My family and I are happy with everything Topaz has done for us the befores and afters are incredible. The project was completed the day they told us it would be. And communication was set as a priority. I really enjoyed working with this team Thank you all!!

The end results may generally look good, but beware of Topaz. The owner talks a big game and their pics on Houzz are amazing (even if a bit formulaic). However, we experienced numerous problems on our recent yard renovation. While there are many things we could list, we’ll be brief and share just one. Perhaps the most distressing was discovering they substituted the stone we requested and agreed to use on our front steps and withheld that information from us…it seems they tried to pull a fast one! Topaz will probably respond here saying it was the pandemic and they did their best to match, since materials we requested weren’t available. However, the point is, they didn’t tell us and acted as though everything was fine! That behavior creates an unsettling feeling and we are left wondering what else they withheld. We’ve had a working relationship with Topaz for over ten years (big projects and small), so gave them the benefit of doubt and an opportunity to make things right by swapping out the inferior stones (which looked off and didn’t match other areas of our home) for the ones we requested. However, the replacement job was even sloppier, with grouted joint lines several inches thick! We could keep going and detail the other issues too, perhaps another time…but it wouldn’t make sense to spend more time than was apparently spent planning and overseeing our project. Attention to detail used to be Topaz’s strength, but it was missing on this one, and we paid for it with our time, stress and having to jump through many hoops to get things rectified and completed….more than a year into this, we are still trying!

My Family Home exterior was well kept mostly original from 1961. It was time for a full transformation. I interviewed several professionals and visited previous work sites and current work sites. Topaz had nothing to hide and showed me who they are and what they do. Topaz sat down and discussed design. We had some ideas and Adam from Topaz truly made it extraordinary. This was a huge job with every inch of the property being removed, and every inch being installed new and fresh. Driveways, walkways, stoops, garden beds, retaining walls, patios, lawns, bushes, trees, flowers and most importantly... a full transformation of outdoor life. My family home is a relief, soothing, peaceful and when family and friends are here it's the greatest place in the world. I have no words to express how grateful and lucky we are to have had Topaz transform not just the exterior of our home, but our life as well.

We have had Topaz come to our house on two separate occasions to work on our back yard. Both jobs went off without a hitch. They built a lovely oasis that we have the pleasure of enjoying now year round. Adam and his crew are professional, courteous and responsive. Adam Jr and Michael were a delight to work with. They all worked diligently from start to finish. We have received endless compliments on the outdoor space. We highly recommend them.

It had been my wife’s dream to have a Paver Driveway. She had been saving for 12 years. We got a number of estimates, all quite expensive (for us). So in the end, feeling we had done enough shopping and realizing the job itself was just a very expensive job, we went with Topaz Design. From the initial contact with Ann Marie in the office, who always returned our calls in a timely fashion, to meeting with Adam, we just felt comfortable. Adam spent a lot of time with us, gave us references where we were able to see the fine work his team does. He took us to the warehouse to see the pavers in person and guided us towards which colors would look best with our siding. And then, above and beyond the call of duty Adam was integrally involved in helping us get a permit for a double apron, something not easy to obtain for a corner property, even sending one of his trusted employees to our house to drop off a marked up survey so we could present it to the town. The employee finished up with a polite “Thank you for choosing Topaz”. Finally, the work began, the crew was awesome and polite (it seems Adam treats his employees quite well), the work was done beautifully, and efficiently. It was started on time and finished on time. My wife is thrilled and my neighbors are all blown away. We would highly recommend Topaz Design if you are considering any kind of outdoor improvements.

We are extremely happy with the patio design and work Topaz did for us. They are true professionals proven by the excellent suggestions and commitment to the customer experience, not to mention the quality. I feel very fortunate to have come into contact with them and strongly recommend them to anyone.

What can I say. From day one Adam had a really good grasp on what I wanted to accomplish in my yard. He went over every detail giving me different options that were viable with the space we had an more importantly the Town of North Hempstead's rules. After permits came in they went right to work. Some one was working in my yard every day basically for 5 weeks. The results are nothing short of perfect. All the while Adam answering every little question and addressing every detail needed. The crew was on time stayed late when needed. they were clean and courteous. I would recommend anyone to use Topaz Design if they want hard work done right and a finished result that looks exactly like what you envisioned.

There really isn't enough praise I can give to the Topaz team. My wife and I are thrilled beyond belief at the courtesy, professionalism and eye for detail this design group brought to our home. Our backyard is literally transformed and we are so thank you we used Topaz. From the initial consult, to the nursery visit and to the final touches, Adam and Adam Jr. were simply great to work with. I'd be remiss not to mention how easy and kind Ann-Marie was in helping us get our work down in a timely fashion. We are picky people and we have no complaints. Team Topaz more than delivered a home-run for us - our backyard looks like a grand-slam and for that we are really thankful. If you want something different, something that is rather unique - call Topaz, you won't be disappointed.

What can I say? Simply put, my review would be a carbon copy of all the others that Topaz has gotten over the years. We hired Topaz to do a complete makeover of our property, front and back yards, walkways and landscaping. Simply put, the project was completed ahead of schedule and exceeded our expectations by far. We couldn't be happier. If you're looking to redo your property, get on the phone, call Ann Marie, meet with Adam and let the guys do their thing. You won't be disappointed. Adam and his team are the real deal. From the initial appointment making with Ann Marie to the consult with Adam to the actual day of reconstructing my yard, were all seamless. Adam knew exactly what we wanted by just meeting us and looking at our yard. We had weeds on steroids and unruly plants/trees all over without any knowledge of how to proceed to making it a place we would like to enjoy. Our yard has been completely transformed and we are so looking forward to spending more time outside. I am very proud to show off my yard now. I recommend Topaz highly.

Topaz design landscaping created a wonderful and beautiful backyard and front yard design for our home . After a long hard winter and living down by the water a lot of shrubbery and bushes were damaged . We had expressed our concern and without hesitation anything that was damaged had been replaced. Also to our surprise they had put in three beautiful rose bushes that just added a beautiful look to our backyard . Thank you Topaz for your professionalism and for all your hard work job well done . My husband and I used Topaz Design Group to transform our dirt yard into a beautiful entertaining oasis. After interviewing several other companies, we selected Topaz because of Adam's overall design and vision for our home. Adam and Ann Marie are easy to work with and address any and all concerns that we have immediately. The team of workers were respectful and clean. Several of our neighbors commented on how professional the guys were while working. Overall the project took about 6-8 weeks to complete. We had an outdoor kitchen, firepit, and patio installed in the backyard and plantings in both the back and front of the house. Adam included us in picking all of the materials including walking through the nursery to determine what types of plantings we liked. At the last minute we decided to move the location of the kitchen and Adam was supportive of this decision and quickly made the change. Ann Marie is extremely efficient in the office and responded in a timely manner whenever we had questions. We couldn't be happier with the finished product. Since completing the project, we have continued to remain in contact with Topaz Design Group and use them for our spring and fall clean-up. If there are ever any issues with plantings, masonry or anything else they are quick to respond and resolve the issues. We did have a few trees that didn't make it and they replaced them without question. We intend to finish the remainder of the project in the next few years and will not hesitate to call them back to do the job!

Topaz designed a backyard entertainment Center consisting of a bar, barbeque, sink and refrigerator. They did the stone work for this and installed the granite counter top that went along with this. They also installed pavers throughout my back yard. 1. Job started on schedule and workers arrived everyday on time. 2. Worked with Adam to design and pick out stonework. Always took my phone calls with any questions. 3. Office always returned phone calls. 4. Work was done professionally and anything that wasn't to my satisfaction was changed. 5. Job was coordinated so that all workers electrician, plumber were there at appropriate time to complete job. Al in all, a wonderful job.

Full landscaping (plantings, sod, etc.) Great and pleasurable to work with...really met out needs and while a bit pricey, did an excellent job and would definitely used them again. Also replanted some items that died, which was easy. very accessible via email as well....

Topaz did an extraordinary job with the landscaping, sprinklers and sod for our backyard. They took the time to review the landscaping plans in great detail, even reviewing each plant that was recommended in the plans to ensure we would be happy with the job. Once the details were finalized and a date was provided, the transformation was completed within one day. We highly recommend this company and continue to enjoy our new outdoor living space they created for our family.

When you hire a business to do a job sometimes you're unsure of what the outcome is going to be. Well let me just say that Topaz Design Group exceeded my expectations far beyond my imagination, I now have the most beautiful landscaping on the block! Everytime I look at my house I like it more and more.

If I could only use one word to describe how our house looks after Topaz Design Group finished our house project it would be, spectacular! Our project was a combination of masonry and plantings. The masonry which included the front entry stoop, front walk, driveway, side path to backyard and rear patio and entry steps started in Nov. 2012 and concluded before the onset of winter. The landscape design and installation of plantings started in May 2013 and encompassed the front yard, the side yards and the back yard. Adam spent a lot of time with us, first educating us about stone vs. pavers and providing his expertise and samples to make our decision easier but it's his knowledge of landscape design and the many varieties of plants and flowers that was most impressive. He took me on a walk-thru of a high end nursery, asked me what I liked and didn't like but basically it was about his vision of our property which he said would be beautiful and it is. A collection of shrubbery, flowers and trees that bloom at different times throughout the spring, summer and fall. We have received many compliments from family, friends and neighbors and we couldn't be happier. In one word, spectacular!

I hired this company to landscape my home. They were very professional, creative, and worked within my budget. Just as important, they listened to me regarding the types of plants and trees that I wanted. The owner created designs on the computer to show me just what the finished job would look like. In addition, the job was completed within the timeframe discussed.

Topaz created my outdoor space. Adam was wonderful. He listened. He followed my humble designs and saw my vision. He understood my likes and dislikes. He added his own amazing touches. I mean, the whole slope landscape, just gorgeous! And the rose garden, exactly what I dreamed of. Oh, the hydrangea trees are stunning. The New York Bluestone is exquisite! I could go on and on. Everything was done in the time frame given and the crew was great. Topaz does professional, quality, amazingly beautiful work.

My landscaping was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. I discussed with Adam my concept of how I would like not only replacement of 24 lost evergreens, entire lawn and numerous plants, but of also creating a calming setting for myself and family after a traumatic event. Adam listened to everything I said and came back to me with computerized renditions of what he planned for the entire property including a new water feature and gas fire pit. He discussed with me the various plantings he thought best for my soil type and location and created a design to complement the house itself. I found that Topaz scheduled start time and estimated time of completion to be accurate. Topaz created a beautiful enviroment for me on time and within budget. Upon the final completion of the project, I personnally told Adam that Topaz exceeded my expectations. I've had strangers stop and compliment the landscaping and neighbors who have contracted with Topaz after seeing the transformation of my landscaping. I highly recommend Topaz Design Group.

After severe damage to the outside of my home from Superstorm Sandy I needed extensive repairs to my walk steps planter and all my landscaping replaced. Topaz Design Group was a pleasure to work with. Totally professional reliable easy to work with and the project was completed quickly and hassle free.
