We cannot provide adequate words to describe the incredible masterpiece that Andrew and his team created and provided for us. We built a new home in South Berkshires and Andrew created a landscape that surpassed our expectations beyond belief. Our own property feels like a dreamscape to us, and every neighbor who passes by stops and swoons at the stunning beauty. It is as though our home is a neighborhood attraction! It is beyond words and even photos cannot adequately convey the perfection of how he designed a layout that continues to stun us, year after year. In short, it could not be more beautiful than it is. Andrew Zema designed and installed our Japanese garden, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. He brings both deep knowledge and genuine passion for Japanese garden design, which really shows in his work. Throughout the project he paid careful attention to detail and approached the installation with a lot of care. What we especially appreciated was that he balanced aesthetics with practical considerations—thinking about how the garden would function and evolve over time, not just how it would look on day one. My husband and I can't give an adequately glowing recommendation for Andrew Zema. He designed and installed a massive landscaping project for us in 2023 and has maintained it ever since. We had a failed installation by a different contractor that required a complete overhaul of the landscape and hardscape. That included extensive drainage rework, reinstalling a retaining wall, staircase and part of a pool patio and gazebo area, and installation of an irrigation system . Andrew designed an amazingly unique and extensive botanical garden-like setting with hundreds of plant varieties that exactly fulfilled our specific goals. Our gardens provide year round beauty and are unlike anything we've seen anywhere. We have a unique rock fountain, a large variety of boulders, outdoor lighting, etc and it's all composed with unparalleled artistry and excellence. Andrew is a pleasure to work with, he listens, he is punctual and reliable, his integrity is obvious, and his team of workers are wonderful and have an amazing work ethic. We have had a lot of experience with landscapers, most of it disappointing to some degree, but Andrew is different from everyone. He has extensive technical and horticultural knowledge and experience combined with unique artistry, along with hands-on oversight as a business owner. You won't find this elsewhere. He educated us and has provided excellent care of our landscape since installation to keep it in mint condition. Since 2023 it's gotten even better to see Andrew's gardens mature, and our grounds provide us enormous joy. We appreciate his work so much !

Superb Goshen stone work to create paths and walkways through garden. The stone patio provides a wonderful area for outside dining etc. Selection of perennial flowers created a tapestry/palate of wonderful colors, various foliage and different sizes of plants that thrived in the wise positioning that Andrew executed. The gardens started blooming in early spring and continued until killing frost. In the spring Andrew's crews did wonderful job pruning, mulching, weeding and fertilizing . Zema Landscaping is one of the best organizations I have ever encountered. Reliable, honest, and eager to please. We couldn't be more happy to recommend Andrew Zema.

We hired Andrew after receiving strong recommendations by several neighbors. Three garden plots at our home were in need of a complete overhaul. The project has been a complete success, and we now have lovely gardens which have improved the appearance of our home immensely! Andrew is a pleasure to work with, as are his employees. He takes great pride in his work and ensures the plantings he installs are in superb health. My gardening skills are very limited, and Andrew was incredibly patient with all of my questions. We were very impressed with not only the ideas Andrew put forth but the work ethic of his men. These men worked the entire time they were on the property taking a short lunch break. We had a total relandscape of our yard. Boulders needed to be removed, drainage needed to be put in, stairs and patio installed with night lighting. Planting of a livingscape around the patio and we asked them if they would continue their work on the other side of our property. The men did so and at any time you spoke with them, a smile on their faces. We had them back the following year to redesign our bluff and the following year to work on the border of our property planting items that would do well here in the Berkshires yet not be something you could find just anywhere. We have had many neighbors come and tell us how beautiful all our plantings and patio area are. We are extremely happy with Andrew Zema’s Landscaping and highly recommend them.

Andy Zema and his crew are the embodiment of old school work ethic and craftsmanship, it was a pleasure working with him in the planning and implementation of those plans. Andrew did several projects for me including a Japanese Garden. From the first time we met I was impressed by both his professional knowledge and his interest in finding out what I was looking for ( He did not come with an agenda he wanted to impose on me even though i was a novice at landscaping). He was always reliable (on the schedule we had worked out), flexible and accommodating (when i wanted to spread out one of the projects over two seasons), and always ready to promptly answer any questions. In short he is super-competent, very professional and reliable, and a delight to work with . I highly recommend him without any reservations.

Andrew Zema and his exceptional crew did a remarkable job of completely renovating the dilapidated pool patio, ajoining water feature and hillside garden at our log home. Starting with our many preliminary talks and extending to the final day on the project, Andrew was always intent on understanding and fulfilling our vision while giving us the full benefit of his extensive knowledge, experience and gift for design. Even before the first of the goshen stones was laid, the quality of Andrew's work and his work ethic were plain to see as he meticulously figured out how to accommodate the complex grading and drainage challenges our job presented. (BTW his solutions have been put to the test with great results.) Each succeeding stage of work was carried out by Andrew and his crew with that same attention to detail, great craftsmanship, thoroughness and amazing ingenuity – each "surprise" was met with know-how and confidence that spared us the aggravation of complications. We could not have hoped to undertake this big, important project with a kinder, more considerate individual than Andrew Zema nor could we have had a more pleasant, helpful and trustworthy team of craftsmen on the job each day. Together, they created a beautiful transformation of our property that went well beyond our expectations. By signing on with Andrew we got the best in the landscaping business.

Andrew did several projects for us and did a fabulous job. These included reshaping and contouring land with fill, bringing in topsoil and planting a large lawn, creating several drainage swales, shaping and planting over 100 plants on a back hill each with individual irrigation, and more. Very professional, all work as agreed upon, perfect cleanup, polite professional crew. Andrew is not cheap, but like with most things you get what you pay for. He is well worth the price if you want the job done once, right. Sorry about the anonymous; just don't want my name in the lights.

Andrew Zema’s Landscaping has performed a variety of landscaping enhancements to my property over the last seven (7) years. The projects that Andrew and his crew have performed include; building a beautiful Goshen Stone walkway with stairs for the approach to the front of my house, and, a large Goshen Stone patio with stairs for my backyard, with Sedum plantings, and just recently added three (3) River Birch trees surrounding the patio. The stone designs they make are cleverly done with various cuts, strategically measuring and leveling each stone placement so that the finished product is done to perfection. They also installed an Estate Rail fence to accent the patio. Andrew has also planted additional trees on my property which includes: twenty-four (24) Techny Arborvitaes, a Korean Sun Pear, and recently added a Purple Prince Flowering Crabapple Tree, and a Dwarf River Birch. Andrew and his crews’ attention to the detail of the installation of the trees with the addition of the appropriate amendments and mulching, always has made the whole experience seamless. He and his crew have also installed storm drains perfectly to eliminate Spring run-off across my back and front lawn. In addition, his crew recently designed and planted two (2) very large areas with pachysandra in shady areas of my lawn where grass would not grow. He also has done an excellent job of pruning a variety of trees/shrubs on my property to keep the plants healthy. Andrew’s crew just recently installed a beautiful 14 foot Canaan Fir at the First Congregational Church Park in Lee, MA. People in the Lee church and community residents are so pleased to now have a perfectly shaped tree for future events in the park. Andrew and his crew have always done a very meticulous job on each project they have performed at my residence, and most recently, at the Lee Church Park. Andrew has excellent suggestions to enhance the outcome of the projects I have had done. My experiences with Andrew and his crew have always been very positive. Andrew is very personable. He is extremely knowledgeable of various landscaping techniques and the best planting selections for your project; and, all at a very reasonable price. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with Andrew and his outstanding landscaping team.” I strongly recommend his landscaping services; you will be thrilled with the outcome.

It was immediately apparent after meeting Andrew that we wanted to work with him for our Japanese Garden installation. His knowledge of the Berkshires and the plants that work well here is unparalleled. His understanding of practical and beautiful garden design is exceptional. His own work, and that of his team is of the highest possible standard. During the installation, we watched Andrew spend 20 minutes find the perfect placement for a large rock - we didn't understand what the fuss was about - now we realize that that rock serves as a seat for us within the garden and provides a spectacular view of the pond and waterfalls. Our garden is an oasis that brings joy whenever we see it. Uniquely, immediately after finishing the garden it looked like it had always been there - which over the past four years has only become more beautiful. I cannot recommend Andrew and his team highly enough. It is a decision that you will not live to regret.
