Anne Penniman Associates LLC (APA) has been creating beautiful, sustainable and meaningful landscapes for clients, stakeholders and communities since 1991. We are a small firm of skilled landscape architects and designers who are passionate about the narratives, materials and building blocks that each unique landscape presents. We understand that landscape is a process – a multidimensional template with not only spatial and material considerations but also with temporal and seasonal considerations. APA believes that each landscape should be an expression of human memory and aspiration while enhancing ecological diversity and function. We draw our inspiration and motivation from many sources: the natural and historic context of each site, native plant communities, the local geology, the raw materials of a project, art precedents and always by our clients. We incorporate sustainable and habitat-enhancing solutions into each project and, in so doing, we strive to make the world a more beautiful place.
