I can’t say enough good things about Avissa and her incredible work on our 3 bedroom apartment in the UWS. From the very first consultation, she brought clarity, creativity, and a true sense of partnership to the project. She took the time to understand how our family lives, what we value, and where the home wasn’t working for us — and then delivered a design that completely transformed our space. Every room now feels intentional and beautifully cohesive. She maximized natural light, improved the flow, and introduced design elements we never would have thought of on our own. The balance between functionality and high-end aesthetic is perfect. Her communication was smooth, timelines were clear, and she handled the entire process with professionalism and grace. Walking through our home now genuinely feels like stepping into a magazine. We’re beyond thrilled with the result and incredibly grateful for her expertise. 5 Stars My first experience working with Avissa was on my apartment on the Upper West Side, and that project alone made me realize how exceptional she is as a designer. She brought clarity, beauty, and function to every corner of the space. From that point forward, she has become a trusted partner on much larger, more complex projects. Most recently, she helped develop the full design proposal for a new 20-residence development site. She outlined the complete entry design package, built a beautifully structured presentation, and ensured every detail—from floor plans to moodboards to renderings—was cohesive and polished. She created an easy-to-understand comparison graph of design-package costs, which became instrumental in communicating value to buyers. Beyond design, she helped shape the copy throughout the presentation, making the entire story clear, strategic, and buyer-focused. We are now working together on building a website that will showcase and deliver these design services through the builder. Her creativity, professionalism, and ability to elevate both residential design and large-scale development work make her an invaluable partner. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Avissa has helped completely transform my apartment!! She did an in-person consultation with me and helped me conceptualize and visualize what a few changes would do to really optimize my space and polish off the look and vibe. We had quite a devil of a time selling our house - it sat on the market and we realized it was time to get some expert help. Avissa came in and transformed it into a showpiece. People coming to see the house started using phrases like “I was floored by this house” and the eventual buyer raved about the updates we made and they could see moving right in and being happy. Most importantly Avissa is not only extremely talented, she is ridiculously easy to work with. So easy that we bought a fixer upper because we knew we could pull that off with her in our life. Avissa is a stellar designer with the right attitude and fresh ideas. We hired her as one of the Art Directors on the hit HGTV show Property Brother's: Buying + Selling. She worked closely with Jonathan Scott to execute 2 stunning remodels that added a ton of value to each home. She rolls with the punches and listens to what the client wants but she also has a clear vision to help put together a cohesive look that everyone (including the Property Brothers) was very impressed with. Can't wait to work with Avissa again!!

Avissa led our design efforts in our new home. She worked with our existing idea's and furniture that we have collected over the years to create exactly the look we wanted. We also took advantage of her access to some very unique handmade rugs and vintage furniture. She was especially good at giving each space the final accessory touch to bring it all together. Most import to us of all, was her excellent level of communication, attention to detail and a fantastic sense of humor!

After months and months of trying to sell our home with no success, we decided to try a new approach and bring some style and flare back into the place. Luckily we were put in touch with Avissa through family friends and gosh what a difference good staging will do! She went room by room until the whole house had a great flow. She found beautiful oriental rugs, brought in her own designer pillows, added handmade window treatments, and supplied amazing pieces of furniture. The response was unbelievable! Avissa has a great eye for detail and it is so fabulous to see the passion behind her work. We can't recommend her enough. Thank You Avissa!

Avissa's, designs are out of this world! I found her to be very detailed, making sure that every thing about the space flowed, from architecture to interiors, down to rugs, pillows and the right furniture for the space. Our flooring was just one aspect of the whole design and she made it all come together, beautifully. She is a pleasure to work with, professional, responsive and passionate about her work. We bought a new build and found that it lacked warmth and character. We hired Avissa to work with us on bringing our living room, dining room and great room to life. We couldn't be more pleased. In our case, she was able to straddle the home's contemporary lines with warmth. She found beautiful vintage Finn Juhl chairs that we had recovered in a gorgeous mohair fabric for the dining room. In our great room, she took some photos that we had taken of our children and was able to display them in a way that was fun but not kitschy. Working with Avissa was a true pleasure. She really listened to me as her client and the process felt like a conversation, where she pushed me to consider elements outside of my comfort zone and where I felt comfortable saying no in certain circumstances. She was considerate of our budget and was able to find some good deals along the way. I couldn't be happier with the outcome!

We hired Avissa Mojtahedi to help us with designing the interior of our custom built home. Overall, she did an outstanding job which included designing the kitchen, bathrooms and other finishes as well as the décor (including furniture pieces & window treatments). She also provided excellent advice on some of the exterior elements. The end product was stunning and turned out way beyond our expectations. Not only did she provide excellent customer service at all times, she was extremely professional, flexible, thorough and attentive to every last detail. Her architectural background coupled with her superior interior design skills was key to successfully executing the project. She understood what we required and always kept within our budget and timelines which made the process so much smoother. Her classic design sense worked wonders and we’re confident that our choices whether kitchen cabinets, tiling or furniture, are timeless.
