KDL Builders

I interviewed 3 builders on the island before choosing KDL. What I wanted built was unusual design, iI am a single woman and by profession manage associations and produce big events. I am a planner and supervisor with definite design and construction opinions and have build one other home and done major remodel on another. Kent treated me with respect and worked with me thru the twists and turns of designing a big house, having the stock market crash and redesigning the house to a much smaller size and lower budget. He and his crew built my home to the highest standards of construction and workmanship. If there was a change we documented it and agreed to a cost. He delivered the agreed to house on time and on budget. When done I was so happy with the project that I added an oversized garage and at Kent's suggestion added a lovely one bedroom apartment on the 2nd story. It's been a great investment and nice to have people on the property year round,. After a year I decided I had downsized the house too much trying to meet my recession crunched budget, but now felt the living room was too small. The same architect and Kent were my first choices to design the 25% more space to add to the house. Again finished on time, on budget and spectacular space. There's no doubt I am a handful as an involved client. But Kent worked with me as questions came up, did excellent work, learned a little about building a contemporary, low allergen house and if after 3 projects we would work with each other again, given the chance, sums up a happy builder and a happy client,

Kent Ducoté was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is a great communicator, very accessible and returned texts, phone calls and emails promptly. We didn’t know the first thing about building a house and Kent was patient with us and generous with his time and professional experience to guide us through the process. He stands by the quality of his work and has been available to us with our questions long after our home was finished. We continue to value his honesty and integrity.

KDL builds a SOLID home! We had runoff, and a few other concerns with the site, and 7 yrs later the house is dry, tight, beautiful, and solid! We were living overseas at the time, so after we saw the foundation pour, we didn't see it until completion. All details were met and taken care of. It came out perfect, AND we are still good friends!
