We hired Bistany Design to help us in all aspects of a kitchen and Master Bath remodel. They were wonderful. They prepared designs that were exactly what we were looking for. They listened to our wants and incorporated them perfectly into the plans. They were with us every step of the way from design plans, custom cabinet design, picking out appliances and plumbing fixtures. to selecting a contractor and throughout the construction process. Caren had an eye for detail and addressed problems during construction before my wife and I even noticed any issue. She knew all of the suppliers and trades we used and worked very well with them. Because of all her hard work our project came in on time and on budget with no surprises. This is the second time we have used Bistany Design and I am happy to recommend her to anyone that asks.

Caren and Tracy have once again done an outstanding job. I can not speak highly enough of them. This is our second project and there is no one else I would prefer to work with more. In the past 25 years I have built 2 high end custom homes, 3 restaurants and extensively renovated 3 homes. High quality, extensive knowledge, friendliness and efficiency are some of the characteristics important in our decision to move forward with a designer. From the outset it was evident Caren was the obvious choice. Our project included a complete renovation of the kitchen, laundry room and butlers pantry starting from the studs and sub-flooring. Caren and her team took an extensive inventory of all contents in the existing kitchen which was incorporated in the layout of the new design. Making choices in materials can be a daunting task however Caren was able to simplify the process by maintaining focus on our vision. It was also evident the respect Caren had with industry representatives including cabinetry, appliances, solid surfacing, tile and hardware. Caren was directly involved with the subcontractors who understood from the beginning their work had to be of high quality. A special thanks to Carens installer, Mike Pickett. There's no question Mike was the best contractor I have ever dealt with in all my projects. We recently completed an extensive renovation of our home built in 1937. We took our kitchen and bathrooms down to the studs and started over. Caren Bistany did an excellent job redesigning all of the spaces, selecting materials and vendors, and following up with the general contractor to ensure proper execution of the designs. She has tremendous attention to detail, great taste, and understands the utility needed from these rooms.

Quite possibly the best decision we made in our renovation was having Caren do our kitchen and baths. Her attention to detail is extraordinary and her commitment to quality unmatched. A creative problem solver, there was no challenge or hurdle that she didn't approach with optimism and solve with creativity. Caren came to our former home and took a detailed inventory of our kitchen equipment and supplies and designed our new kitchen so that everything had a custom designed home easily within reach. Caren was very easy to work with. My old kitchen was looking very dated and tired. She is knowledgeable and gifted in designing. She came to my house and took inventory of everything I stored in my kitchen cabinets and then designed the cabinets so that everything fit in perfectly. For my problem areas such as plastic containers/lids, different size casserole dishes, pots and pans, she designed sliding drawers for them instead of cabinets with doors. Makes access much easier! I love my new spice drawers and cutlery drawer. I highly recommend her for any kitchen and bath needs.

Our experience with Bistany Design during our kitchen remodel can be summarized in one word. PHENOMENAL! Doing a kitchen renovation can be extremely overwhelming. Making decisions regarding design, tile, appliances, lighting and cabinet selection are difficult given the number of options available. Caren's design experience, knowledge and vision helped tremendously as we sorted through all the different options and choices available to us. Caren was patient, accommodating and an absolute pleasure to work with! Her services are highly recommended and I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results. We certainly were!

We initially used Caren for a project ~10yrs ago. The projected entailed gutting a kitchen and taking down a wood deck and replacing with a stone deck that had a screened and non screened area. The kitchen was a total redisign that needed to flow into the new screened in section of the porch. Caren worked with the architect and after inventorying and measuring everything we had, came up with a design that accomodated our kitchen ware, utensils etc. that flowed perfectly. More importantly we did have a hiccup with the cabinets, the color was off. Caren worked with the company to ensure the color we desired was attainable and succeded in getting what we ordered. Like the cabinets, when the job was finished, Caren meticulously went over everything to make sure it was up to her expectations and if not had it fixed. She did find things we never saw. I guess the ultimate complement was getting a phone call from a friend returning from the beach. While on the beach and going thru an award magazine a kitchen caught her eye. She realized it was ours. We used Caren again on a similar project recently. Again a redo, this time a master bath where exiting was gutted and another 300+ square feet added. The experience and outcome were the same as when we did the kitchen. I would not hesitate to use Caren again and have recommended her to a number of friends and continue to do so.

Working with Bistany Design from concept to completion of our home renovation for more than two years was rewarding. Caren produced design plans for a kitchen, kitchenette, laundry room, three bathrooms and a master closet. Her expertise in space planning is surpassed only by her pleasant demeanor. She is organized, pays close attention to details and supplies high quality materials and installation. Caren coordinated the selection of appliances, cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, tiles, plumbing fixtures, hardware, flooring and lighting. She often served as a "team leader" with the contractor as the renovation project proceeded. Her ideas and materials integrated well with the other elements of the renovation. Caren's showroom is a pleasant and constructive area for meeting where she has a broad representation of cabinet materials. We give Bistany Design our highest recommendation and appreciate Caren's special talents that are now in our home.
