Gretchen Neels – Owner, Bedside Retreat When it comes to color, proportion, textiles and design, Gretchen Neels has an exceptional eye. As the only design professional in St. Petersburg to focus solely on bedrooms, her projects range from couture to casual, classic to modern, but plans always center around great sleep and Florida’s unique climate. In addition to first-rate design, Gretchen is serious about customer service. This means lots of communication, managing client expectations, and finishing on time and within budget. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s prestigious School of the Arts, Gretchen has applied her considerable understanding of color theory and aesthetics in many roles, including personal stylist for Nordstrom, and custom menswear consultant with J.Hilburn. After years of advising friends and family on their interior design choices, she now shares her expertise with those in the Tampa Bay area looking to transform their sleeping quarters into sanctuaries.
