Ann is great to work with from initial design ideas to construction. She is very patient and takes all ideas into consideration and, most importantly, states what's recommended or not a good idea. She was present at all phases of our project and handled some unforeseen circumstances with ease. She had a great depth of helping us visualize our project through plans and explanation and she has a network of landscaping related professionals that she managed easily. I highly recommend Ann for any landscaping ideas.

I am so happy with the work Betten Landscape Design did for me. Ann Betten brought in professional people who did a great job building a retaining wall and rain garden to solve a flood problem in my yard. She also oversaw the grading and construction of a new asphalt driveway and carport floor. She continually checked to make sure the work was up to her high standards. It is refreshing to work with someone who is ethical and values quality workmanship.

We saw Ann’s work at a friends’ home and being favorably impressed, we decided to work with her. Ann is a good listener wanting to know our goals, feelings and concerns about our landscaping. After carefully listening to us, she told us of her vision and why, and then provided detailed plans showing location and suggested plants, pictures and information about each plant being considered and sought our input. Ann was sensitive to and respectful of our budget and we feel we received good value for her services. We benefited from her vision and creativity, her advice and guidance, attention to details, responsiveness to our questions and requests, and oversite of the installation. The “Plant Care Booklet” is valuable providing information about the plants, when and how to prune and how to care for them. Ann worked with us on a project to stop excessive rain water from entering the basement. She immediately recognized the problem/solution and was able to organize a team swiftly to fix the problem. She is punctual and an excellent communicator. Basement has been dry for the last 9 months. Highly recommend!!

Ann did our property's front yard a few years back and we knew we would be using her again for the back when we were ready. She outperformed once again! The project is now complete and took a few years in the making. From design to completion and even during a pandemic- Ann is the ultimate professional. She leaves no stone unturned. Every detail is discussed- there are no surprises. When problems occur, and they always do on large projects, she is there to solve them quickly, fairly and efficiently. Ann knows everything you need to know on the engineering, the aesthetics, the plants and care etc. I would recommend Betten Landscape Design and I am available to discuss with referrals.

I have been extremely pleased with Ann Betten's work, from start to finish. She was very attentive to my requests, and created a beautiful and elegant design for my front yard and part of my back yard. In addition she developed a wonderful lighting design for my entire yard. She is extremely knowledgeable about plants/shrubs, and selected varieties which had interesting features during different seasons. She supervised the installation of the plants/shrubs/trees very carefully. She provided me resources for the care of the plants installed. She referred me to a wonderful landscaper. After 25 years in our home, we undertook a major redesign of the landscaping surrounding our house. Betten Landscaping Design (BLD) worked with us during the planning stage to understand our goals and tastes. That information was very effectively used to build a unique design. BLD helped us assemble the documentation needed to present our project plan for homeowner association approval. Once the design was set, BLD oversaw all phases of the installation and helped us to arrange and manage the various contractors who worked to install the hardscape, trees, shrubs and turf involved in our project. The completed project contains a wide variety of native plantings and several unique features, which we look forward to enjoying for years to come.
