About Us

Cabinet Designs LLC is an awarding winning fully custom cabinet company serving the Kansas City metro area and northwest MO. Our clients keep coming back for our high quality finishes, our expert installation, and our high quality cabinetry. Nobody does it better! Just ask our customers! Brian Dirks, owner of Cabinet Designs LLC, began his business in 2003 after several years in the furniture industry. Brian was responsible for managing the finishing shop, delivering high quality Mennonite and Amish furniture, and making sure the customers of his father's furniture company were extremely pleased with their new furniture! With this in mind, Brian is carrying on that legacy by providing high quality furniture grade cabinetry to customers who want cabinetry they are pleased with every time they walk into the room. Just ask Ellen, for whom we recently completed a full set of kitchen and living area cabinetry for. She recently told us every time she walks out of her room, she is amazed and pleased all over again. Let's do the same for you!

From the design process through installation, Brian of Cabinet Designs LLC was a pleasure to work with. We love our custom cabinets thanks to his quality craftsmanship and materials. The project was on time and on budget. We give Brian and his work our highest recommendation!

Brian takes the time to do the job right, uses quality materials and craftsmanship, and pays close attention to all of the details. He did a beautiful job in our kitchen, then came back 5 years later and built bathroom vanities. I would highly recomend Cabinet Designs!

Brian Dirks (owner and proprietor of Cabinet Designs LLC) is exceptionally intelligent, has impeccable ethics and has a great artistic sense that he uses well designing and building cabinets. He is a joy to work with. His workmanship and personal agreeableness exceeded my expectations. He helped design and built kitchen cabinets, some of them over a stair well, bathroom cabinets and book shelves and an electronics cabinet with storage for an LP collection as well as DVDs and CDs for my living room. I totally trust him and his judgement. I am so very glad that he worked for me and with me. He worked with me on an older house that I remodeled. Sprayed finishes on the cabints have held up extremely well and leave nothing to be desired.

We remodeled our kitchen and had custom cabinets built for it. Everything was customized specifically for our kitchen. It's absolutely beautiful! Brian's attention to detail is unmatched.

Not only did Brian make and install beautiful, functional, solid, well-made cabinets, but he was wonderful to work with. He was part of the design process, working with me and the kitchen designer to help us get the best plan and to understand what we wanted. He finished the cabinets on time, and on budget. During the install phase, there were a few unexpected hurdles (e.g. the stove gas line was in a different place then designed) and Brian problem-solved to accommodate those issues seemingly effortlessly, and certainly with a positive "can-do" attitude. I would 100% recommend Brian!

Brian Dirks at Cabinet Designs provided the service and quality of workmanship to which he agreed in his contract. As a family of four, we have been using the kitchen cabinets daily that he built for us two years ago. In almost every way they look as new today as they did then. We have had two issues with water/humidity around the dishwasher and he has been out to repair/solve the problem. We would gladly use him again.

Brian at Cabinet Designs LLC has built kitchen cabinetry, a free-standing buffet/hutch, mud room cabinets and bench, bookshelves, fireplace surround and mantle and bathroom cabinetry in our home over the last several years. Obviously, we are pleased with his work and would recommend him to anyone looking for dependable, high quality cabinetry.

We worked with Brian to design, build and install our BEAUTIFUL cherry cabinets. His experience and suggestions helped us on functionality and optimization of space usage. He expertly matched the finished stain to a buffet we owned. The finish on the wood cabinets is gorgeous. In addition, we had the island cabinets painted. Brian uses a catalytic process that embeds the paint to give a smooth, wipeable, lasting finish. The cabinet hardware is terrific - softclose doors and drawers with adjustable drawers and shelves. We would highly recommend his work to anyone desirous of the highest quality cabinetry in their home or elsewhere.

This is the company to choose providing you want HIGH QUALITY CABINETRY, timely service & smooth communication! Brian is very easy to talk with. We experienced first hand that he was able to guide us when we weren't sure on some details & follow our lead on things we knew we wanted. The price was exactly what we were quoted. They were installed well. A few months after installation, we asked for a change. We had an under counter trashcan cupboard that we didn't use so we called Brian to see if we could change to be another regular cabinet (with slide out shelves). No problem, he called us when he knew he would be back in our area & took care of it. Our project was not a common one, we had white uppers & natural cherry on the lower cabinets. Our kitchen turned out so beautiful.
