Bright and sunny days in Seattle are far and few and we knew we wanted our space to have a vibrant feel to it. Now, how does one design a space in a vibrant color without making it too jarring and simultaneously infusing it with bold characters and balancing textures? Well, that's what Anu did for us. And we were able to do all of it within the budget range that we had agreed to work with.

Anu transformed our once-empty living room and dining areas into beautiful, functional spaces that now feel like true pieces of art. This was our very first time working with an interior designer, so we weren’t sure what to expect. From the very beginning, Anu guided us with a clear, structured process that made each step of the design journey easy to follow. She took the time to understand our needs, lifestyle, and preferences, and then thoughtfully translated them into designs that were both creative and practical. What could have felt overwhelming instead became an exciting and enjoyable experience thanks to her guidance. Anu did an excellent job with the interior design of our entryway, living room, and dining room. We have a non-traditional, mid-century home and these spaces had stymied us for years. Anu helped us land on just the right layout and furniture pieces, accessories, and art. She has a keen eye for color, and our home is now more homey and vibrant. Anu helped us with our backyard renovation project. She was involved from the conception of the project to the completion. Anu listened to our requirements and came up with multiple design proposals considering all family members including our pet dog. She worked with us on finalizing the design while incorporating changes based on our feedback. The project was to modernize a main living room and master bath. The house was built in the mid 70's and desparately needed updating. Anu was fantastic to work with. She helped with design, paint selections, and furniture selections. Painting the fireplace an off white made a huge difference, lightening up the main living space. The furniture selections were top quality - worth the investment for sure. Anu was very easy to work with and communicated well. Her recommendation were well thought out. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Anu again and would certainly recommend Persimmon Design for consideration.

Another good thing was Anu herself found contractors/electricians and even coordinated with them to get all installations done. Anu is a fantastic designer to bring an upscale look to your private home interiors. She helped us with a kitchen remodel and furnishing plan for our main floor. She was fun to work with and her architectural background brought a realism to her design solutions for our kitchen.

Persimmon Design did a great job on the design for our powder room. We wanted to switch it from an old 1995 original home wallpapered look to a clean Japanese style. Anu sent us many design inspirations to vote on to get a good idea of what kind of look we liked or did not like. She then came up with a really sleek functional design with wall to wall large neutral tiling, matte black fixtures, custom made wood vanity, ceiling length shower doors, infinity drain, and gorgeous light fixtures and shelves. With a few refinements we were able to get all we desired in the budget we wanted. Anu also helped us find a contractor and worked with them closely to get the entire project done up to spec. We love our new bathroom and it was only possible due to Persimmon Design!

Our backyard while large did not have much useable space because most of it was on a hillside. The part that was flat, was covered with trees and bushes. We also had a serious issues of water logging. Anu came up with a lovely design that increased the useable space of our backyard and reduced the water logging issue as well. She also helped us find the right contractor and worked with him to implement her design. Overall we are very happy with our updated backyard

Each time, she paid detailed attention to all our aspirations and goals and made sure to incorporate them into the design. She would always provide us with a couple of design schemes to pick and choose from. She also made it easy to envision how the space would look by providing 3D views of the design. After design finalization, she ordered all the materials and products for us at trade discount prices, helped us find contractors and oversaw the construction/installation until the whole project was complete. Anu is very professional and detail oriented designer. She helped us design our living room, entryway, dining room and re-do our laundry and powder room. One thing which stood our for me was her requirement gathering was thorough and she didn't force fit her ideas rather listened to what her clients wanted. My specific example would be my love for orange color, which although was not fitting in overall schemes we narrowed, she ensured she used that colour in Sofa cushions and Seating cushions. She is currently also managing our outdoor project. I would recommend her for any project indoor and outdoor.
