About Us

We are a family business that designs, fabricates, and hand-finishes furniture from reclaimed wood and new wood. We ship all over the USA. Spanning three generations our business takes in the energy of our farm as well as the community in which we live and work. Along with numerous next of kin and friends, the company works with many local and talented craftsmen that come from generations of hard working ethics. Striving to bring the collective and primitive spirit of our surroundings into every finished product, we take great care and pride in each piece we build and finish. From the very beginning we have been an eco-friendly, green, and sustainable business. Using reclaimed barn wood to fabricate the furniture and finishing the pieces with natural products such as Tung Oil and Milk Paint, our objective is to minimize the company’s ecological footprint. Each piece is hand-crafted and hand-finished. The turnaround time from a placed order to delivery is approximately 8 to 14 weeks. We welcome custom built pieces and enjoy designing them. If you have an idea we can build it! We are up for any design and fabrication challenge. Thank you for visiting our site. We hope to handcraft a forever piece of furniture for you that holds it’s beauty and value for years to come. The reclaimed wood used in our pieces tell the story of American heritage and history. We are so very proud and excited to take part of sustaining our country’s great agricultural history and transforming old barn boards into new heirloom pieces for your home. You are welcome to come visit us and witness our craft in person. The design studio, workshop, and office are found on our family farm in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

I can't say enough about the process and the final product! We found Furniture from the Barn on the internet and needed to get a custom table for our home on St. Simons Island in Georgia. I gave Kelly the unique dimensions of what I was looking for and she helped me find the style that best fit our home. Since we were about 900 miles away, she asked for very detailed pictures and video of what our home looked like. She took a lot of time to design what would work best. I had an idea of matching the wood color to the floors, but that's when her interior designer talents came in. She recommended something that I had never thought of to bring out the colors and "feel" of the whole room. She truly has a passion for making things look absolutely beatiful. As we proceeded, I decided to ask for a side table as well, and again she amazed me with recommendations of color and style. We had a deadline that at first she told me that she wasn't 100% sure that they could meet. At the end of the day, our furniture was delivered on time and was of a quality that even exceeded my high expectations. Even though it has only been a month, we have recieved tremndous compliments from everyone who has seen the furniture. I can't recommend Kelly enough and when we remodel our home next year, I plan on filling a lot of our new furniture with her and her wonderful craftsmen.

The Barn was a delight to work with! Collectively we designed and they did an amazing job at building a custom hall tree. It stands in my foyer and gets lots of oohs and awws. Folks really love it! It's also incredibly well made and you can tell the pride of craftsmanship that went into every aspect of this endearing piece of furniture!

Dear Kelly, Michael, and Team…. We got our table delivered tonight and it is just truly amazing. We moved into this house a year and a half ago, from a tiny row home in the city, to a big house in the suburbs. I had three things on my immediate “move-in” wish list- one being a great big table to create wonderful family memories. Needless to say the search took a long, long, time and I was just about to settle for an “ordinary” table- when luckily my husband found your company. You listened to what we wanted, you were patient with my ridiculous details, and took the concept picture we had and made it even better than we could ever imagine. The table base is exactly what I wanted. The proportions are perfect. Each plank of the wood top has such incredible, unique character, yet the way you put them together is seamless. Andy loves the worm holes and the charm of the reclaimed Chestnut wood. I love absolutely everything about this table, and its silly, but I really love grain of the angled pieces of the table base. Please tell your team that their efforts are much appreciated, respected, and that all of you have provided my family with an amazing piece of furniture that will be creating memories for a lifetime. We worked with Kelly and her team to design a wine buffet for our new home. They were incredibly receptive to our needs and created a custom piece that fits perfectly in the intended space in our home. They executed on exactly what we had envisioned, were very communicative throughout the build process, and worked directly with vendors to obtain hardware, paints, etc. This is a one of a kind business that I'd recommend to anyone looking to design a custom piece of furniture.

We ordered a custom table and bench from Furniture From The Barn and absolutely LOVE it! Kelly was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in designing the perfect table for our house. I was having trouble deciding on the length of the table as well as the type of trestle and Kelly gave me great feedback and advice. The table has become a wonderful gathering place in our house and knowing it was handcrafted makes it even better. Below is an email I sent after receiving our table and well. To me it says everything. Hi Kelly, I wanted to let you know that we love our table and bench!! They are beautiful and fit the room perfectly. I also love knowing they are from a Mennonite dairy farm! Thank you so much for all of your help. Everything from coming to your shop, meeting you, and choosing the table to picking it up was a wonderful experience. All of which make the table and bench that much more special!

Love! Love! My individual pieces of beautifully made art. I say art because each piece of furniture is handsome in its own unique way. I have a accumulated a collection of a bed, desk, end tables, and a small breakfast table. Each piece was made to suit my very specific wants, and all at a affordable price too!! Love this company!

We commissioned three pieces for two separate home renovations, and in each case, the work turned out beautifully. Kelly is really pleasant to work with, and they seem truly excited to either help bring to life custom designs they haven't done before, or create tried and true farmhouse "staples" from their repertoire. The first job was a rustic contemporary mini farm table style vanity for a vessle sink in a powder room. The measurements needed to be exact for this tiny room and they totally nailed it. The second job was a custom length 6-seater farm table for a family who craves elbo room and needed a material that could hold up to kids banging toys on it. The third job was customizing their standard armoire into a his-and-hers bathroom armoire meant to go between two pedestal sinks. In this case, they had to reconfigure the doors to open toward the sink with the hinges and joints in the middle. Again -- this came out exactly as we envisioned it, and ahead of schedule.
