Anna Stahl

Anna is an amazing designer and has been so helpful during our remodel. Her eye for color is impressive and her design ideas are very interesting and fresh, while still letting us maintain some standard basic things we didn’t want to loose. Great working with her and I look forward to working with her in the future.

How not to make yourself crazy trying to choose from a gazillion paint colors for your home? Easy. Call Anna Stahl. Anna, who combines design verve and an encyclopedic knowledge of paint colors from Benjamin Moore and other brands with balancing what colors are trending, and what colors will look best for your individual home. Anna helped me choose the right white for my living roon - and you know how many whites there are - by moving swatches of several to each wall of the room to observe the effect of light and shadows on the individual shades. Then she helped me narrow down the choices of blue for my home exterior to three possibilities from Benjamin Moore and Kelly Moore. I now just need to get samples to dab onto the siding to choose one. Easy. Anna brings enthusiasm for your project along with bunches of color swatches and her incredible eye for color and home design. My home just got an inexpensive but magical facelift. It turns out that Anna is a brilliant hunter _and_ a gatherer. She found pieces that fit my dream, for much less than the interior design zines and sites had me sweating. Her brave use of color and pattern was minimalized to fit my neutral 2300 square foot home, so that everything has a flow. She changed the look and feel of these spaces without disrupting our schedule or busy lives. What a talented designer! Good luck getting an appointment, because I know this professional is going to be booked solid!

I hired Anna to help me select bedding for my master bedroom. I was pretty specific about where I wanted to shop, and she worked well within my parameters. She told me that my bedroom should be my little sanctuary and just a few changes would make a huge difference. I never really had nice bedding, and with some matching sheets, pillows and a throw the whole room changed! Redecorating is a slow process for me, because I still have kids at home and also want to do some remodeling. I will use Anna going forward. She has a style and flair all her own!

What can I say about the talents of Anna Stahl? She is so creative, fun and inspiring -- an absolute pleasure to work with. Anna provided a comprehensive color consultation for my mid-century ranch home that I was updating. Her advice was great -- she gave us a "bold" palette that suited my tastes, and a "muted" palette that was more to my husband's liking. We ended up using a combination of the colors she selected and have been super happy with the results. Anna's style is sophisticated, urban and fun. She has a wide range of ideas and is very, very easy to talk with and work with. You won't be disappointed!

Anna Stahl is a great designer. She converted an in-law unit to a kid friendly child care several years ago that is still in use and practical today! The colors are very fun and vibrant and compartments that she brought in really allowed for one space to function as multiple spaces so each part of the room was utilized. Until this day, everyone that enters this classroom gives me compliments on the layout and decor and I have Anna to thank for that! She is flexible, on time, and affordable. The children and I are enjoying our classroom every single day. Thank you Anna! Khulood's Child Care

Simply put, Nest Interior's Anna Stahl has a perfect eye for color and design. Some people seem to be born with a keen sensitivity to subtle differences in hues and layout, and Anna is one of those rare people. I had worked with a designer previously on the same space and wasn't comfortable with her paint suggestions as she approached color selection by the floor, rather than architectural interest and variety. Our engagement began when Anna analyzed photos of my place to gauge the scope of the job. She concluded she could do the job in several hours and asked me to gather appealing room layouts from magazines so she could better envision my taste. During our time together, we moved furniture, paintings, and decor to achieve better flow and she keyed into art work, furniture, carpeting, and my ideal room layouts to arrive at recommended paint colors. She synthesized everything I threw at her and came up with creative solutions for every challenges. Although her website featured many children's rooms with strong colors, Anna had no trouble tuning into my taste for more muted tones. For several rooms, she recommended a first choice paint color as well as several alternatives, and that I test colors using two ounce sample paints. After our four-hour consultation, my home felt more livable and I had the blueprint for painting all the key rooms in my home. Today, several months after our initial consultation, the painting has been completed and my home has a more sophisticated, harmonious, and inviting feeling. All her colors could have worked but her top paint choice always aced it. I'm delighted with the results and wouldn't hesitate to use Nest Interior again.

I have used Anna on a number of projects in my home, color consultation inside and out, a remodel of the kitchen, living room and dinning room, a bonus room/garage conversion and my children’s bedrooms. With each project she has been able to apply her winning formula of picking a great color palette, finding those materials and furniture options that added interest and style, while interpreting our families wish list and making sure we ended up with a home we felt proud of but also comfortable in. Making a decision on so many aspects of a re-model made me nervous and worried to commit, but Anna was able to guide us through each step and make the process of purchasing something that you would be staring at every day, fun instead of scary. One of my favorite aspects of our house now is the vaulted ceiling in the living room. Weird you might think !.. But not if you saw the before and after. Anna suggested adding painted white dry wall between the wooden beams and then she added in the most amazing ceiling lights to make it a real feature. It made the whole room look light, modern and set the stage for the rest of the upgrade. She said ‘trust me’… I did …. and I couldn’t be happier.

I tend to follow my intuition and am so glad I did, when I met and then worked with Anna Stahl after finding her online. She has helped us transform the kitchen, living and family rooms in our small home to something more special than we could have ever imagined but that still feels like us. Anna has an innate ability to understand her client’s tastes and desires and translate and then elevate them to something more sophisticated with her eye for color, texture, fixtures and art. I have appreciated Anna’s sensitivity to our aesthetics, including incorporating some of our pre-existing furniture and art into the new design and coming up with little details that made her design feel like ours . I have also appreciated her awareness of our budget and her willingness to be creative in achieving the perfect design although many times our project gave her less than perfect options. Anna is a delight to work with. I highly recommend Anna Stahl Designs.

Amazing with paint selection and colors! I'm a landlord with higher-end rental properties in the east bay. I target professionals who commute to San Francisco and want more space. I've hired Anna to select exterior and interior colors and the results have been amazing. She has made a big impact with her paint selection, making a space look open, more bright, created a flow around a home and resulted in higher rents and longer term tenants. It is really quite astonishing what you can do with paint when you have the right eye. Thanks Anna.

Anna was terrific. She responded immediately to my query, showed up on time - that alone is noteworthy - and gave wonderful advice. We have a challenging space - it's small and since we just downsized, we have a lot of stuff. It wasn't like she was working from a blank slate. She had to accommodate strong colors and she had to figure out how to keep the space both sophisticated and light. Most impressive of all was her responsiveness the next day when we were putting the samples on the wall. She responded immediately to my (somewhat panicked) texts when my second and third opinion givers felt that one color was too muddy and dark. She problem-solved with me and continued to be patient with me long after I would have lost it were I in her position. Her solutions were creative and effective. The apartment looks great.

Anna Stahl has an amazing eye for design and combining colors, textures, and patterns you never would have thought to do. Her use of color is amazing. She has an amazing talent.
