Bernhardt’s is amazing! Our house had a 1980’s kitchen that was sorely in need of updating. Our neighbors had a new kitchen installed by Bernhardt’s last fall and highly recommended them to us. They worked with Trinh as their designer, and raved about her work, so we decided to follow up with her. From start to finish, Trinh was a pleasure to work with. Her background and experience in design helped guide us through the planning stages, including the selection of cabinets, flooring, countertops, tile, and hardware. She listened to our wish list and worked within our budget to design a kitchen that checked all the boxes. Trinh was especially astute at helping us with color choices and cabinet choices that made our new kitchen more ergonomically functional. Her attention to detail and excellent communication throughout the project helped instill confidence in Bernhardt’s from day one. The computer-generated images she provided allowed us to see what the final design would look like when finished. We really appreciated the convenience of Bernhardt’s remodel center that allowed us to pick out everything in one location, except for appliances. Their selection is extensive, allowing us to look at samples side-by-side to coordinate colors and materials. Our project began on the exact date projected several months in advance and was completed on time and on budget. Todd, the owner, was on site the first day and checked in regularly throughout the 4-week project. We can’t say enough about Bernhardt’s work crew, especially Royce, Jackson, and Todd’s son who did all of the electrical work. They began at 7:30 each morning and worked non-stop throughout the day. Their work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail were impeccable. They were easy to talk to, asked for our input as needed, and left the job site clean at the end of each day. The outcome exceeded our expectations going into the project. We highly recommend Bernhardt’s to anyone looking to remodel their kitchen!

Bernhardt's is a highly professional, efficient and skillful company, They are extremely friendly and customer-oriented. Sarah Brown spends a lot of time discussing the design, doesn't mind stopping by the house as many times as necessary to make sure the customers are happy with their decisions. Everyone is highly qualified and delivers results in a timely manner.

From start to finish, my experience with Todd and his team at Bernhardts has been top notch. I have been in my home for over a month and couldn't be happier. Seeking a complete kitchen remodel, we worked with Sarah to plan our project. She designed a very workable space for us and helped us pick out specific design elements. The work crew was extraordinarily professional. They made sure the working space was kept tidy. Todd, the owner, provided addional oversight and guidance. We are more than thrilled with our new kitchen!

Always very professional, willing to finish off DIY projects that need some expert help, upfront about hourly costs, never make me feel terrible to choosing the more difficult way of doing things (when it is the best way to do it!), and they clean up and leave things ready-to-use when they leave. Not the cheapest folks around, but not at all unreasonable for the great job they do.

Excellent job from start to finish. First-class design work. Once project began, they showed up every single day until complete. Left jobsite very clean every evening. Bernhardt’s transformed our highly dysfunctional kitchen into a kitchen that is a pure joy to work in! Not only were the results amazing, but they made the renovations easy from beginning to end. Sara, our designer, patiently worked with us and ultimately created a beautiful and practical kitchen design. Todd’s crew then “effortlessly” made Sara’s design come to life. To our surprise, renovations began ahead of schedule, under estimate, and finished within the time allotted. They worked like a well-oiled machine – their workmanship was flawless, well organized and disciplined throughout the renovations, despite extremely hot weather. Not only did they keep us updated and addressed our concerns on a daily basis, but always cleaned up after a day’s work. Todd Kozakowski and his team exemplify the very best in contracting and construction. He coordinated seamlessly with our architect and every aspect of the project was reviewed and prepped well ahead of breaking ground. Our project began last November, when we had to take down my grandparents' 1837 farm house (plus two additions) and rebuild from the foundation up. My family and I live in Chicago during the winter months, so we had to rely on periodic visits and regular phone conversations. Todd and his team worked tirelessly and efficiently to realize the plans we had made. The house became everything we had hoped for and on several occasions Todd was able to anticipate changes that improved the designs. We moved in on July 11th. The punch list was entirely manageable and his guys even came to help me put together some of the new furniture! I would recommend Bernhardts for any and every building project.

It was a wonderful experience working with Sara at Bernhardts to remodel my kitchen and bathrooms. I have never done this before and it was a little overwhelming considering all the beautiful choices and options at Bernhardts. I soon got over that once I started working with Sara. Because of her experience in remodeling and discerning eye for design she was able to guide and assist me in making the right choices for my home. Sara is quick study at understanding what her customer is looking for because she listens, asks questions, offers suggestions and the why this will work and maybe not that, while remaining focused on attaining the customers desired end result.

Sara Brown, the Designer, greeted us with a gracious smile when we walked through the door at Bernhardt's. Sara was professional and very knowledgeable as she assisted us in the process of having our kitchen remodeled. After talking with us about our needs, Sara drew a plan showing ways to maximize space as well as provide a flow that would work best for us. We were delighted with her ideas and went ahead with the floor plan exactly as presented to us. We talked about the time frame in which the remodel would be started and completed. Within a few days we received a complete floor plan, estimate and details on when the job could be started. From beginning to end, Sara was easily accessible should we have questions. The kitchen was completed on time and we could not be happier with the choices made with Sara's help.

We spent 6 months looking for ideas for our kitchen but just couldn't find what we wanted. After waiting months for other designers to come up with a plan, we walked into Berhardt's Remodeling Center and found exactly what we wanted. Sara led us through the expansive showroom; my wife picked out the items and colors for cabinets, flooring, and accessories right on the spot. Sara found a way to fit in everything into the available space, plus accommodate our desire for a large window for a grand view of the lake. Todd and his crew kept us informed over long distances and leaped us make some small changes/ enhancements we had not considered. The results are fantastic! We are already planning our next project to redo the bathrooms.

Really great to work with! Sara was patient and creative in designing a kitchen island. Work was scheduled to our convenience, and clean up was meticulous every day. The whole job was completed in about 8 days. Kitchen countertop, island, range and hood install, some tiling and a bit of cabinetry work. Really happy with the outcome and would use them again.
