*** WARNING. Do not hire this company. *** We paid them $600 to provide a complete 3D design and finalized cost they refused to complete the work or refund our money. Series of events: 1. We had them at our home 2. They provided a free cost estimate 3. We liked the estimate and discussed next steps. They informed us it’s to pay $600 to get a completed design. We asked them point blank if paying for the design is going to provide us a complete/finalized design and that it does not require us to move forward with this business. They said yes we will be provided a complete and finalized design and no we will not be required to contract with this business 4. We payed $600 and entered the design phase 5. During the first review of our design we provided them with defects in the design based on the specifications provided and new requests we wanted to add. We were told we would be provided the complete and accurate designs with the defects corrected and the new requests added. 6. They provided a second design iteration which also had design defects which do not align with or meet our original requests. They had failed to incorporate the additional asks which were told would be provided 7. During the design review phase we aligned this business isn’t an appropriate service partner for us to contract to build due to concerns we had with their contract regarding payment scheduling, accountability for damaging our personal property, and potential for cost increases. 8. We requested they finalized design plan which had already been paid for. 9. This business, as a result of us not choosing to pay the $10K+ non-refundable to move to the next phase, is refusing to complete the designs we have already paid for.

Bobby and Deanna and the crew were absolutely amazing to work with. They took my 2D drawing and brought it to life from the ground up! From the initial consultation to the 3D design meeting before starting construction, their attention to detail throughout our entire project was beyond our expectations. We have gone through three other contractors previously for other work on our home, and none have even close to the service we were provided by BBL. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to improve their backyard living!

We recently hired Beautiful Backyard Living to build a patio cover for our backyard and had a fantastic experience. From the initial consultation to the design phase to the completion of the construction, we felt like we received the best service. The three things that set this company apart is the professionalism, communication and quality of work. Bobby, the owner, was always an email or phone call away and we never felt “out of the loop”. He was onsite every day and he thoroughly inspected each phase of the build. When you’re typically a do-it-yourself homeowner, the attention to detail during the construction was appreciated. As an added bonus, this company uses a very detailed design software that allows you to see your completed project before the construction begins, as well as an app for the homeowner to view all facets of the project from the schedule to change orders to invoices. We cannot say enough good things about Bobby and the wonderful team at Beautiful Backyard Living. We had a pergola and outdoor grill/bar built and it looked great once they completed the project but now that we’ve had a few weeks to enjoy it, it’s even better than we imagined! The entire team (construction, electrical and plumbing) were all very professional and courteous. Bobby was exceptional when it came to the details, he checked in with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy. He also personally corrected a few minor issues that popped up unexpectantly throughout the project which really left a great impression on us. I would recommend this company to my family and closest friends (I already have since we’ve received so many compliments on our new addition!) and I hope to work with them on future projects.

When we decided to invest in an outdoor living space we consulted with three different contractors. Once we completed our initial consultation with Beautiful Backyard Living, we knew and were confident that they were the ones to not only build, but create an outdoor living area that we would utilize and enjoy day in and day out. They far exceeded our expectations. The owners/project managers were there each day to ensure our patio/living area was built per the design. They guided us through the process from roofing, concrete, inspections, electrical, stain, etc. In walking through each days work, I was highly impressed with the knowledge, skill and talent they conveyed. Awarded by Houzz for their service and Readers Choice for Best of Living, Beautiful Backyard Living is well deserving of these acclamades. They are the best in the DFW area.

Bobby Cravens and BBL LLC did a wonderful job from designing what our new patio roof could be in supporting our pool and outdoor living space all the way through to completion. Bobby's professionalism and approach from start to finish that "you need to love it" when we are done is infectious. As with any "project" even when the unexpected occurred or something did not go exactly as planned the team through Bobby's leadership and knowledge worked to insure the final product was exactly as envisioned. If you are thinking about outdoor patio, roof or backyard living improvements you should give Bobby a call!

The professionalism of Beautiful Backyard Living and specially Bobby Cravens exceeds all expectations. Bobby's hands on delivery of his products is the best I have ever experienced. When every I had a concern or question he was very prompt in responding and gave answers I could understand. The new covered patio blends with our home as if the house was built that that way. This was our main desire of the effect we were looking for and Bobby delivered beyond our expectations. I have no reservation in using Bobby Cravens on future projects.

So I had Austin and three other highly recommended contractors come out and give me estimates on building a patio cover and outdoor kitchen. The first thing that impressed me was the amount of time and detailed questions he had for me, whereas the others just took measurements and asked if I had anything specific in mind that I wanted. When I got back all of the bids, the time and attention Austin put into designing the addition was amazing, not only was it so much more than I expected, it proved he had listened and understood what I was really looking for. After some easy negotiations we finalized the details and design and got the materials ordered. I had a really big event I was throwing and was hoping to have the work done before my annual crawfish boil, so when I told Austin and Bobby about it, they said they would get back to me with the schedule for the work. I'm not sure what they did but needless to say they got me on the schedule in an attempt to make my date. Construction took about 3 weeks with a couple of small issues and some weather but no matter what came up, Austin was on site dealing with the contractors to make sure things were exactly as they should be. Don't mistake his youthful appearance for not knowing what he is doing, he handle a team of about 15 workers and got them moving the way he wanted things to go. They did all of the demo, foundation, stone work, woodwork and roofing and every detail is exactly as planned and expected. In the end the project finished a week before the party and I have to say I was stunned at how awesome the final product turned out. Everyone that sees it thinks is it incredible and completely transforms my house into a place to have a perfect party. I was so impressed and happy that I even invited the entire Beautiful Backyard Living family to the party and let's just say they are as good to hang out with in person as they are to work with on a project. The next time I have work to be done around the house, I guarantee I know who to call and won't think twice about signing up with them for more projects. Best experience I have ever had with a contractor for sure. If you have work to be done, do yourself a favor and give them a call, I will always be a reference if they want it.

Bobby Cravens and team did a wonderful job with our Outdoor Kitchen. The workmanship was phenomenal and they helped us transform our backyard into an outdoor retreat. Very professional and prompt throughout the entire project. Took the time to address all of our questions and concerns. We couldn't be happier with the work they did! Update: 6months later and we brought Bobby & team back to do more work for us! This time they re-did our fireplace and installed a barn door in our master bathroom. Once again, expectation were exceeded and the work done was incredible! We will continue to use them for future projects.
