Both of us have nothing but great things to say about the design process. Really felt like Anchor folks were very communicative, listened to what we liked / disliked, and guided us through the process with thoughtfulness and insight. It can be overwhelming at times but we found a very good rapport and rhythm that made sure the overall scope never felt too daunting. Happy to recommend!

Anchor Builders knocked it out of the park! We started our home building journey with an architect. Our thought was to finalize the design and then find the right builder. After some difficulties in the design process, we were overwhelmed and unsure what to do next. A friend recommended Anchor Builders, and we are so happy we reached out. From the moment we started talking to Anchor Builders, they got it. We shared our architect designs, and they filled in all the gaps, ensuring nothing was missed between design and build. We even received a bunch of helpful feedback, options to keep building cost in check, and areas for potential upgrades. Our point of contact, Barak, and our project manager were awesome. They set up a weekly update meeting, so we always knew where the process and budget were headed. Other than some issues with our Edina lot (not Anchor’s fault), the build process was easier than I expected. My wife, my two kids and our dog love our new home and wholeheartedly recommend Anchor Builders.

Choosing Anchor Builders of Minnesota to realize our dream home, particularly with the Japandi style guiding our design, was an incredibly positive experience. We are 5 years out from our teardown/rebuild completion and couldn't be happier. The design was well thought out (with our intentions and personal taste in mind) and the craftsmanship is beautiful. Most importantly, we can't say enough about the Anchor team. Each member we worked with, both in design and build, made us feel like we were a part of the Anchor family and took all of our ideas and concerns to heart. It's great to have a relationship with a team that is as responsive today as they were during the build process. If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing!

We met with many different architects and design-build firms before selecting Anchor Builders. Anchor impressed us with an honest and transparent approach to design and construction. We visited many open houses and have consistently found that Anchor homes are the highest quality craftsmanship. Building a custom home is a journey, and Anchor Builders are the best guides you will find. Over the past six months, Anchor has guided our exploration of ideas and wishes for a new home. They merged our visions into a beautiful design that is true to us. It has been an adventure. The most significant challenge was managing the limitations of a budget. Anchor listened carefully and helped us to determine what was most important - turning limits into opportunities to reimagine our future home. We are delighted with the final design and super excited to start construction.

I have been writing about remodeling projects in the Twin Cities for several years and have had the opportunity to tour a number of Anchor Builders projects. I have always been impressed by the quality of their work. Thoughtful designs and superb craftsmanship are evident in each remodel. And it always is fun to see brothers working together to create beautiful projects. I am a fellow member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. I have not personally hired Anchor Builders.

We used Anchor builders to remodel our kitchen, dining and living room and entry. We love our new space. We loved working with them so much that a year after the first project was complete we worked with their design team and had them do a remodel of our main bathroom which we also love. Shortly thereafter we decided to remove our wood burning fireplace and cap the roof where the chimney had been. Even though this was not a big project, they agreed to come out and do that for us as well. Our communication and service from Anchor builders has always been incredible, a great and reliable team. Every home remodel consists of unpredictable twists and turns. When selecting a team for such a journey you want to know that you are working with someone of high integrity, character, transparency and most importantly that you can trust. From start to finish of our project John and Barak consistently demonstrated these traits. Challenges are in no short supply during a remodel which provides ample opportunity for a person to reveal their true character. When facing challenges, we always knew that we could count on John and Barak to partner with us to figure out the best course of action. In particular, John's fortitude and thoughtfulness was the human glue that held our project together and brought it to life. If you are picking a remodeling team, John is definitely a first round draft pick. The words "Trust" and "Contractor" are not often used together; however, if you are looking for a "Contractor" that you can "Trust", then we would highly recommend Anchor Builders.

We had a pleasure working with Anchor Builders two years ago. Every person we dealt with at Anchor was very professional, the communication was always clear, Barak and John were realistic with budget and schedule, never overpromised or underestimated. We were especially impressed with their framing crew. Because it was an addition to a 1950’s house, we were dealing with some unknowns and a few surprises during the process. We felt like the team approached the issues with open mind and offered creative solutions. Some of the finishing details were fairly complicated and the team had no problem executing them. Anchor Builders came into our home with a great understanding of what it takes to build a custom home and were able to work with and create all our ideas and plans. The quality of their work was impeccable and they left the site clean and tidy each night. They also had great rapport with our city inspectors and had connections with knowledgeable vendors.
