed the color. We knew it needed to be neutral; she picked a soft, warm ivory with peachy undertones, neutral but not boring. Working with Amy is a joy – not only do you know you’ll be happy with her picks, but she really listens to your concerns and makes you feel like you are the most important client she has. Highly recommend her services!

My wife and I decided to put a 1/2 bath in our bedroom, and wanted to also paint our grey bedroom walls. Amy paid us a 3 hour visit, and by the time she left, we had firm ideas for wallpaper and ideas about wood for the vanity, and a paint color for our bedroom. In addition, she helped us pick out light fixtures that we ordered while she was here. Over the next few days, Amy helped us pick out tile for the bathroom floor, and we determined that the choices for wallpaper and the vanity would be perfect. Long story short, what would have taken us MONTHS to decide was done to perfection. She totally understood our style and what we needed. Our bathroom is now finished, and is everything we dreamed--- the colors and mood are PERFECT. The light fixtures couldn't be better- the right style and size for our small space. The tiles are unique and totally our style. I don't know how we could have ever done this project without her insight, guidance and constant help- thank you, Amy!
