We love working with Anne Roberts! We have used her services for our downtown River North residential building for over 5 years now and are always thrilled with her designs. We have four seasonal installations that go in during the beginning of each season. All of our designs have been unique but still reflect the vibe of the building! Anne is always open to feedback about what we are looking for and so helpful! We have a difficult building that has a lot of shaded areas and Anne always picks plants that will flourish and last the whole season!

As a property management professional I always appreciated the the quality of service, and work Anne and her team provided. They are very easy to work with, and have always finished on time.

I contacted Anne in April to provide a new landscape concept for our front yard (larger than most city front yards as the house is set back). She proposed a very low maintenance (which was my main request), native planting, pollinator garden - she gave me 2 different versions. On the day of work, they worked very efficiently and got it all done. It looks great so far - we will see in 3 years! For now, I am very pleased with the outcome and look forward to seeing it grow into its full potential. We have already had a lot of bees & butterflies visiting.

Anne and her team did a beautiful job with our landscaping. She completely transformed our backyard and sidewalk and we could not have been more pleased. And it all came within the budget we had planned. She listened to our needs to add some privacy via trees out back to cover an undesirable view. On our side walk she provided easy care plants as pedestrians and dogs create a bit of traffic there. We appreciated that on the day of the project she was on site and hands on all aspects of the job. The final result exceeded our expectations and we look forward to enjoying our landscape for a long time. We would collaborate on a future project with her again and would recommend her services to anyone.

Anne transformed a tired garden into a manageable lovely space. Instead of a falling down shed, I now have two raised planting beds for vegetables and herbs. My perennial beds have been cleaned out and rethought. The goutweed tamed. Anne listened to the kind of garden I was hoping for and did her best to provide that. She integrated a garden Buddha so I can see it all year round. The job was completed as soon as the rain stopped! I highly recommend Anne and her crew--very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.

We worked with Anne on designing our backyard patio and initial landscaping following a home addition/renovation that tore up a lot of our yard. She was very receptive to our ideas/requirements and had lots of suggestions on landscape and plantings that we could enjoy from inside our home, as well as in the yard. Her team was very skilled, polite, timely and respectful, and overall easy to work with. The patio installation was very professional, efficient, and on schedule. We are looking forward to working with Anne again for phase 2 of our backyard landscaping, and probably several other projects in the years to come.

Working with Anne and Alice was a wonderful experience. They were very receptive to our comments during the project of redesigning and replanting both our front and back gardens. After the initial clean-up, it remained a major overhaul. and their professionalism, extensive knowledge and patience and friendliness were definitely called upon. I really can't say enough about the work ethic and the pride that the staff of Anne Roberts Gardens takes in their work. We truly appreciated getting to know all of them and enjoyed having them work with/for us We have had so many positive comments about the new design and plantings, even now during the winter. I had such a wonderful experience with Anne Roberts Gardens. They completely transformed what my husband called a barren disaster where nothing woiuld grow to a luscious garden. My neighbors complement my new garden all of time. Glad I listened to the advice and leveraged the seasoned experience of Alice O'Laughlin. She is a landscape professional and project manager. It really is a wonderful end result. I look forward to working with Alice again and will get on her schedule for a spring spruce up!

My review is so overdue. Had health issues and never finished it. We had Anne landscape our front and back areas of our home. We have a pool and wanted to plant trees in areas that would give us more privacy. Anne put in "Rose of Sharon" which not only gave us privacy but they blossom throughout the whole summer giving us beauty and colors around the pool! Loved that idea! Since I know nothing about gardening I left it all to her imagination. I do love lots of colors and flowers with low maintenance so she put in an array of plants that bloom throughout the 3 seasons. She also does all of our flower boxes on our decks as well as maintenance! Really love it as I have no time to tend to the garden. My very favorite is my clamadis (sp?) around my light post. Every spring I look forward to seeing it. She's great to work with and has great ideas! Highly recommend her! A bit of advice. Don't expect to see much in the first couple of years especially with certain bushes and trees because it takes awhile for them to fill in. At first I thought the front looked a little sparse but Anne told me to hang in there that this would change. Sure enough everything got fuller and fragrant. Just have to leave it in the hands of the expert!

Great firm - did several jobs including a complete yard clean-up (removing overgrown vines and trees) and I had absolutely no complaints. Very professional. Highly recommend and will use again.

Anne was a pleasure to work with. She did a wonderful job of designing a delightful garden within the budget that we specified. She was very creative in adding large urns and trellises to dress up the garden section that is the first stage of our landscape plan. We have received many compliments on the beautiful garden that Anne designed and that her crew planted. Anne was very hands on with respect to the planting and she was great about follow up. We highly recommend Anne for any landscape project you are considering.
