Our design vocabulary covers a diverse range of styles, from Traditional to Contemporary West Coast Architecture, and we incorporate passion, creativity, and classic design principals into every project. Integrated Design We believe exceptional architecture emerges when structures, interiors, and landscapes are conceived as a whole. At Blackwell Architecture, the boundaries between disciplines are intentionally blurred to create cohesive and immersive environments. Whether delivered in-house or in close collaboration with specialist consultants, our integrated design approach ensures a consistent vision across all scales and phases of the design process, resulting in architecture that is deeply connected to its site and precisely aligned with each client's lifestyle, operational needs, and vision. Big or Small We specialize in luxury custom homes and boutique commercial projects, and we welcome projects of varying size and complexity. From private residences to refined commercial spaces, every commission receives the same level of personal attention, creativity and oversight. As a smaller, family-owned firm, we pride ourselves in approaching every project with individualized care from start to finish. Concept to Completion As a full-service architectural practice based in Vancouver, BC, we provide comprehensive services from initial concept through construction to completion. Acting as the design lead, we guide clients through a clear and highly managed process designed to be efficient, collaborative and stress-free. Location Our studio is located in the historic Mercantile Building adjacent to Gastown, Vancouver, British Columbia. Though based centrally in Vancouver, we design and deliver projects throughout Greater Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and Whistler areas, working with clients who value thoughtful design, discretion and architectural excellence.
